Didn't Cazador technically break Vellioth's Second Lesson too by turning his niece? The woman mentioned in the attic.

Hmm, the Amanita Szarr notes state that the entire family were vampires and Astarion says he was "kept by the Szarr family" in Act 1. So, I think that it could be the case that Cazador shared power with his entire family if he is the one who was turned first? In Act 1, Astarion also mentions he couldn't resist their command [seemingly referring to all of them], which doesn't make a ton of sense based on what I know from lore. [Another true vampire shouldn't be able to compel someone else's spawn] but I guess this could technically work that way if they were all sharing power/from the same bloodline? I'm just not sure based on the current in-game information.

@@RPG_NoMeDiga Well when I was reading her notes in the attic she mentions (in diary/letter form) that she was unaware that Cazador was a vampire until she was taken to live with him. I spent a bit of time up there because I was interested in trying to 'find' her. However from my search it seems that she was cut content because there is a coffin like Cazadors in the attic, its just not interactable. So I'm actually pretty sure she wasn't a vampire until Cazador turned her, but its unclear as to why. I might be wrong, I'm not trying to correct you on the lore, I just thought it was worth mentioning as a potential inconsistency.

Yeah she states 'Uncle' Cazador made me a vampire. But why specifically her? Did she want to keep her as a potential companion/ mate but she took issue with the 'family rites'. Whatever that means.

@@NightQueen01 No worries at all, I love discussions, and I'm more interested in finding out what's going on than being right, tbh!
Ahh, I see what you mean, I wasn't very clear in my original reply. I meant the other mentioned Szarr relatives seem to be vampires [Granddam Fistula, Great-Aunt Dralia, and Cousin Blovart] - Amanita says her "entire family were vampires, going back generations". So, if they are all vampires, it would explain why she was raised by old family servants, too. In that case though, how does she exist as a mortal at all? 😅 I agree, it was likely cut content, I would love to know more about it though!

@@NightQueen01 good questions! I don't know what the "family rites" entail specifically, but I assume it's some sort of ritual, like the "Rite of Profane Ascension" or the "Rite of Perfect Slaughter" just based on the similar names.
