First and foremost, the two Optimus Prime paintings 2:00 in!! I have Transformers stuff all over my studio so of course that excited me lol!! Dream room, the space itself has to be inspiring, tack on a Neve Genesys Black console and possibly an Atmos setup. I don’t need much tbh. Now to finish watching the video 😀
I bought the Pmc Pro 6.2 this year. 😎😋❤️🥰🔥 a little beast! 😂 Listened to it in December last year. Incredible wow effect, what this studio monitor can do is really brutal! 👊🙃 I'll never give the part again sooner. That's my dream, that's what a studio monitor has to sound like for my small home studio. 😊 It's just 10 times more fun to produce if you hear it where you should hear it.
As soon as you entered the first studio (A I think) the sound quality was very noticeable. I don’t recall ever noticing that before in a video. Impressive place!
Waoh, what an amazing looking place. Jaw dropping with inspiration. Great video and well done Eric with the video editing. Eric that was awesome work. Warren the gentleman as always, cheers
That's a hell of a setup. Maurice was at PMC London a couple of years ago giving a demonstration to us with a similar setup (including the MB3 mains). To this day, it's the best monitoring setup I have ever heard.
Fantastic video, Great to see Eric getting more Creative with his filming. Great sounding (dead) Rooms would love to work in there. Warren could you please explain how a 'Duar Operator' system works as surely you are mixing with 2no sets of ears that hear differently, would love to understand that concept. All the best Trev.
In post production many things are happening, Its not just one person mixing things, There is still the main mixing engineerm which is called "Re-recording engineer. Its a bit complicated. but imagine you are working with different mixes, 1 dialouge, 2 sfx,3 foley, 4, ambience and background and other things, then score, Imagine, though each are already premixed and has stems, each of those could run to a high count of tracks, like a lot like zimmer would use more than 2000, tracks, but let's just say each could have 500 tracks. Managing that many track count, and pulling them up in case there is a need to change something from let's say, the foley mixdown, though there is a stem sometimes you still have to pull out a certain track. In general one engineer controlling the console won't be enough as come mixdown during mixing session with the director (though each department already has a premix also) you dont want wasted time, its like "Hey i can you lower that cloth sound or chair, down" you want to get there right away, this is while the focus of a session at that point is the dialogue and getting that final mix right. Many things can come up and you'd want everything to be tweaked right away with no delays. Post prod is really a different beast from music, there, it's kind more of "departments" working on different things then everything comes to that "dubbing session" which is the mixing down of all those elements from different departments, and they are mixing either a 45min to 90 mins content. All this while the producer and director are watching the film.
@@Producelikeapro Thanks your channel helped me understand music mixing more, I studied film in my country, and outside of occasional directing the career that I was thrown at more is film score and sound post-production. But music is my 1st love. Your channel is one of the few ones that made me understand the different mindset and workflow to be able to do music/song mixing too, since maybe your very 1st video of vocal mixing, around 6 or 7 years ago. hehehe got you waves MV trick. Kinda actually using them for dialogue bus too in post prod!
Hey Warren, thanks for the vid. Any chance for a monitor shootout in your room after sonarworks correction? I am interested in how cheap monitors stand up against expensive monitors once providing a flat response. Be interesting how Kali or KRK stand up.
I could drop a window pane and spend all day there.. absolutely gorgeous and spot on engineering. pleasant environment. id love to get a pair of ears in that ATMOS studio.. washooooo!!
Warren, can I have a quick studio Q? Do You know, would recommend any type of isolated/vocal booth were I could record a vocals or guitar amp and the booth would be great enough to NOT CHANGE THE SOUND? It's for a home studio, but professional enough to have a clean sound. Any ideas?
@@Producelikeapro lol.. You are correct.. I meant dobly actually.. Anyway, Great video as alway. Love the PMCs. Ive used them in Abbey Road. Gorgeous..
Damn. This room is a mess. It seems so untidy and the speakers look very average. The room seems small and the work station looks like it could be in the way of the front channels
What is your dream Speaker setup for your own studio? Please share below!

That’s awesome to hear
Surely thats a nightmare having speakers hidden in the ceiling and trying not to have them rattle or create added noise?
Haha I'm pretty sure it's very well designed and built and there's no issues! In fact I've heard it and it's amazing!

Only question that came up inside my head is "Why they don't have any analog processors"? ? holly molly! they use plugins !
haha!
Man, if I could work in a place like that...

Can you do Band on the Run on your music that changed the world please
That’s a marvellous idea indeed
Yeah looks very nice but do they record in dolby? And is there free teas & coffee?
This is a Dolby/Immersive Mixing room. There might be free tea and coffee for all.

Am I wrong or rear speakers on Studio One should be exactly where doors are ? If so, then it is not proper Atmos setup…
Interesting. :)
