    3:29 if you pause, you can see an anchor stamp with a number beneath it just ahead of the rear sight. That means this Garand saw service in the Danish navy. Fun little fact!

      KageRyuuUji when the enemy heard the 'ping' sound they assumed that they had ran out of ammo in their clips so they thought that they could wait till then to launch their attacks... the enemy eventually got used to it but not many survived to tell the tail.

    • @Frazzlefr
      @Frazzlefr 10 лет назад +1

      Im sure I've seen him use an MP40. I've fired a sten, whilst it's an iconic weapon, ita also incredible unreliable as they were assembled in such a hurry... they have a tendency to fall apart in ones hands

    • @themasterflo98

      ***** he chose only american weapons not german and british weapons

    • @Slapdash_86
      @Slapdash_86 10 лет назад

      Frazzlefr that's because Stens were build using random building materials like scaffolding and plumbing pipes during the war
      Britain getting bombed needing cheap weaponry that can keep up with the more expensive and complicated designs coming from the other nations
      Get one from Post WW2 when they were built in appropriate conditions with the right materials and I've heard that they are incredibly reliable due to simplicity

    Felt like I had to say this, but the "ping" that is heard when the clip is ejected from a Garand was mostly indistinguishable in the heat of battle. The only time that the enemy might be able to hear it was in close quarters fighting, and even then the sound rarely had an effect on combat. It was very unlikely that one guy would take on a bunch of German soldiers single handed, so one guy empties his gun there's a good chance there is another guy with his already loaded.

      im pretty sure you are joking but in case you aren't, the mosin nagant was russian weaponry

    • @aquatictoaster
      @aquatictoaster 10 лет назад

      America at one point did use mosins, not sure if it was in a war or just for training but Russia(I think) decided that they wanted a shitload from remington (I think) they canceled the order but a ton had already been made and remington was going to go bankrupt if they didn't sell them quickly. So they US government bit the bullet and bought them, I think they even tried to convert them to thirty aught as well as bent the bolt handles to fit with a 1903 style of bolt handle.
      For what its worth I think the government ended up selling them shortly after for scrap, the troops hated them and the thirty aught conversion proved to be more dangerous to the operator than the target.

      Germans only started putting the MP44 into service during 1944, when it was already too late for them to win. MP40s fired a pistol round, so at range they were terrible. And the MG42 ran out of ammo so fast that the crews had to rely on their Kar 98k.

    Enemies hearing the M1 ping is really just a myth.
    1. Combat rarely happens at a couple meter range
    2. It takes just a couple seconds to load a Garand
    3. When you are out of ammo, you would not be alone, you would have your friends with loaded weapons around you.
    Also, the only time when someone really had an advantage for having SMG:s was in Winter War when defending Finns had their KP-31:s against the Soviets who had no SMG:s. This is what convinced the Soviets that they needed an SMG of their own and they developed the PPSh-41.

    The m1 carbine is probably my favorite gun ever it was my great grandpas favorite gun when he was in WW2 and I myself haven't cleaned it in over 15 years maybe, and it works like a charm. Truly an American rifle
