YES! LOATHE! Sounds awesome with the DJAA MAASTA! And thanks so much for the shout out. Hope you have a lot of fun with this instrument. Can't wait to hear some more Loathe covers with it :)
Good Job Andrew, as usual ! thank you!
Love that full circle story haha
Djropped my djaw when I saw you cover this. 😎 THANKS ANDjREW
Didn't know you were a Windows guy as well. Hell yes brother!
I have gotten used to Mac, having switched over after the Windows XP days. I never looked back because the Mac was just simpler and more efficient. That was in 2008 though… I’m wondering now if a gaming laptop would be better, considering i could also actually play games that Crossover allows me to barely run on my M1.
The price to performance ratio also seems better with a PC still, because the M1 isn’t the insane jump in performance people claimed it was
I just saw XRC's video on this too. Is it just me, or does this plugin sound really fake? I think the big chords sounded good, but the riffing just instantly sounds fake to me. Maybe that's just me though!
They can sound really really good with loads of automation but yeah if they don’t use that then it sounds artificial as fuck.
i agree, maybe is that not many people program the articulations between notes to make it sound more realistic
I was involved with Otto Audio on building this instrument. Here Andrew mainly used the MAASTA Performance patch for this demo which is used to get riff ideas down fast (as in that articulation there are multiple modes mapped across the velocity layers). But if you dive deeper into the other articulations you can get more realistic results with the velocity editing. Demo it for free and you will see it sounds ultra realistic!
I feel the same way about Ottoaudio 1111.
It sounds bad.
Hey all! I'm the guy who did the trailer video and composed the song for the new Djaa Maasta update (won't link it, but it is: "Djaa Maasta™ NOW with Double Tracking🔥🔥 " if you're interested in hearing that.) With that said, I think you can easily make this sound really realistic! I'm not being paid to support, defend or even like the product. But, I just do. I think it's sick, I've already used it in a couple personal projects. Like any midi instrument, of which I have about 6 terabytes of, you're not just gonna put notes down and have it sound realistic. Work with it. Program it how a guitarist would play it. Make it perfectly imperfect. Before writing the demo song, I sat and played with every aspect of the instrument for about 3 days to know exactly what it's capable of.
Hopefully those who aren't quite sold on the sounds here take a second listen to what it's capable of, because it's genuinely sick!
Thanks for the comment Austin. Your song sound absolutely amazing in that trailer video. Completely blew me away. I can't to hear more tracks from you :)
I just bought that guitar, it's a fun one!
It sounds unrealistic here, but it would perfect for a modern take on Bobby Prince’s style of Doom music
What string gauge do you use on this in drop E? I used ernie ball 8string set on harley benton baritone and low F is already floppy AF😢
Try 90
@@PseudoPsycho i already struggle with a lot of fret buzz. Im afraid it wouldnt work at all🫤
I always just do some variation of 10-80 plus or minus strings
@@PSZEMKI sounds like your guitar isn't set-up properly,
@@PSZEMKI i have a similar problem with my Gretsch Baritone, i'm planning on taking it to a professional and get it set up properly, since I don't trust myself to mess with the truss rod and intonation. Maybe letting a professional set the guitar up would help you too.
now time for a gretsch baritone plugin
U mean to tell me someone made a MIDI guitar that DOESN'T sound like ass???
What can I say but yep 😎
Ouf gotta say it does not sound good...
Not a fan
....? Of what?
@@JUNKO____ of how it sounds
@@JUNKO____ oh shoot I see now 😂
Agreed
Shreddage or Ample is way better lol. This sounds so fake, the only thing close to real are chords. 🤣
I personally think that Plugin sounds really bad and outdated
Im not going to lie but this plugin sounds fake af which is a damn shame 🫤

That's not on the software though, that'd be on the user.
