On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Thank you guys for watching and if you have any ideas for future videos please put them in the comment section below and they might just end up in the pipeline, thanks again, much Love.
Outstanding! Just like beggers canyon back home!
Man, that was a frick'n cool video dude. Awesome shots of the F-117's. They still look beautiful. Got to say man, those two kills you did at the end, QUICK QUICK QUICK. And the sound of that 20mm Gatling gun on the F16 is beautiful. I respect how you shout out to your dead opponents on their capabilities and what they could have done better. You're a good sport man. Please keep the great content coming as I know you will and keep kicking ass. I still want to see you do a video of you in the Chinese J10 and some videos with you in the f35. Can you do videos with you flying the B2? Or even better, B21 Raider? Or that bloody new psycho SR-72 Darkstar. These would all be sick videos man and I know you peeps would love em. Really would be great content. Cheers if you do man.
REGARDS FROM SERBIA 🎉🙋🏻♂️🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸💪
I didn't realize you could hang so much stuff off of an F-16. It's not a big plane.
Dude, if I was in that base I wouldn’t even be mad, that gun run was so sick
I just imagined you going "Well democracy it is then, how many Miles to the nearest embassy?
It was so fast at some parts
@@blkspade23:))))
Yeah, I thought about that line from Anchorman: "I'm not even mad, that's amazing."
You would be mad if he hit the DFAC and MWR lol
that was some top notch flight control at the end...
and F117 still looking badass in 2023
I live in the north of England and early one morning about four years ago I heard a jet so I looked up to see an F-117 and I have to say I fully agree with you about how badass they look. Knowing they are escorted I had a quick look round and sure enough there's the escort. An F-15. Now you have to admit that's a great way to start your day.
@@bigblue6917 Didn't know they still flew anywhere besides Tonopah. I would imagine that's a very rare sight in England.
@@NR-xj3nf US has been using them for testing lately. They're still very stealthy planes and many nations wouldn't hesitate to get their hands on them.
Yea cause I thought they were decommissioned back in 2008.
@@grimreaper7176 I think Sandbox did a video on it. They supposedly never really decommissioned them but they fly CIA type missions now instead of regular air force.
That was possibly the coolest mission i’ve ever seen. you are absolutely nuts
GS is a true alien! (Linguistic context: Simracing).
That strafe was very impressive
Got a 94 on my Diagnostics exam today, sat down to some good old McDonny's for dinner and I see GS uploads a new video featuring the B-117. I'd say life's pretty good.
Congratulations on such a good mark, that’s something to be proud of.
F-117
well actually i had 69 gorillion on my diagnostics exam and ronald himself came and gave me chickens and i saw gs upload this first
@@EDCandLace Technically, it's a B-117. The only reason it was called that was to get the funding through IIRC because we needed a new more advanced fighter jet.
@@EDCandLacethat's what it wanted to be called.
One could argue, that A-117 would have been more accurate even
That missile evasion was so close you could see it's shadow. 7:09 lol And that last gun run was dope. Well done sir.
im surprised it didnt prox fuse
I could imagine these shots in an action movie.
That gun run earned you a Distinguished Flying Cross sir. That was exceptional. Not one rolling, low level, gun run dodging AAA, but two within miles.
If I hadn't seen that gun run, there's no way in hell I woulda believed it. Impressive!
Okay, the recent F-22 vids made it look easy...this one made it look difficult, but in the best possible way.
This might be my favorite video to date, and I've been following you for a while now.
A little luck might have happened here...but there was more than enough talent and skill, too. Bravo!
lol I'd say " a lot of luck," but the impressive fact remains that luck won't get you in the air, only hopefully help get you home. Absurd flying...
Dude you're crazy! No one could have pulled that gun run so perfecly
That strafing run was nuts.
THAT was a friggin' strafing run... dayum!
Caveman sneaking up on his lunch with his pointy stick "Am I nothing to you?"
that gun run was absolutely stunning, fantastic flying!!
The F16 has never looked more SEXY than it did outrunning those tracers! Dayum! Good shooting boss!!
Being a former F-117A maintainer I appreciate seeing them still flying. We flew missions at night for the most part so I wish this couldve been done at night. We called ourselves Nighthawks and we truly did “ Own the Night” back then. Also these Iraqi pilots had way more balls then the ones in 91. Most wouldnt even take to the air, and many fled once airborne. They didnt wanna play. And they suffered the same fate hahah. So impressed to see where 5th gen stealth technology has advanced to these days.
Would the F-117 engage air-to-air or was it used strictly to run bombing missions?
@@thomasmelvin1333 negative it was strictly a bomber with no A2A capability. It was designated with an F designation because we were funding and devoloping an actual stealth bomber which became to B-2. It would’ve been impossible to get funding for both.
