- The Bethlehem Steel Corporation (1857-1995) was an American company that for much of the 20th century was one of the world's largest steel producing and shipbuilding companies.
Once part of the large Bethlehem Steel plant that took up a large portion of the south shores of the Lehigh River, this series of five blast furnaces were built starting in 1915.
During their height, these furnaces could each produce several tons of iron each day. This iron was turned into steel that was used in buildings and ships around the world. After they were closed in the end of 1995, much of the site was left abandoned.
Now, for those wanting to explore the history of the abandoned steel factory itself, there’s no better option than taking a walk along the Hoover-Mason Trestle.
Located 46 feet above the ground, the Hoover-Mason Trestle used to be the location of a narrow-gauge railroad that would take the materials needed to make iron to the blast furnaces.
Nowadays Bethlehem Steel turned into the Steel Stack campus is the largest revitalized abandoned place in the country and is situated on completely rusted Bethlehem Steel Ruins.
Steel Stacks is one of the most historic and haunted sites in Bethlehem that hosts regular events and urban explorers are able to learn a lot about history of Pennsylvania.
If you want to plunge into the atmosphere of Fallout 4, filled with eerie wind noise and grinding of metal, you are welcome.

Just found this one 😢
Just imagine, how cool would be to sneak in)
My dad always told me as a kid when the booming stops you're gonna see a big change and boy was he right. This place was much more than just the steel stacks I remember it looked like the plant went all the way up the river, good memories back in the 90s this was the heart of America now people aren't proud to be American at all and its sad
i was shocked when saw how scary tremendous was this plant. Millions of pipes, silos, stairs, etc etc. And everything was made of metal. Unimageable how hard was to built it.
