  • It’s Mental Health Awareness week and seeing as it’s a subject important to me, I wanted to do something on the channel that I hope will be beneficial to at least one person.
So we all know that the hobby is a great way to escape the stress of everyday life - coming home form work or college and getting behind the hobby desk, or doing something hobby related like reading a book, or listening to audiobook is a great way to unwind and lose yourself.
But what if the hobby is the cause of the stress? What then?
Well one of the ways I’ve found that helps me is by walking. Just getting outside in the fresh air, away from everything, and walking. I’ve found that it’s really helped me relax and reset, and it got me thinking we could try and get #walkhammer trending!
If you go to the gym or walk the dog, tag it with Walkhammer. Let’s be good to ourselves and get more of us out in the fresh air, even if it’s only for ten minutes. It doesn’t have to be the countryside, just stretch your legs and have a few minutes away from the desk.
Please let me know your thoughts in the comments - what do you do to unwind and relax, other than actual hobbying?
If you enjoyed this video please let me know by giving it a thumbs up, and if you want to show your support, please consider subscribing to the channel too.
Also, if you haven’t yet seen it, the latest episode of The Morehammer Podcast is out now, and you can find it at the below link:

Working out and being outside has been a huge help for my hobby time. It's energizing and reinvigorates any mental blocks I run into.

I tend to try and always multitask so going for a walk always felt like a waste of time until I started listening to audiobooks. Currently working through the Blood Angels books (just finished Devastation of Baal) while walking around my neighbourhood, good exercise plus I lose myself in the books so don’t even notice the time has passed lol
