Hi Heiko. PAA has several brushes with varying degrees of firmness. The "Amber Aerolite" is significantly firmer than the "Perigrino". Personally I prefer the softer brushes - for me easier to create a lather. But as they say, "YMMV"; wet shaving is very subjective. 😊
I liked the Sentry on my face but it was a bit aggressive on my head. I bought the Konsul and it's nice dialing it back to 2 or 3 on my head. Great review. - Kevin
Great comparison! I had the chance to use the Sentry in a pass around but I didn't sign up for it because I didn't want to be tempted to buy it. The will is weak 😂. Take care, Mr Heiko!
I'm a collector, so i have all the Rex razors. Even tho the Slanted shave well, I never use them cause I just can't be bothered fiddling with a blade trying to load it into the razors. Without thinking of it, i'm able to load a blade into any other razor on autopilot blindfolded. Lately i've been using my Carbon CX Mild or my Timeless Ti .68 alot.
Very nice razors, an heirloom quality for the experienced shaver, and a superb value mild every day razor. It would be interesting to see how the Timeless slant compares to the .68 and the Slim from Timeless, sounds like it might be Slant / .68 / Slim (milder to more aggressive). Does make me wonder if a Titanium Slant with the corners rounded and Crown handle would be the business.
I have and love the Rex Sentry. As you say, it’s got just the right level of aggression and comfort to make for an excellent shave.

Thank you for sharing that.
Love your comparison shaves. I have the Timeless slant, and it gives me a great comfortable shave. Have a great weekend Heiko. 👍🎃
Thanks, you too!

Thanks 🙂

The will is weak indeed.

Carbon CX mild, interesting. There are so many great razors out there.

Love the timeless slant and the .95 titanium. If I only had one razor it would be the .95. Would love to have the aluminum with a .95 gap for travel.
Would have to go with the Rex, purely because it's SS, not a fan of lightweight razor's.
Have you tried the Omega evo Brushes. I have found I prefer it over simpson and yaqi
Not yet. Thanks for the suggestion.
Would you say the timeless slant is more aggressive then merkur 34c or the same?
No, the timeless aluminum slant is very mild and comfortable to use. I think they are both great options for beginners or guys with sensitive skin.
