Ooooh close, but no cigar. I love the 70's retro vibe. Even though I'm not a quartz fan I was ready to get my money out until... No AR is a must these days (at least for me) and the clasp with no micro adjust is inexcusable. How much would 4 holes cost Hroudland? I mean, come on! If a V2 comes out with the improvements, count me in. I'd love to have a watch with this cool styling on my wrist! Great review. Subbed! 👌
That's a nice and interesting looking watch! Many deal breakers with this one, the clasp, the crystal, the price... Well i guess i'll wait for PD to copy this and offer one at 90$ .
Very cool watch Steve. Like the overall design. I went from having no chronographs in 2022 to three of them in 2023. The only issue for me is that I prefer bigger dials for a chronograph. 38mm is a little bit small for reading the dials. My own chronos are 42, 43 and 44.5mm. I would love this in a bigger size to suit my 8.1" wrist. A few minutes of 600 grade emery paper will smooth out the sharp edges on the case, just be careful to mask the sides. The only other thing is if they're going to do an integrated bracelet, they need to do it right.
Cool modification on the leather rally strap, Steve! I love the look of this watch along with the dimensions. I think I'll order the blue dial. Great review, thank you!
So good to say Good riddance to the idiot dial (Is it day time? Are we in outer space?) & FINALLY replaced it with a very useful 12 hour totalizer. Fine review Steve. Thanks
Great call, Jazzman! I posted that they made a huge mistake by no going with the Seiko SII caliber VK-67 movement, which features a 12 hour totaliser and a non-jumping main chrono hand.
Great review. I'm very grateful that you showed the total width including the bracelet. I had contemplated getting this stunner of a watch, but it clearly wouldn't fit on my tiny 6.5" wrist.
It's a very cool and unique watch. I liked it in photo, I like it even more in video 😊 But it's a shame about the clasp Thanks for the great review, Steve.
I'm a fan of the vintage Speedmaster this watch homages, which makes this one very appealing. I can live with the AR-coating and seconds-hand shortcomings you mention. Having a small wrist, though, the limited compliance of the - admittedly handsome - bracelet and the lack of micro adjustments on the clasp are what lead me to hesitate. I hope Hruodland will do a V.2 that addresses these issues. Thanks for your detailed review.
Thanks for this review, Steve, nice and seamless like always! Very nice watch, I hope this retro wave will never stop 😀. I think with a little color tip it can compete with watches from Straton. See you in your next 👍👍👍
Great review of an interesting watch. I like the style, but the clasp isn't great. Thanks for pointing out the slop in the chronograph hand, that would be a deal breaker for me.
A superlative review. I love the watch and bracelet. They made a huge mistake by not going with the Seiko SII caliber VK-67 movement which features a 12 hour totaliser and the non-jumping main chrono hand.
@@EscapeWheel Agree. Plus I pretty much know the day of the week without having to look at my watch. The Seiko VK-67 with its 12 hour totaliser and bright white hands would completely transform this watch into the look and functionality of a $3,000+ timepiece.
This watch looks super good! the dimensions are perfect! but they ofcourse managed to ruin it by having male end links, the effective L2L is over 60 MM!!!!
This isn’t unique its a speedmaster tv clone. Yes the design is incredibly cool and in this condition the real thing would be worth as much as small car.
I always loved the look of the omega this is a homage of... But jesus is this thing small. I mean it looks teeny tiny on your wrist, almost approaching the size of a woman's watch. I wish they'd make a large version, but I know that'll never happen. Too bad 😔
That's great. Seems strange that the Chinese seem more interested in vintage Swiss classics than the Swiss do. I'm glad someone does.
love it, great to see more of these square shape watches making a return
Ooooh close, but no cigar.

Thank you, sir. Definitely some shortcomings. I'll be looking for a V2 as well.

A nice homage to the Omega Speedmaster 1045 TV dial
Starsky and hutch themed intro,? This watch looks phenomenal happy to see new case shapes and designs
Haha, for sure. Love me some 70's disco. Do love these more interesting case shapes. Brings something new to the (review) table.

