  • You should have observed that everyone in ICU is anemic. There is always some drop in hemoglobin levels and you have to make a decision whether this is a 'real' bleed or simply hemodilution. Most of the times we guess this but there is a more accurate way of knowing this. Understanding these principles will help you understand how to identify and correct for other labs that may be diluted.
