St. Luke's College :: Phlebotomy Program

As the need for health care continues to grow, so does the need for qualified professional phlebotomists. The primary function of the phlebotomist is the collection and transportation of patient specimens for laboratory analysis. These professionals assist physicians and nurses by focusing on blood collection, data entry and specimen processing.
St. Luke's College offers the areas only phlebotomy certificate program where you will learn phlebotomy theory, principles and techniques through classroom lectures and supervised clinical performance at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center and other health care facilities in the area.
The clinical portion of the program is designed to provide students with entry-level competencies and consists of 120 clock hours with the successful completion of 100 venipunctures and 25 dermal punctures.