Thanks, Stephen. The right strap would look really good on this thing IMO
Your review got me to buy this watch because of the leather strap show. Will probably buy a strap and mod it. So 22 instead of a 20?
This is a lovely looking omega homage, in my opinion. The original has the airplane second hand. I've no chronos so I'll have to get this.
Love the retro vibe. Waiting for a review of the similarly styled and cheaper Tactical Frog to see how they compare.
So good to say Good riddance to the idiot dial (Is it day time? Are we in outer space?) & FINALLY replaced it with a very useful 12 hour totalizer. Fine review Steve. Thanks

They could add some color to the seconds hand to make it easier to read. Just something to contrast all the white hands.
I initially didn't like it, but the more I see it the more it grows on me

Glad it was helpful. I don't see it happening, but I hope to see a V2 as well.
Very nice review, really nice looking watch, too bad this bracelet don´t seem to fits my thin wrist, because of the flexibility.
Price is kinda steep for a non-mecha quartz. Great job on that fun intro!
I was hoping it was a mecha quartz too. But still a fantastic watch. Classic styling

Another fantastic review. A great watch, possibly better than the original; The 5100 movement had it's limitations !
Great review of an interesting watch. I like the style, but the clasp isn't great. Thanks for pointing out the slop in the chronograph hand, that would be a deal breaker for me.

Completely agree...though they would have lost the day wheel....I would have taken that trade-off, though

Me watching that second hand sweep back: 👀. Me watching the slop in the second hand seconds later: 🙄
Great review, I just bought one in black.
Maaan if they make a version with a Seagull mechanical movement, I wouldn't hesitate to buy
Very nice. Good review. Omologato makes a pretty similar watch too
12:00 actually seiko vk67 movement has the same 12hr chrono functions as the same with that
Probably one of the coolest, unique designs. How would I find a replacement strap for it in the future if needed ?
A leather strap would just need some notches cut into a 22mm strap to fit the 14mm lugs.
I love this. Wish it wasn't an integrated bracelet tho. Nice one. ❤ ⌚️
I'm fine with it being integrated, but they should have just gone with 20mm lug opening.
That's 100% my dad's style lol
It's too pricey and I already gave him a nice seiko, but this would be awesome as a gift
Thank you for this detailed review.
Thank you sir. Great review.
Me gusta mucho pero comparado a otras marcas Chinas esta muy caro, comparado con los Pagani Desing, espero otras marcas lo saquen
I’m liking this.. many thanks for the upload.
This watch looks super good! the dimensions are perfect! but they ofcourse managed to ruin it by having male end links, the effective L2L is over 60 MM!!!!
I like this watch. Is there a vk movement with the same complications?
No. Similar layout but different counters and no day indicator
Can you tell me what size of strap should I buy? Bracelete is a little bit too big for me so I want to change it like your racing strap
The pin area is 14mm. Bracelet width is 22mm.
So for best fit you need to go off those dimension. You'll probably have to cut the strap yourself
So you mean I have to buy 22mm strap and cut it end link of it to 14mm by myself?
@@Orientgalaxy correct. You may get lucky finding one, but I doubt it
How do you modify the strap like that?
Just cut it with a sharp knife
Looks to me at around 13:50 that the tube comes out with the crown. Not too happy about that.
Just checked the watch and I'm not sure what you were seeing...maybe the bottom of the crown? Either way, the tube is still in tact in the case 👍
Roland ?

Homage to Omega speed master tv dial
Noooooo
I really liked it until you mentioned hair puller, no micro adjust and divers clasp. Wtf
Pulled my arm hair once, but it's been fine since. 🤷
Definitely the wrong clasp for this watch though
@@EscapeWheel yeh. No micro adjust is just stupid 😞
The Caliber is bad

to be honest im sure you have far better watches to wear .
But none looks this funky!
@@EscapeWheel funky as in a bad smell or the music ?
@@timeintheuk funky as in the style.
Hates from wife just make this watch even better, exactlly!!
Very nice Omega Mark 4 rip off :DDDD Why didn´t they name this watch "Hodor"?:DDDDDD
