I thought you did a good job. I think a free-flowing style is more accessible. If you worked for CNN, then I could see the criticism, but I have enjoyed every moment of it so far.
Rewatch crew! I have loved the coverage on JC and Dramagedon because now some of the people like Rich for example are more removed from it and frankly older so the retrospect is so valuable. Plus let's be real, this cycle is repeating on other platforms and it's fascinating!

As someone who studied HR and psychology, it's really very interesting from a human and social point of view. Then it's been a long time, young people don't go into the YT archives, these people are on TikTok full of young people are WOW, but don't know at all who they're dealing with, so a reminder and a warning for the younger ones. In addition, to put it all together, we make connections that we hadn't seen when it happened. I think you did the interview well, because he needs to talk about ventilating you ask a question and he's gone for glory and it allows Gabriel to be himself. I really liked the fact that you respect that about him, having ADHD I tend to be a bit like Gabriel (when I start, hard to stop) 😅😆 Your approach makes him feel really confident and at ease, I find it very respectful, it's a different point of view.

Loved the JC series & now love the Gabriel series. I think he's great. People don't have to like his personality & I think people are allowing that to overshadow what he's actually talking about. Transparency, honesty, inappropriate parasocial relationships, influencer lying, etc. This was a time frame for me that I had a toddler & my skin was raging from hormones & beauty RUclips taught me so much back then & I loved it. I grew up in the CoverGirl Clean Foundation & glitter blue eyeshadow era & I didn't know makeup. So when all this stuff happened, it really sucked. I love people click the video & then whine. Like bestie don't click it. 💀
I watch becuz... it's entertainment. And, I guess, gives me (Gen X Brit) intriguing insights into aspects of popular culture previously unfamiliar to me. Jen, the vast majority of people and brands that your content covers, I had never heard of, before encountering your channel (and the output of a couple of other beauty-space creators, eg Welsh Twins)! - which I think was less than a year ago, at this point (can't remember what first led me to you). Anyway - this stuff is like a soap, crossed with reality TV (neither of which genres I actually watch...). Low-stakes drama, entertaining stories. Vaguely bemusing insights into the human nature / human psychology playing out in this particular niche of the zeitgeist.
I only watched the first 2 James Charles videos and have no interest in the dramageddon stuff. I watched it unfold at the time and it just shows the love of money is the root to evil. That’s what influenced all the bad behaviour from all those influencers. I still like watching Tati because she is professional but the products she promotes are not for my skin colouring and I wish she would acknowledge that the products she’s promoting have a limited shade range. Would save on the disappointment when I go to purchase say a complexion product and they don’t deep skin shades.

Hi I’ve missed live for the last 3 weeks so always watching on replay. I just wanted to say HELLO 👋 and i’m still around. Just busy doing family stuff when live is on. I can’t make Dustin Dailey out. I first watched him and i thought he was fair enough with just enough mean girl to be entertaining and funny in his gossip. But he quickly started to show a real nasty side which i found truly distasteful. Rich Lux gave me bad vibes all the time and i wasn’t surprised when he became besties with Jeffrey. I’m old school and I just have found the high profile men in the beauty space have really ruined things. The only two I find normal and sweet are the Walsh Twins James & Robert. The rest… no thanks
