Jacob: *gets understandably exasperated*
Dale: *laughs in Satan*
I love Dale. He’s amazing.
Jordan loves it ;) he just likes to play rough
It feels like Paranoia was made for Dale.
It honestly feels like he wrote it himself. Fits like a glove.
@@lare290 i mean, he did make some of the cards, so maybe a new shoe he broke in quickly and is now really comfy.
Dale was made for Paranoia.
Praise Friend Computer.
"I don't know if your characters know what 'wind' is."
I'm pretty sure Kennedy does after that last roommate. *ba-dum-tish*
Dale quietly being salty about the players missing everything in the museum is a very familiar feeling as a DM.
The irony of that is that he was forced to give out information much earlier than intended in a previous session...
I'm so glad to have Jacob back.
Also, Kennedy referred to Nibbles by an incorrect pronoun, and *nobody* called her on it. I believe the Etiquette Officer should be penalized 5 XP Points next session.
[edit]Also, bonus reference for long-time viewers with Jacob calling Dale "Satan": one of Dale's first appearances in a Loading Ready Run skit was literally playing Satan.
Post-watch: This episode was amazing, and the look on Jacob's face at the end is priceless.
Okay, it seems that this group is FINALLY getting into the true spirit of PARANOIA - madcap chaos and hilarious backstabbery...of course, because this is LRR (and LRR-friends), the backstabbery is still relatively mild, but DEFINITELY done to enhance the entertainment value! "Chaos Jacob", especially, has jumped into what has traditionally been 'the anti-D&D' (or other co-operative RPG), and single-mindedly chosen actions for "what would be the funniest possible outcome?"
Also, everyone FINALLY taking Jacob's repeated reminders about "this thing we learned about called 'Moxy'" was utterly delightful - he was just so tickled pink by all the callbacks to his running gag!
This had everything; Beej repeatedly turning away from the camera to lose himself in laughter, Jacob looking like the protagonist from "Future Shock" at how much he's missed in just one session, Ian pulling his 'dastardly' mutation-theft, even Dale being gobsmacked by the playing of THAT CARD "which I'd like to remind you, you yourself wrote" and being all "well, we live here now, I guess".
This episode was so fun, I've saved it to my favourites on RUclips; I don't feel this was merely the best session of "Trouble in P4RA-DI5E", not merely the best session of "Dice Friends", but arguably the BEST session of a TTRPG recorded live....EVER.
EVER.
(of course, my perspective might be a little biased by the repeated attempts to watch this late at night, only to get maybe a half-hour further in before nodding off and waking up to the 'suggested videos' display; I am chuffed and excited that I have finally succeeded in watching ALL of this stream, and that might affect my opinion)
I hope Elisabeth-Y gets the demotion she wanted. Also that ending omg.
its DINO TIME! :)
Jacob: "Oh wait - what about..."
Beej: "O_O Ooooooo, riiiight."
Dale: "Huh. How interesting.
....Thank you for watching Dice Friends."
B)
Looking forward to the aftermath documents for this.
A ray of sunshine for a just plain awful day.
I so wish to play a game with Dale as GM... However, I am also scared to have him as GM...
Next Week, there will be 3 dinosaurs running around xD
So a bunch of traitors were successfully brought to justice (ie. introduced to the subocean), so clearly everything went exactly as it should have and the mission was a rousing (but not so rousing as to become annoying to the neighbors, because that would be rude) success.
Etiquette all the way to the end. Such a great team of Etiquette Officers!
Watching Beej get that yeeted was both painful and hilarious.
Like I get that it's good for the stream, but if a GM did that shit to me, I would be royally pissed.
Though I am early in the stream and I assume Dale has a plan...
In any other game, I'd agree. But Paranoia is unfair by design. The cost of entry is getting the deep-dick from Friend Computer at actual random.
@@RoyalFusilier Yeah, and he did anger his secret society and a citizen of higher clearance.
@@Winterpandacookies the Shooters producer being upset was pretty bs honestly, and you could see Dale trying desperately to come up with why he would be mad at Blake, who was not only the person who got to die tragically in his best friend's arms but also the one who single-handedly stopped an entire insurrection and got to walk away from an explosion looking like a badass giving the show a great climax. Literally, the xp points he got from it being so good is how he got his cab.
I suspected what was going to happen with the clone replacement at the end as soon as Jacob played the card that allowed for the substitution and I'm glad I was right, next session is going to be wild
YES!!!! was just about to rewatch and refresh myself on the story!
Not only is the theme still a banger, but that intro animation just keeps getting better!
That ending was the best thing I've ever seen on RUclips
"Huh... thank you for watching Dice Friends. "
Holy shit, poor Beej... It hurts. It hurts so much from all the laughing xD
Well I'm glad I finally got to watch this episode before work today. Jacob pulling a fast one at the end and all of the reactions to it was a fantastic way to end and can't wait for the next one. This group has been a lot of fun to watch play paranoia and it's fantastic to have Jacob back again.
1:43:53 Ok "live a little or get busy dying!" is a great life motto :p
It's a joy to have Jacob back.
Just saw episode 6 get posted. How am I a week behind!! Looks like I have a few more hours of entertainment tonight. Thanks LRR and thanks Dale!!
Edit:This was Soo good! Chaos is a ladder and they hit every single wrung falling off of it. Lol.
Beej: "Show me potato treason!"
USSR National Anthem
This was an absolutely fantastic episode! Was having a rough day and this just steamrolled right through that. You folks are wonderfully hilarious!
chaos jacob is amazing
How is every episode better than the last. HOLY SHIT
I can't believe Ira just up and breaks kayfabe like that.
Dale is my favorite DM
58:30 Glorious.
(also this is future reference for me, thanks past me)
There's the fan. Yall hit it real hard.
FUCK! I LOVE DALE! Jacob just makes this. I love their interactions.
What did poor Beej do to deserve that?
The Blake being in the closet joke deserves more attention
I love that even Jacob has no clue what's going on anymore. Also, Ian stealing the Nibbles mutation is not cool.
I feel that there is no 'fair' anymore :p
also that scream was heartwrenching!
I 100% forgot about that RAM card 😂
THAT ENDING THO
THIS IS SOOOOO GOOOOOOD OH MY GOODNESSSSS
Ooh poor Beej what did he do to deserve this?
The Wheel of Karma turns; for a while, Blake was on top....but then the wheel was on top of HIM (and now it seems he's climbing up the wheel's rim yet again...)
Yay Jordan is back
Kennedy-O evokes Jackie Onassis, in my mind.
THIS IS SO GOOOD
1:23:05 Ooh, I don't think anything about that song has ever been subtle before.
Jacob is my favorite person, omfg hahaha
Where did Jacob get that shirt? I need it in my life.
four etiquette officers in the same team souns like paranoia fo sho
So why don't they just ask Friend Computer who their Team Leader is and where they are located?
That would be incredibly rude to not know the name of your team leader.
But wouldn't Kennedy have died first? they were the lowest on the rope, so they would have hit the water first?
That card did say the next character who dies.
I mean, if we want to get nitpicky, I'm sure Dale or Beej could have story told a way to make Blake the first one out, but maybe they wanted to end on time.
I think they landed in the water relatively safely (other than the ice cold water) due to the kite person they where attached to but the ice water + nanobombs + lack of cold protection + already being maimed lead to him freezing in the water first
A green door? And no shakin stevens joke?
