  • This year's AGM day brought ringers from around Kent to Wrotham on a rather wet and chilly Easter bank holiday Monday. The set of tower routes leading up to Wrotham started at Boxley, Sevenoaks, Shoreham and Meopham, gradually leading to Wrotham.
Ringing catered for all abilities and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable time. At Sevenoaks (a lovely midweight 8 set on top of a hill), we joined the Frittenden bellringers and a couple from Hailsham, joining forces with several other well-known ringers from around the district at Ightham (a rather sweet little country village 6). At Wrotham, we achieved a respectable half course of Cambridge Surprise Major, and an invited band rang a touch of Grandsire Triples prior to the meeting itself and service.
The weather seemed to clear up for a rather lovely evening at Chevening. Sadly, we didn't have the numbers for all 8, so what might be perceived as some instructional videos for plain hunt on 3, 4 and call changes is featured. We did however manage to impress a Canadian family and ventured to the roof to take in some rather lovely scenery.
