    how do you get the points tho? Cause you just make a random parabola size, but at a certain point. You don't actually show how to get the points.

      why would he die for anyone's mistakes? It doesn't make sense, it sounds so wrong and unfair, and if he was god then why didn't he just forgive us for our sins and not die, it just doesn't make sense.

    • @cudroid
      @cudroid 11 дней назад

      @@OmarAhmed-fb5rnIt's hard for some of us to understand because He loves us that much. His love for us is so much that He was willing to go further for us. You're right, Jesus could have done that and not died for us, but Jesus did so because he loves us even more.

    What if there is a number in front of the X? Like y=4(x+3) -1 ?

    • @user-yb9fb3mf1w
      @user-yb9fb3mf1w 4 года назад +9

      The 4 in front of the (X+3)² is kinda like the slope of the function. A number greater than 1 will make it go up faster and the graph will reach higher y-values sooner. Closer to 0, you get the opposite effect and the y-values change slower, it'll have the same range of values but the graph will look very stretched out (like it's barely changing). For negative numbers, it'll scale it just like positive numbers do, but it'll also change the direction of the parabola opening.

    How are you choosing the vertex ie. v(3,2) , v (-2,-4) 3:06 - I mean is there a method ?

    • @RainbowSixIntel
      @RainbowSixIntel Год назад +1

      its in the function, so if the function is y = (x+2)^2 - 4, then the x would be -2 (because that is the h value) and the y would be -4 since that is the k value.

      Depends on the problem your working with, if your asking how he came out with it then its simple as a negative times a positive is a negative

      Since the x-axis is like a number line, with negatives on the left and positives on the right, adding to the number of x-values by one would shift the graph to the left by one. Same goes for removing 1 from x, this would shift the graph to the right because imagine the domain was [4,∞). Shifting the first point by one to the right would reduce the amount of x-values by one. I'm not a teacher so my explanation may not be the best, but I hope it helped since this is what I think about when remembering this rule.
