voice of the soul is a fucking masterpiece
Sound of Perseverance is a great album
should it really count as acoustic?
I was ecstatic to see that Voice Of The Soul on this list. Fucking still gives me chills to this day
chuck schuldiner is a masterpiece
TOMMY _ Best instrumental!!
It should be called "Greatest acoustic songs by metal bands"
Chuckjay M Makes more sense
i just got the biggest wave of goosebumps when Voice of the Soul came up, what a legendary song
Suicide Note Part 1 is a masterpiece. Such a different style for the band and the genre yet it works perfectly with the instrumental arrangement and the lyrics.
Fun fact, it's the only Pantera song to not feature a electric guitar.
I think the best part about it is the juxtaposition of the acoustic, somber nature of part 1 followed by the fucking explosive, annihilation that is Part 2.
It's their Softest song followed by their Heaviest song
@@michaelczesnozki1671 what about Hollow its acoustic too
Metal musicians make better acoustic music than acoustic musicians themselves.

True
Voice of the soul is fucking beautiful. RIP Chuck
See you everywhere dude
heythereFuckyou Hey its you again.
Suicide note part 1 absolutely deserves the top spot. A shame they never played it live
I so wish they did! They played Good Friends and A Bottle of Pills live occasionally but not this one. One of my fav Pantera songs.
RuffisInc they played but is not ins youtube
Wardo Melena no pantera never played that song live.
Yes they did I saw it on a video
Electrify They played the studio version through the speakers as an intro. They didn't actually perform it.
"Voice of the soul" will always have a special place in my Heavy Metal heart R.I.P Chuck
Journeyman is one of my Favorite Maiden songs!
Der Stein the most underrated Iron Maiden song of all time!
Dean Hunt whole Dance of Death album is underrated (especially the title track)
Fuck yes Voice of the Soul is dank
Billy Gibbons not really cause the voice of that song is the guitar
Billy Gibbons its both acoustic and electric
Yes but fade to black is too...so loudwire is pretty stupid but at least they gave some credit to death/chuck
Surprised slayer isn't on here...
Caleb Ogle what song?
paris Soares (I was kidding)
oh sorry haha, for a sec I thought Kerry was actually gonna make an acoustic track
No they don't they don't use acoustic spill the blood was not done with acoustic guitar
Caleb Ogle i cant even think of a slayer song that could be in acoustic. would be cool.
Planet Caravan?
probably not acoustic
I honestly liked Pantera's cover of Planet Caravan more..
That song sounds amazing...Pantera kicks ass!!
planet caravan was recorded with dimebags clean tone, not acoustic.
Solitude?
Voice of the souls deserves better. R.I.P Chuck.
Thank you Loudwire for giving Trail of Tears by Testament recognition.
Actually how I found the song. I love it.
I'm just happy to see Opeth here. And equally saddened to not find Roulette.
Ashim Upadhyaya benighted.
Should have been To Bid You Farewell.
Roulette by System?
Chris In Minneapolis Idk man, it's so difficult to choose one Opeth song. For me, it has to be Patterns in the Ivy 2
The Hazza Yes Sir!
I'm surprised Cannibal Corpse isn't here. Some of their music is so peaceful 😌
Name some of them please
Hammer smashed face
I personally think that "So Far Away" and "Snuff" should be on the list.
William Brix-Riisager so far away is not acoustic
So far away is acoustic
Florian Bizien no, It has an eletric guitar solo. Therefore, not acoustic
fade to black is in the list, however the majoryti if the song is play with electric guitar. The acoustic guitar is more present in so far away.
Florian Bizien So Far Away is acoustic
finally this pantera's masterpiece gets mentioned somewhere
"Roulette"-SOAD and
"So Far Away"-A7X were great acoustics too ;)
The Pie that the Cats Eat I would say So Far Away is Rock but Seize the Day is definitely a metal ballad
Rat Head not metal
Rat Head roulette should’ve had an honorable mention at least lol
The Pie that the Cats Eat you really are everywhere
Fuck Trump
Then why was Vermillion pt 2 on here?
Ahhhhhh Opeth, Damnation is a Beautiful record.
I thought it would be nothing else matters
It's not acousic
But yes mama said is a good option
Also snuff would be good
Bleeding me and Nothing else matters aren't acoustic, but they were played acoustic a few times
Having acoustic elements or parts doesn't make it an acoustic song. Nothing Else Matters, Fade to Black, Bleeding Me and Voice of the Soul are all great songs that use acoustic guitars, but they also have electric parts. An acoustic instrument audibly creates is own sound waves. I would grant the use of a mic-ed acoustic, or an acoustic electric in a concert just so everybody can hear it, but ultimately its the guitar producing the sound. When you have an electric guitar, you are relying on a signal chain from pick ups, through effects pedals, into an amplify and out through speakers. Technically that is not acoustic but its not being made by the instrument physically. A piano hits strings to make them vibrate, and we hear those vibrations, that the sound. A keyboard registers a key being played, and plays what sound it thinks it should be electronically by sending it to a speaker. While entirely possible to play it like a piano (assuming it can replicate a piano perfectly), its also possible to make it sound like anything, a synth for instance. That is not acoustic. An acoustic song relies solely on acoustic instruments whose sound most be produced by the instrument and not modulating electric signals to a speaker. I'd be hesitant to consider an "unplugged" version of a song as acoustic, as that is just an acoustic version or performance of an otherwise non-acoustic track, whereas an acoustic song is primarily written and always played that way.
i knew that vermillion pt. 2 will be here
this is sad potato I thought it would be snuff tbh
Keke 66 i love snuff too
If i could share a meeting with Mozart, and present to him a piece of our time, i would gladly hand Voice of the Soul to him. I think Mozart would have been very happy
Blind Guardian is easily one of my favorite metal bands.
Blind Guardian and Pantera being on the same video makes this the best video.
We need more Blind Guardian on lists like these.
This is by far the best list you ever done Loudwire
🎶
In my thoughts and in my dreams
They're always in my mind
These songs of hobbits, dwarfs and men
And elves
Come close your eyes
You can see them too
🎶
Florian Grimaldi How is bards song not on the 1st spot?
The Yigo I don't know bro, this song is for me one of the greatest rock anthem, and so the best on this list. Just look at lives... this is why Blind Guardian is the band I most want to see in concert.
Now you all know
Bard and their songs
Songs they missed:
Mama Said- Metallica
So Far Away- Avenged Sevenfold
A lot of Led Zep if you count them as a metal band
Mama Said doesn't deserve to be here
I didn't know suicide note was THAT good
BILLONY S It is
Greedy guy thank you greedy guy
BILLONY S you should hear pt. 2
I have its quite brutal. The chorus is really nice
I agree
voice of a soul !!!!!
I was blown away by No. 4 and No. 3 especially since I hadn't heard them before. No. 4 was great since it seemed the entire crowd was singing which would be every musician's dream.
So happy seeing voice of the soul and silent Lucidity on here
Windowpane is such an incredible song and of course Maiden🤘🤘
Aww, no "roulette" by system of a down?
all these songs are great i love these all
nothing beats voice of the soul .c'mon
I guess it was lower as its not fully acoustic compared to like the journeyman
@@zsjb_ Fade to Black isn't fully acoustic either
snuff
T \oo/ that's my #1 🤘
Snuff isn't acoustic when you get further into the song.
Dankus Memus neither is fade to black but that was included
vermillion is such an incredible song. everytime i listen to it i find a new meaning for it. it is about so much, what a masterpiece
I couldn't agree more with number 1. It gives me chills every time I hear it
Oh and do a Top 10 Pantera Songs!
YES!! You have to do this!
akibiri they would have to make two lists. One for Metal Pantera and one for Glam rock Pantera
Tom Foolery no one talks about glam era pantera
Tom Foolery I actually never listenee to any of the glam metal era stuff. I think first should be Pantera after Cowboys From Hell :D
mark egipto because they were fucking embarrassing then, glam pantera made poison look heavy.
Fucking Suicide Note pt. 1🤘
voice of the soul is just one of the best songs a human being can hear in his life
This video needs a part 2 so many songs missed out on this list
VOICE OF THE SOUL AND OTHER 9.....
The Bard's Song is just as exquisite
Tenacious D?

