hello from Turkey. I have a 2016 discovery sport 2.0 td4 180 luxury vehicle. In the summer months, when I open the doors in the morning, I hear the fan noise inside. is this normal? The fan sound comes from the front panel where the radio and air conditioner are located. My second question is that sometimes there is a mechanical sound when shifting gears. Should I be worried? There is rarely a tremor. Also very interesting, the engine of this car warms up after 15 minutes.
Not sure about the fan noise. With shifting gears there should be a slight noise, but it should not be too loud. I suspect your best to get a Land Rover technician to test drive the vehicle with you so you can show them the issues.
Example: i am from England. I tried to order a bottle of water in New York. After three attempts and then help from a translator, the shopkeep exclaimed ‘ahhh you mean ‘waaarder’ 😀’

I know the manual states its a dealer enable function only and they would have to do it. I've tried all kinds. Since i pulled them in via a double button press in a car park they have continued to move in after its locked.

Also, how can you engage the adaptive cruise control system, step by step. Thank for the vid by the way, i learnt a few cool things about the car and this made me realise that my decision on a mistake to get the old one was not that bad. Personally, I think the infortainment system sucks like on the maps you can’t pinch out to soon out with 2 fingers and it’s laggy as hell! Oh yeah, and is there any auto parking as my previous mercedes c class had it and i loved it
@@khalilchan2485 park assist is a stand alone option and not a lot of Disco Sports are equipped with it. Seat memory only on HSE and above models (Canada) and the two parallel lines might be the lane keep assist.
@@dan_stuarthi, thank you for clarifying, that genuinely helped, i would just to know a few more things like the navigation system on the in control touch system doesn’t suck but every time the women speaks like i hear my music fade out and there is a few second delay before she actually talks almost like a voice recording but where the first hits arent cut out and this leaves me in the motorway (i’m in the uk) without taking the exit becuase she speaks after i’ve gone past the exit. Would I be able to change in the settings a delay so she plays her audio like 5 seconds before the “actual event” is happening. Also, only yesterday, the 12v socket in the rear seats fell out. Nothing was inside of it and it had never been used but the whole panel came off like exposing all the wires and do you know if the land rover guys in the uk can fix this. While i’m at the land rover dealership, i would also try and get my navi system working so do you know if the update the maps or can change the incontrol touch system to incontrol touch pro system as i do know you could’ve got the disco sport in that configuration in the Uk. Is it possible to disable the auto-alarm that turns on when I leave the car unlocked for about 30-60sec. and when I want to open the door to take anything from the car it starts screaming. So I must have the key always close to me :D thank you for your answer!
Please how do i find out when my last service was done. So on my vehicle info, next service, oil service it is 18800 milsage. Does that mean the last time it was done on 18800 or 18800 more miles to go until next service.
@@unitedwestand201 what model year is your Discovery Sport? In 2020 they changed the intervals to every 2 years or 34,000km. Prior to that, it was once a year or every 16,000km. If in doubt, check the owners manual as it is outlined in there.

Yes there is. If the vehicle is outside of new car warranty, then you’ll need to contact a Land Rover dealer and it is about $160 CAD to connect it for the year. First of all, very informative vedio. The front and back parking sensors gets switched off sometimes by default in my car, would you know a way by which i can keep that on all the time?
Parking sensors will only automatically activate when the car is put into reverse. If you go from reverse to drive, they stay on for about 10 seconds after then switch off automatically. If you want to manually turn it on then press the button labeled P with the lines beside it and a small orange light will appear indicating it’s on. I hope this helps. Please like and subscribe :)

But I noticed that the board shows me the heating system its in the middle after 10 minutes drive and this makes me worried.. I DON'T HAVE ANY WARNINGS ON THE BOARD , BUT THIS SITUATION SOMEHOW SCARES ME. Is this normal or I have to go to a mechanic?

i think they fold only if you have the memory seats (not the basic nor the upgraded electric seats, they have to be the second upgrade level) as a rule of thumb if you don't see in the driver side any memory adjustment (the "M,1,2,3"keyboard) then they won't automatically adjust
On the left side of the steering wheel you press the menu button and on the screen you will scroll over to Driver Assistance settings, there is a sub menu in there where you can activate TSR which is Traffic Sign Recognition

It might have adaptive cruise on the steering wheel but otherwise would be the same.

It’s always been my understanding that this is a dealer enabled or disabled feature, unfortunately

Press the button at the end of the turn signal, and it will cycle through all the different available options.
So the sunroof you can’t open the glass risght it’s just to look up at the sky is it please reply to my comment I am planning on buying it that why
Yes that’s correct. It will not open on any Discovery Sport.

Yes the right side of the touch screen has a P button with 3 lines on it. Press that and the sensors will activate.

The one on the left is for non-emergency (flat tire, run out of gas) and the red is for emergency services if you get into an accident.

How to engage 4X4???
This vehicle is AWD so that means it has 4 wheels constantly sending power to the wheels that have traction! No need to engage 4WD

Great question. A LR technician might be able to do this, one that is very knowledgeable, however, I have never seen it done.

You will need to take the key shank out of the key fob and unlock the glove box manually.

As long as it stays in the middle, you’re fine. If it goes above towards hot, then you’ve got a problem

When you’re in navigation, tap the little gear set (settings) and go under navigation settings. You’ll see the option there for navigation volume.

Are there any steering modes like comfort/sport? Can we make the steering less stiff?
Using the terrain response will help with different road surfaces but on the Discovery Sport, it won’t change the steering stiffness unfortunately

Yes the mirror dipping is in the settings button on the left side of the steering whee under Vehicle settings.

No, but if equipped, you can remote start your vehicle from from smartphone
HOW DO I SET THE CLOCK?
Tap the little gear set on the bottom corner of the screen, tap general, then time and date, and you can adjust right there.