@@kinch613 whoa! Cool insights, always wondered why it was designated with an F, thanks!
I've heard that it was mostly designated "F" because it was hard to fly, and none of the "coolest" flyboys with the best scores wanted to fly a bomber.
So they went "Hey you wanna fly this new experimental F-117?" and they would be like "Heck yeah!" and wouldn't realize it's a bomber until it's too late. @@thomasmelvin1333
@@thomasmelvin1333politics 😊
One in a million? Dude, in all honesty, you did that gun run like it was another Tuesday 😂. Incredible flying.
But at least a Tuna Tuesday
That gun run was SOOOOO spicy 🌶️
My great grandfather contributed to the engineering and designing of the f117 after retiring from the navy never met him but he sounded like he lived a hell of a life
The gun run, in the end, is insane! You have mad flying skills. Iron-Eagle style!
Probably the target solution of the HARMs was off because you fired it at PGM4/5. I always offset 10-20° to the SAM for better triangulation with the HTS pod and wait until PGM2.
I thought the same. Each time he fired them I thought, I'd be surprised if he hits it.
That is some of the best F16 footage ever captured. It's better than anything in the Iron Eagle movies by miles even though it's just a simulater. Damn dude you can rightfully consider yourself a boss for doing that live. I want you to try and do it again and see how many times it takes when you're prompted. That's gotta be in your top 5 moments for the channel ever. Saying a LOT!
the nighthawk is so cool :)
Not as useful but still very very cool :)
Spinning, maneuvering and shooting on target is an awesome skill, GS. We are in awe... F-16, baby, that's how it's done ! Heilige Scheisse !
13:06 is the best part of the video ❤
Loving the shots where the camera follows the ordinance/missile!
That double inverted gun strafe with triple A whizzing by your head and ass was absolutely biblical.
Isn't it crazy they gave the 117 an F designation just so cool guy pilots would want to fly it?
It was moreso to mislead them into flying it, iirc
Your piloting skills are impeccable my friend. You’re so intelligent and you let the audience know everything you’re doing which makes it even more captivating
You gave the a10 guys a smile with that ending lol Never seen an f16 dance like that before
With the A10 spread you are never sure if the gun will actually hit anything with such a short burst.
Oh my gosh, bro that gun run in an F16 is a channel highlight for sure! That was incredible!
heck yeah, within 10mins of posting! (Thank you Alerts!)
lol at the people saying "first"....
anyways.... awesome video as always GS! These last several videos you have posted have been some great ones! I really dug that F-22 mini series, it was a lot of fun to watch them.
But as I also fly the F-16 this is my cherry topping for a video! I love flying this Jet..its everything I always wanted for DCS,and really does it all! Paired with the F-117 it makes one heck of a strike!
Keep up the awesome stuff as always GS! And thank you for your hardwork and dedication as always!!
The gun run was a solid 9.5 on the Sphincter Scale
F-117s only flew at night, just saying. Great video as always, and the gun run was brutal. Also, the F117s flew over Baghdad unescorted and with no SEAD support. The pilots trusted the stealth but worried about a lucky golden BB.
Pretty sure he is aware, but had to make the concession of doing it in the day for youtube visibility reasons.
Impressive maneuver towards the end. Nice work!!
Top 3 favorite planes are the A-10, F-22, and F-117, they are just so badass
What's your thoughts on the F-111.
I like the F16-F22-F35
@@Saffi____ love the swept wing but just not a fan of the overall design language used in its construction, but still definitely a sick and capable aircraft
@@Aviation0098 see F-35 is dope but I feel like theres beef between F-22 and F-35 of which is better (F-22 clearly) and as you can tell im team F-22 so I cant fw the F-35 like that
Look: Sukhoi
POWER: F-22
I thought when approaching your target at low altitude you would fire your HARM when you were within designated firing range before being tracked so the missile had a chance to climb to altitude. At that point you would climb until the the enemy's radar stared a track and once being tracked, the HARM would locate the early warning station/sam site and destroy it.
The production quality of those replays/highlihgts were top notch. It's like I was watching a hollywood movie!
That gun-run was a gigachad move. But I don't think your command would praise you for that... 😂😂
Those strafing runs were incredible!
Those strafes were incredible. Great video again!
Yep. You were right. That was the sickest gun run I’ve ever seen you pull off. Probably one of the sickest I’ve seen in DCS in general.
The absolute tactical understanding that GS has cannot be overstated. I don’t play DCS, but his content is as entertaining as the Top Gun movies and far more informative on strategy, tactics, and the sheer pucker factor of flying military missions.
Thanks for the repost, an extremely close AA-8 Aphid dodge plus SA-3/6 dodges followed up by some near AAA haircuts. Excellent run!
F-117's look amazing! Also, these missile evasions and the gun run... Epic!