antiedibar
Because of Tenac not being in this list, its only a tribue.
They are rock, not metal, love them tho
Good list :)
Voice of a soul should be number 1. It's an absolute masterpiece
Lead Me Home by Shadows Fall is a really underrated acoustic song
Vermillion Pt. 2 is an incredible and emotional song \m/
Great list. Glad to see testament, Death,& Cynic. Great Bands.
Totally agree with number one
I think "Before I Forget" by Slipknot should be made acoustically. That would be EPIC!!!😀
Jamal Sampson there's an acoustic cover of it
Oh, that's COOL! I will TRY & look it up!!!😀
I don't think so
A Tout Le Monde ?
Влад Музалевский pretty sure it's played on the clean not acoustic
Влад Музалевский yes they played a acoustic version in mn here way back during youth tour with korn when they were still in diapers.
Its only played on acoystic at tge beggining of the song
Grave Mike it’s got an acoustic intro that doesn’t make it an acoustic song, it’s like saying fight fire with fire is an acoustic metal song
Trial of tears and vermillion... this is now the best video ever
Oh, that number one
Benighted - opeth
I prefer harvest
Journeyman and Fade to Black are my favorites here. Especially Fade to Black. Nothing quite matches the unique connection Metallica make to the human soul in their deeper songs, if you ask me :)
I loved Return to Serenity (unplugged) by Testament. Same album I believe. Amazing composition.
At first I was really happy they picked fade to black over nothing else matters, then I was really really happy when I saw the number one spot
voice of the soul is a fucking gem
Voice of the soul is easily at least top 3

@@CalligherIV grunge AND alt metal
Acoustic version of 'Safe Home' by Anthrax is so underrated
SUICIDE NOTE PT.1!!! Still my favorite acoustic metal song to this day! That song is so haunting...Phil's vocals along with Dime on 12 string....Dime could make any song (acoustic/metal) sound amazing! R.I.P Dimebag
Only on e "metal acoustic song", Fade to Black. The rest were acoustic songs, by metal bands.
Bards Song is the mos Power Metal song ever made dude
Voice of the soul is pretty metal
Hardest part of letting go by megadeth
Journey man is amazing so glad they put it on here
Including Journeyman made me really happy.
What about So Far Away - A7X. It's for their dead drummer.
I'm happy that Pantera are number 1 with Suicide Note pt 1
Yes yes and yes for Pantera! Rammstein also has amazing acoustic songs. I'm surprised not one of them were mentioned here.
Voice of the Soul is godlike!
Desolate ways by morbid angel anyone?
eehh hellooo, some of Judas priest, one of the best metal bands of all time??? idk maybe beyond the realms of death, diamons and rust, ANGEL, etc.....
angel is really good
Fade to black gives me chills
Krisiun Diableros an underrated accoustic instrumental. From the album Ageless Venomous comes this blistering death metal instrumental that will make fingers bleed. A deserving add to this list.
also, WHERE THE FUCK IS PLANET CARAVAN???
Danjoker Not acoustice

Or the entire Damnation LP. Beautiful acoustic record... For a (ex?) Death metal band lolz.
