Unless Mattel starts making all Barbies articulated I bet in 10 to 15 years time there will not be a single doll that isn't hybrid in some fashion. They gave us curvy tall and petite and we finally have one single curvy made to move but unless we get a petite made to move all Skipper dolls are going to either have the Disney Descendants bodies or something else. I mean seriously it's not that hard to make elbow and knee joints especially when they give it to a doll that comes with a bicycle or is in gymnastics.
I was actually thinking of buying more descendants dolls so that way I could head transplant my forces of Destiny dolls Rey and Leia with an extra Evie or two. Turns out Lonnie is too yellow. I just wish that Mattel would listen to its customers especially if they want us to keep buying from them.

Good idea. These teen babysitter dolls are not articulate. That makes it harder for then to hold their babysitting charges and accessories. So I am glad you thought to do this. It allows then to hold their charges and accessories.
Better yet if Mattel would be held accountable to move into the 21st century already, instead of continuing to produce dolls with the mere "standard 5 points of articulation" (which is soooo 1950's/early 60's); and yet still continuing to receive all kinds of endorsement and publicity. One main reason they do this is to force collectors to purchase more than one doll for each different character that they want. it's only good for their bottom line. -_-
The Popcorn doll looks like a Poppy to me, both with her love of popcorn and flowers.
The Cupcake girl looks like a Jiang to me which means river.
The Rainbow girl looks like a Frida which means peaceful.
The Pink Striped girl looks like a Aida which means reward or present.
The Blue Boy looks like a David which means beloved.
Skipper of course means captain which is probably why she's the leader of her group!
And the little girl could be called Kalani which means of the heavens.
I think these names are pretty cool but if I have got any of the meanings wrong please tell me so I can correct them and also what would you guys name them?

My Froggy Stuff--I had to laugh out loud at "sometimes a doll collector has to do what a doll collector has to do". That is sooo true. My doll collecting began in the year of my birth, just after WW II and continues to this day. The hardest doll for me to find was a Skipper from the early Barbie years. I never did get one within my budget range! So, I bought a more "modern" Skipper (ok, she has dark brown hair with a blue streak in it) and, instead, made it my mission in life to find the old vintage sewing patterns, albeit in reproduction form. So glad to see that Skipper and her friends are back in popularity for another generation of doll lovers to enjooy! Love your vlogs.

I finally found him and the Asian looking girl after a two month search. Still can't find the African American girls, and my local stores aren't stocking the dolls that come with the playsets for some reason.

To fix that ‘upturned foot’ problem, you can boil water, let it cool until hot(but not bubbling) and dip her into the water up to her ankles and leave her in there for about 10-15 seconds. After that, take her out and let her cook until warm (not too hot to touch but warm enough so that the plastic is plyable, and mold her feet to the position you would like! (I do this sometimes for monster high dolls so that their feet aren’t at such an angle) howrever, I’ve found it does make the dolls shorter-so, keep that in mind.
Go to Walmart for the last one you need. I saw two there when I went a couple weeks ago by where I lived.
