The Chinese hellcat can be either teamed up with the Americans and wreck havac or just end up being used as a counter against American M18's and other lights. Besides if the latter happen the 90mm do well against most allied vehicles so I see why. You basically can fit in on everymatch even tho we get matched with allies often

Sherman had a stabilizer for all of WWII. However, it wasn't till later on that the crews were trained on them, and they were used for the intended purpose. The crews that didn't know what they were doing, would usually detach them.

The way I see it working out is negative for the 75mm Sherman's considering they were mostly anti-fort and infantry, in which case that stab seems more useful than speed. But for those 76mm Sherman's closing the distance to that tiger (panzer 3) does seem more useful than any stabilization could be.

I’m always amazed by how well Phly can use a Sherman to knock out panthers and tigers. Wish I had his skill.

While the Gyro on the sherman is often derided IRL as useless, this was largely a consequence of the stabilizer being so secret that training on its use and maintenance was essentially nil. Tankers that were trained on the gyrostabilizer's use almost universally loved it. The sherman's periscopic gunsight allowed situations like going full hull-down, but the gunner can still start aligning on target before the driver pushes out to expose the gun

I love the high quality intros we've been getting lately!!!
5.0-6.0 is my favorite BR, and between my German lineup of panther’s and tigers and TDs vs my 76 Sherman’s, what the Sherman beats every single one of those tanks in is maneuverability and time to engagement. I’m almost always first to shoot in my Shermans and those two advantages get me much further in the survivability onion than any of my cats

I remember someone saying once that a tiger could take on 10 Sherman’s, the trouble was that they would bring 11
There are well known cases of a Panther taking out 10 Shermans (Barkmann's corner comes to mind). But the actual average seems to have been closer to 3 Shermans knocked out for each Panther or Tiger knocked out. Of course any exchange ratio between Allied and German tanks in WW2 has to be an estimation because frankly we have no way of knowing exactly how many German tanks were knocked out for any given number of Allied tanks knocked out. The reason is that we can't just directly compare Allied records of tank losses to German records of tank losses like we would like to, and the reason for that is that the Allies and the Germans recorded their tank losses differently. The Allies recorded every tank that was knocked out in battle as "knocked out" even if it was later repaired. Whereas the Germans only recorded those which were knocked out and could not be repaired. So if you just look at the raw records the Germans will appear to have been doing better than they actually were since there are considerable numbers of losses that they aren't reporting.

@@gareththompson2708 I don't really even think it was 3. The Germans were almost always attacking from a defensive ambush position and the standard Sherman compliment was 5 tanks regardless of the enemy tanks

In fact the US only fought 3 tigers in WW2 the first time shermans killed it the second time it killed a pershing and the last time it was knocked out being off loaded from a train.... The allies never came across tigers... Now the russians on the other hand did fight them wayy more often. And the shermans 75mm was plenty capable of knocking out panthers and tigers... If you do the research you can find the actual stats from the war.. The shermans where very effective in WW2. In fact the sherman out performed the panther and tiger overall..... Sure the panther and tiger had better guns but they were produced in lower numbers and most broke down....

The M4A3 76mm Sherman has had a gyro stabiliser ingame for as long as I can remember, incredibly underrated vehicle, good to see it getting some coverage 👍
Great video! I love the 76 Shermans (currently at the M4A1 76). Amazing all-rounders, the only thing that they can't really do is soak up fire, but it can be fire support, flanker, close-quarters brawler, and it can evan snipe, though I wouldn't recommend staying outside of cover while doing sniping. I found that shooting in between your opponent's shots and ducking into cover when they fire is a good technique, but I'm a new player so if I said anything incorrect please correct me.
Day 10: Play the SM.91 in air RB, and ground I guess, it's been a while.
Piadina will be buried with military honors and a Purple Heart, the absolute chad.

The Sherman got the stabilizer with patch 1.67
I think the best thing that can be said for the Sherman line is that they’re exceptional generalists. They don’t really excel at anything, but they don’t have any glaring weaknesses either. When compared with anything at a similar br, the Sherman might be weaker on paper, but it more than makes up for it in actual performance.

5:25 No, stabilizers were't added into the game until 1.67, a year and a half after Steel Generals that added the US tanks. However even then they were borked for another year or so and only just recently had their speed increased in one of the last few major updates.

You can play the 5.3 one at the cost of APCR they are the same, the easy 8 just gets 5.7 because it can use APCR
The only thing which is better in tiger is pen and caliber, rest is the same or better in sherman (tiger 1's armor is trash for a heavy tank, yes you can angle it, but you need to do it perfectly, you can angle only to 1 enemy since you need to do it perfectly and even then a lot of guns will just pen you)

Sherman 76, hellcat doesn't care, british 17pounder on comet, centurion mk1, avenger, challenger, firefly doesn't care, russian 85 also doesn't care, even if you angle literally PERFECTLY they will pen (maybe not early russian 85), or even weaker guns will pen 62mm plate behind the tracks, on long distance maybe tiger's armor can work but first of all there are few long range maps and second of all points are in the cities or other short short range fight area anyways, for example kursk, flanks on which you can snipe are usually empty, everyone goes on b, no one will fight with you on long range unless they can pen you while being safe, long range sniping on moving targets is hard unless you are playing every day one tank and you feel ballistics perfectly, third of all you can't be angled towards enemy all the time, eventually you need to go and cap the base, then they will slaughter you, unless you have stabilizer in your brain and you know exactly when to click (which is quite satisfying once you learn it on panther for example) and you fight with one enemy at a time

Phly, the Chinese have the M-18 as well. And the Shermans started having a stabilizer several patches ago. I think that it started to have a stabilizer during the patch Northern Wind or Viking fury.

Nah, just angle, that's the pro tiger starter pack, then u can try with armor and shell types, but heat sucks unless u very long range, find a nice spot, u know, tonk things, there are many videos out there with better advice u can check, but please, don't be dat boi
