I think this was Toriyama just letting them be a family one last time before he left. It was a feel good chapter, not about power levels or developing characters, but taking the characters he’s built throughout his life and letting them be a family. If you ask me, it’s the perfect chapter for him to end on. Dragon ball isn’t all about its hype battles and power scaling.

Super Broly was a victim of his father and Frieza trying to use him for his powers. He didn’t even want to fight in the first place and they almost killed him over it

I feel Toriyama couldn't move on from Goku being his main considering how long he's being writing his story so Toyotaro inheriting Dragon Ball will give the franchise a new direction. I identify with the dilemma Akira Toriyama had to deal with quite a bit. For as many characters he's created he probably couldn't find a good point to break away from Goku's story.

That could actually happen. There are three zamasu's from 3 timelines. 1. Present zamasu from the present timeline 2. Future zamasu. The one that wished to be immortal. 3. Goku black. Only the goku black timeline was erased. Zamasu might return. Not to mention zamasu from the android and cell future.
Im really hoping that implication of gohan now being strong enough protect earth is that goku n vegeta and hopefully broly too will travel to other universes n we will get some arcs that take place entirely outside of the main universe since they no longer need to be around to protect it. I wonna see a universe 6 saiyan arc.
I think this is where they start to really bond and have that special Granddaughter and Grandfather relationship they displayed in end of Z and GT(I know it’s non canon).
While the cause hasn't been released, I have a feeling that high blood pressure was undoubtedly a partial cause of Toriyama's subdural hematoma. A lot of Japanese citizens pass too soon due to how stressful work culture is there, and the manga industry is one of the most demanding. So sadly many die before age 70 due to high blood pressure related conditions and sleep deprivation. As the creator of one of the most popular manga and anime in the world, he no doubt worked hundreds of hours overtime to satisfy millions of fans. All I can be is grateful for his and everyone else's work because it definitely made my life better. Rest easy Toriyama Sensei ❤
I’m just glad we’re getting some Broly development. If he matched Beast Gohan in just Super Saiyan there is no telling how much more powerful he could become.
He didn’t match him- gohan kind of owned him here in terms of fighting goes. Which is just insane, people forget gohan is like 20 years younger than Broly. That’s 20 years less life experience. Broly also been training with goku and vegeta and whis. However Broly managed to unlock a new form- a controlled version of his enraged berserk form. This helped him progress. Both of them have tons of growth potential. I think it’s safe to say they both have similar potential- Broly with the most potential among pure bloods and gohan the most among half bloods. All in all I gohan is still a few steps ahead of Broly. While Broly is still new to ssj transformations, he still is older and more experienced than gohan overall and has been training harder. Also it’s interesting to note that gohan also has to control and hold back beast form, he said he could power up enough to go beserk. Both of them are similar and will grow a lot.

He’s a saiyan, training is his instinct and we have no idea what he did all that time if he only stayed on that planet, if no one strong ever invaded it or not. It was actually a very hostile environment with strong creatures he had to fight with to survive constantly on top of that. As a pure blooded saiyan it’s doubtful Broly never trained himself or sought out powerful opponents all this time as that is their instincts and why goku and vegeta never stop training. Gohan getting lazy and not training and losing progress is cuz he is more mentally human than saiyan, he’s a hybrid. If gohan had been full saiyan or had more of a saiyan mentality when it comes to fighting he would’ve never stopped training.

Glad that the torch of earth’s defender has finally been given to Gohan as it should’ve been kept with him after Cell. Goku said the same thing here that now he’s satisfied and knows earth is safe with Gohan there. I'm reading some comments and I'm scratching my head, not sure how some people reach the conclusion that Goku is significantly stronger than Gohan based on this fight , to me it shows that on average Gohan have more raw strength while Goku has better experience and speed, putting them in the same 'weight' category is a fail conclusion

Broly being able to push back Beast Gohan with a simple SSJ form only shows how powerful he is. If he ever were to get SSG some how. He would literally blink the whole universe and everybody in it.
Db characters are not the strongest in anime, and also being strong doents make a character good. He made good and creative characters and he deserves praise for that. Making characters strong is easy and everyone can do it, now making good characters is hard.

I absolutely didnt liked AF designs by Toyotaro. Beast Gohan definitely looks like one of those weird SSJ5 designs. I fear that DB might fade into obscureness as time passes. Goku never see beerus' true power anime-wise, the 50% that beetus mentioned is a lie too. Which means the truth is broly is still probably around ~10% beerus. Or maybe not even close. The author never intented to show beerus' limit after all
Well, Broly was originally known as "The God of Destruction" before Beerus came along. He had the title in a few PSP games, and I think even some of the old Budokai games. I distincly remember an item in Budokai 3 that was for Broly called: "God of Destruction"

Extreme missed opportunity to make the Beast form an evolution of the Mystic form, it would have taken some plot convenience, but it wouldn't that hard to believe that the Beast form could be the final product of mystic, and it would be cool as Hell to have the 3 main saiyans all using separate deity forms Goku using the form of the Angels Vegeta using the form of the Destruction Gods and Gohan using the form of the Kais

What? If you think this, you haven't been paying attention... Since his introduction, Gohan has been stated to have "limitless potential" by characters in-show (Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Guru, Elder Kai) as well as Akira in multiple interviews over the last 30 years. Gohan has the most potential of anybody in the show, which is why he was initially supposed to have taken over as the main character way back in Z. He was the youngest SSJ and then became the first/youngest SSJ2. When Z ended, Gohan was literally the strongest character in the show (discounting Vejito and Super Buutenks fusions). He is his only weakness, because he doesn't have a passion for fighting. And if you actually comprehended this chapter of the manga, Gohan has something similar to Broly, who also technically has limitless potential but not to Gohan's extent because Berserker Form only raises that power continually in uncontrolled form, which would result in the users eventually self-destructing. We know of no such limit with Gohan Beast form. Akira also said recently that he was trying to think of what Gohan's next stage would look like beyond Beast.