That was such a cowboy move at the end, it'd be a 50/50 chance the wing commander either permanently grounds you or sticks a giant medal on your chest.
At this point bro is Maverick. Lmao those strafes were something else. Well done
This was absolutely incredible. Your flying was very impressive.
“Fortune favors the brave.”
I wonder if any modern air missions have come close to this type of craziness.
I seen gun run and I was like oh yeah, gotta watch this
14:49 absolutely clowned on frankly
The reason the HARMs were not effective was the low position confidence on the missile. but what a fantastic ground strafe!
12:41 Talk About Intense!!!! That’s was freakin awesome!
Those nighthawks in formation….badass
Love the "Iron Eagle" vibes on this one!!. Only thing missing is the 80s tunes blasting from your thigh strapped tape deck!
Man, that strafing run was awesome.
"Hail Yeah" was the first thought that came to mind when I saw the video description.
Man, the straffing at the end really awesome.
It just my brain cannot process fast enough to understand it when you shoot and evade.
I have to replay it over again...
You rocks man 👍
I can't believe there is people out there that don't know you and can't see this incredible pieces of video 👏
Forget that... That *was insane flying!!*
Wow.
Well done. Absolutely top notch.
You make your own luck. And my god. Was that some stupendous luck.
Oh my God my man I stood up after your roll in and had my seat cushion still stuck in my crack. Talk about pucker factor.
14:36 This view from the ground for some reason reminded me of WWII dogfighting footage
insane trench run there
Hot damn, that sweep of the skies and the a2g after, then the aftermath with the F117s and the awesome soundtrack, nobody makes vids like GS 🔥
7:09 that was so close! Awesome work!
Going into the heart of the fight! Dude is the Rambo of the sky! 12:55 I've watched this part 5 times already! That was exciting!
14:36 Like a G! 💯
2 airframes, the F-16 and the F-117, who have not had much luck in that part of the world. (Bosnia/Adriatic Sea)
In 1995, Scott O’Grady‘s F-16 was shot down by an SA-6 missile.
I was onboard the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) in the Adriatic Sea at that time.
The Marines who rescued O’Grady, were attached to LHD-3.
Now THAT is what you call ground strike!
F-16 doing a A-10 style final attack. well done!
You did the A-10 proud with that gun run
Probably one of my favor missions you have done yet. Action packed with a lot of complexity.
That inverted gun run was insane!😮
The GS Chronicles continue. Absolutely bananas. Nicely done!
That gun strafe was bonkers and really impressive. I've been really enjoying the f22 videos, but this was something else. This video was a real butt clencher for sure. Awesome job GS. 👍🤯
Bro that dodge. Causally acknowledged how close it was not knowing it missed be a couple feet
Gun run was mad!
That was probably the most entertaining video I've seen from you so far. That was insane! That gun run was absolutely wild!
Dude, that was some straight up Iron Eagle stuff you just pulled.
That was some seriously impressive and lucky flying!
That’s one of the craziest things I’ve seen. Epic.
14:22 - Great shot, kid! That was one in a million!
Pure luck there! I was screaming defend! Can't believe he missed that one, he had you. Totally.
Yeah lining up and gunning those two SA’s was nuts!
That gun run sent chills. Holy hell
THE ENDING WAS FIRE...GOTTA MAKE US A MINI MOVIE
"Nice shot kid that was one in a million!"
i've never seen you die on a mission before although you always end up shooting down hundreds of advanced enemy jets each time 💀 you're literally the main character
Damn! that flying tho
That gun run was awesome, but I'm still glowing over that Fox-3 dodge. One of my fav so far, because it was very much because of skill and experience. Less of either and you'd have been shot down.
"The Squadron CO would like to discuss your flight profile."
Beast mode, man. Love it.
Jesus man, straight up flying BALLS OUT! GGs!!😂
I think the clips from the target looking at your manouvering to strike were really good. From the cockpit view I was sure you were going to pile in!
You actually demonstrate why the F 16 is also called the ballerina of the skies, you make that chick dance so cool that she was the queen of that prom...........! Nice job........!
You absolutely worked those nerds holy hell. Great replays too
Now that is some serious Piloting Skills my friend!!!!
the gun run at the end was simply phenomenal ))
This episode reminded me of Iron Eagle.....nice going Doug Masters 👍
that was some straight up Iron Eagle stuff there!
Reason why the 117 was shot down was because the Serbs studied the flight path of the 117 whenever they were sent to bomb targets.
The serbs would write down all the detections every time a 117 opened the ordinance bays and be able to predict future bombings which they decided to hide a SAM on a nearby location where the 117 would predictably fly so when the bays were open, the SAM would fire
It was this same complacent thinking that got B-52s in trouble over Vietnam. Flying the same predicted flight plans.
Excellent Video! 👏
That SA3 and SA6 got absolutely styled-on. Bravo!
