No he didn’t lol Cell is dead in Hell. He just passed Cell off to Gohan to defeat and when Gohan didn’t fully finish the job and Cell was gonna self destruct and kill them all Goku uses instant transmission to take him to King Kai’s planet and he blows up killing himself and Goku. Didn’t spare him at all

If he didn't, Cell would've been killed in like, two seconds.