Im really hoping that implication of gohan now being strong enough protect earth is that goku n vegeta and hopefully broly too will travel to other universes n we will get some arcs that take place entirely outside of the main universe since they no longer need to be around to protect it. While the cause hasn't been released, I have a feeling that high blood pressure was undoubtedly a partial cause of Toriyama's subdural hematoma. A lot of Japanese citizens pass too soon due to how stressful work culture is there, and the manga industry is one of the most demanding. So sadly many die before age 70 due to high blood pressure related conditions and sleep deprivation. As the creator of one of the most popular manga and anime in the world, he no doubt worked hundreds of hours overtime to satisfy millions of fans. All I can be is grateful for his and everyone else's work because it definitely made my life better. Rest easy Toriyama Sensei ❤

If he matched Beast Gohan in just Super Saiyan there is no telling how much more powerful he could become.
He didn’t match him- gohan kind of owned him here in terms of fighting goes. Which is just insane, people forget gohan is like 20 years younger than Broly. That’s 20 years less life experience. Broly also been training with goku and vegeta and whis. However Broly managed to unlock a new form- a controlled version of his enraged berserk form. This helped him progress. Both of them have tons of growth potential. I think it’s safe to say they both have similar potential- Broly with the most potential among pure bloods and gohan the most among half bloods. All in all I gohan is still a few steps ahead of Broly. While Broly is still new to ssj transformations, he still is older and more experienced than gohan overall and has been training harder. Also it’s interesting to note that gohan also has to control and hold back beast form, he said he could power up enough to go beserk. Both of them are similar and will grow a lot.

He’s a saiyan, training is his instinct and we have no idea what he did all that time if he only stayed on that planet, if no one strong ever invaded it or not. It was actually a very hostile environment with strong creatures he had to fight with to survive constantly on top of that. As a pure blooded saiyan it’s doubtful Broly never trained himself or sought out powerful opponents all this time as that is their instincts and why goku and vegeta never stop training. Gohan getting lazy and not training and losing progress is cuz he is more mentally human than saiyan, he’s a hybrid. If gohan had been full saiyan or had more of a saiyan mentality when it comes to fighting he would’ve never stopped training.

So was jumping to Ssb level just training with piccolo a few hours. Also how come people don’t have problems with brolys ridiculous progress but always have issues when gohan does it and he’s always been stated to have the most potential?

Like goku says it's never been his intention to beat gohan because it's always been his intention to see gohan Surpass him because ultimately no matter how old sayans live, they are mortal and goku loves Earth. Whether he's saying or not, that is where he knows it's home, and he wants to know that there is somebody protecting it when he's gone and gohan, is that person. Yes, goten and trunks are strong, but they rely on each other too much go on as an individual has the ability to surpass his father. And we have known that since the cell sago at 12 years old. He's not even a teenager. He's able to achieve super saiyan 2 and defeat an opponent. His father was unable to goku knows that. He has always known that he's always had that confidence in gohan. He saw it for himself in the time chamber I would like to see the story eventually.Drop away from goku.And move on to gohan And oub. Piccolo, a Namakian who can create Dragon Ball The Wishing orbs . Even in villain mode and Kami mode, Piccolo is the reason Dragon Ball exists on earth. Much like Akira Toriyama Sensei is the reason we have the Dragon Ball franchise to see.

Extreme missed opportunity to make the Beast form an evolution of the Mystic form, it would have taken some plot convenience, but it wouldn't that hard to believe that the Beast form could be the final product of mystic, and it would be cool as Hell to have the 3 main saiyans all using separate deity forms

Waste of time is an understatement. Gohan scared Beerus, and due to the fact that he's been training Goku and Vegeta for so long, only for Gohan to absolutely cook them is why he's mad.
What? If you think this, you haven't been paying attention...
Since his introduction, Gohan has been stated to have "limitless potential" by characters in-show (Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Guru, Elder Kai) as well as Akira in multiple interviews over the last 30 years. Gohan has the most potential of anybody in the show, which is why he was initially supposed to have taken over as the main character way back in Z. He was the youngest SSJ and then became the first/youngest SSJ2. When Z ended, Gohan was literally the strongest character in the show (discounting Vejito and Super Buutenks fusions). He is his only weakness, because he doesn't have a passion for fighting.
And if you actually comprehended this chapter of the manga, Gohan has something similar to Broly, who also technically has limitless potential but not to Gohan's extent because Berserker Form only raises that power continually in uncontrolled form, which would result in the users eventually self-destructing. We know of no such limit with Gohan Beast form. Akira also said recently that he was trying to think of what Gohan's next stage would look like beyond Beast.
