Harley Davidson key fob security code reset and starting engine with no key

- Instructional video on how to start your Harley Davidson without your key fob. Specifically in this video I'll be demonstrating on a 2020 Softail Street Bob (FXBB) with the Milwaukee 8. The instruction should work for most HD models.
I also go over how to reset your security code, the factory delivers bikes with a code of 11111. Contrary to what a lot of people think, you don't have to go to the dealership to get this reset.

My man I’ve been struggling for 2 days trying to get my late father’s bikes running. The batteries died, I think I only brought fobs for 1 of them instead of both. I was at my wits end when I saw that 11111 go in and said screw it. Like a goddamn charm both bikes are running now and I can take ‘em for cleanup and service. Thank you!

Thanks for explaining these procedures. Timing is critical to successfully enter the pin reset mode. With a key fob present you must turn the ignition on and as soon as you hear the fuel pump stop running rapidly rock the switch off and on twice, immediately hit the left turn button twice and it will work. It took me awhile to figure out that I was doing it too slow.
I'm sorry about that, usually if you take it into Harley they will help you out with it for free since it's just a usage thing. Sorry I couldn't help

So if I reset my PIN, will the FOB work or does it need to be synched all over? Neither of my two fobs is working after sitting for the winter. I had to start my HD with the pin, which I have never done in 4 years, so I had to reset the PIN. So the new PIN works to start the bike with the PIN, but still, neither FOB is working. Do they need new batteries, or do they need to be synced?
Almost positive you need new batteries. Resetting the pin will not mess with your fob.

Hi, I purchased an sportster 2007 i. Auction. The bike came with key but not fob or pin. Is there any way to neutralizer totaly the security and start up the bike? Thanks in advance.
Not that I know of. You'll have to go to the dealership with your bill of sale and/or title for them to reset it. The key should just be for the stem lock. Good luck!
The question is if I buy the harley at the auction with the fob but it's got pin on it how I can turn on the bike without knowing the pin code?? Please help

That's difficult, I think what you have to do is bring it into a dealer. Try the factory default code, but if it was changed and the code is unknown, I think Harley will have to flash the CPU

Son of a bitch it worked. Previous owner never changed it from 11111. To think ive been riding around with all 1s. Someone could've stolen my shit this whole time hahaha. Thank you for showing me how to change it 🫡🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

You should just be able to start it up no worries. This is when you don't have the fob, you can start it up with your code if the fob dies or you lose it
Ok and they code is for they key but the dealership ship guy said the pin was either 0000 or 1111 so I will try appreciate the reply
I was told the pin was in the manual but I’m looked through it Can come across it and I was worried what if the alarm went off how I would shut it off I just got all these questions I’m new into it
@@bryancardenas-qs4ig all good! It should be fine. The pin is for emergencies so you alarm should be fine and not have an alarm. Just dont share your pin

I don't think mine has a chirp sound. I'll look into it though. I'll check the manual for you
The 11111 didn’t work, guess I’ll have to find the manual next.
You can always swing by the dealership too, they should be able to tell you or change it. And I'd be surprised if they charge you
This must not be universal because this will not work on my 2023 Low Rider S
I think the low rider s is special, a lot of the parts and things are different. Wish I had a low rider s, they're sweet bikes. Sorry the video didn't help! This process is just out of my manual on the FXBB

Thanks for the support man, but when I made the video I was doing alot more than the pin... I didn't specifically wear them for the pin if that's what your asking?
