Season 2 is kicking off BIG with my first guest interview. I got to sit down with the beautiful and amazing actress, Tina Lifford.
Hollywood veteran and award-winning actress Tina Lifford currently plays the vivacious breakout character Aunt Vi on the critically acclaimed television drama, Queen Sugar. She has played over 100 characters in her long-standing career, including the CIA Director on Scandal and the mother-in-law on Parenthood.
Equally accomplished behind the camera, Tina is the respected playwright of THE CIRCLE, a play about seven diverse women navigating the choppy waters of life together; author of The Little Book of BIG LIES, re-released by HarperCollins in November 2019; and CEO of The Inner Fitness Project, an initiative committed to making the practices and benefits of “Inner Fitness” as familiar, well understood and actionable as those of physical fitness.

Pain can hurt. Pain can be uncomfortable. But, as Tina said, you have to accept the pain and live in it to push through it. How do you pull yourself through the pain?
It is sooo refreshing to watch and listen to interview that is authentic, focussed on soul purpose and uplifting emotionally and spiritually. The wisdom and tools shared by @tinalifford truly resonates to African spirituality of Ubuntu; which for me is the freedom to be humane, to celebrate and cherish vulnerability, to be connected to your soul purpose and share your soul authentically/openly with others. This is what I needed to hear! I have always felt I wasn't "good enough" to have the relationships I want to have in my life. I would think I'm in the way or that " good thing was not for ME. I would settle for this or settle for that. I would pit others first A LOT! I would not associate with some people because it was "uncomfortable ". Their SUCCESS made me feel intimated. I would feel like they didn't want me around 'cause I wasn't as successful as them. 😢

Tina shared "a word in due season"! Thank you, Koya! I've deal with the watery eyes too caused by blockage with the tear duct. Had a doctor recommend dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). I opt for conservative measures like neti pot cleaning, warm compresses and milking the tear duct.
