I'm glad you went back to see Frankie Valli again. He is a living legend. The Four Seasons are my all-time favorite American group (The Beach Boys are close second). They were the definitive music artists from New Jersey (my home state) in the 1960's. They were the bridge in between Frank Sinatra (1940's and 1950's) to Bruce Springsteen (1970's). The Four Seasons had major hits and success in both the Doo-Wop Era and the Disco Era. (From Sherry in 1962 to Grease in 1978). As far as the subject of Lip-Synching is concerned, I think it's probably 50/50. I think he does sing in a lower register but probably gets some help when he tries to go to his signature falsetto. However, it is completely irrelevant to me. He's still out there sharing this timeless, wonderful music with his fans. Everyone at his shows are giving him standing ovations, singing along to these classics and having a great time. To me, that's all that matters. Barry Manilow is also one of my very favorites. The Westgate is lucky to have both of them.

Saw him last Thursday and so incredible experience. Last of the great icon singers! Fully agree with you and everybody around me loved it! It is an honour!

I've Got You Under My Skin was a hit for the 4 Seasons; Our Day Will Come was solo Frankie, 1975.

I saw him a few several years ago when he was performing. However, this is sad. Sorry. No facial expressions, no singing. just a recording of his voice. His eyes stare. Kind of hard to watch.

Probably lip sync but if you don't expect that nowadays you're not bright.
You go for the vibe these legends bring both from themselves and the crowd- including you- that they draw.
Lol I i finished typing just as you said "I drink a lot..."

I saw Bobby Vinton 20 years ago and he was so good, his performance of Mr. Lonely was arresting. Nothing, as far as the Legends go, rose to that level until I saw Frankie Valli just over a year ago. It was wild that a man at 90 years was still able to pull off that signature vocal tone that he was known for 60 years ago. These guys are from a bygone era, they don’t come like these Men anymore, and today’s music is… well, it’s not what it was. But Frankie’s voice was instrument until itself, unlike anyone else. Kind of like John Fogerty’s was a different voice and an instrument of its own. Such great music from the Four Seasons, sweet and sad melodies, all from the era of innocence. Granted there’s one of my favs from the 70s - December 1963.

If you thought he was lip singing then there probably had been some of it going on. My own guess is that Frankie probably had background tracks singing with him to bolster the vocal sound.

I'm an avid concert goer. I see shows at home in New England, South Florida at the hard rock in fort lauderdale and Vegas. I saw Gaga 3X a couple weeks ago at the Park MGM. She has the best vocal range of any pop star I've ever heard. I know talent when I hear it.
I saw Frankie at the Hard rock in fort lauderdale this year. His production was so fabulous I'm seeing him again at Mohegan sun in Connecticut next month. Does he lip sync? Who cares! His band and his backup vocalists are so good I'm not phased by it even though I'm a purist.

I have stumbled across your channel by checking the venue of the International Theater at Westgate. I was planning to fly to Vegas from Europe to attend the concert of singer sensation Angelina Jordan (you might have heard of her from AGT in 2020 when she was only 13). She is a rising star signed by Republic Records at 14 ( the biggest label in the world). She had her first sold out concert in Portsmouth last year at just 17. The ticket prices are extremely high 'cause she is been poised to be next superstar in 2 or 3 years time. Very young and already several original songs. If you are in Vegas you shouldn't miss the opportunity. I will check your videos on Westgate to see how the experience is to watch legend like Barry Manilow live on that stage.

    Nothing to add.
    Well done sir.
I adore FV and he came to Knoxville several mos ago. The ticket prices were just astronomical.
Live performance, I can justify the costs. At over 200 a seat, I think I'd have been really sad to see the disconnect from a live voice.
I can listen to my playlists and be warm at home. I just question why an 88, 89 year old man is being taken all across the country like that.
A residency near his home is different.
    He deserves some rest.

Once you see the video of him going off after a balloon they were batting around and he is still singing with no mic near him. Every concert sounds the same. In the 90’s he sang and you can tell. He needs to retire.

He is so old he is lucky to be there, so who cares. He can hardly move. Sad to watch. So what if he lip syncs them . 😊
