I love Pete Scazzeros insights towards the last 5 or 10 minutes of this video. What he says is so true. It does seem like there is this "Americanized version of Christianity" where people are fixated on being "popular and great" in our churches..

Thank you for putting these interviews out there so that other body of Christ can feed on the experiences of other leaders who had gone before! Thankful for God's grace that is continuously being done through your work!

Love this. Rushing, not listening. That's all missing a moment with God and not spending time with God.

'Science for the Church' is a great organization led by pastors whose ministry to emerging young adults and scientists enriches all congregants in houses of worship. I find it fascinating.

Culture eats strategy for breakfast - I read recently and it seemed helpful in the context of grenograms of our churches.

Coaching questions puts the ball in the other persons court. It requires them to do the work. This is a powerful way to disciple. If they get stuck then ask mentoring questions.

why does one have to leave their culture to be a disciple? Seems to run counter to 1 Cor 7 as well as quite a few examples in the Gospels, Acts 15, etc. Lots of great content here, but that part didn't resonate. Perhaps if he fleshed that out more, I would agree, but the word choice gave me significant pause.
