    I think ring athletes are some of the most talented and strongest athletes in all the world. It's one thing to have this unbelievable strength, but to be this far up and have all the balance and coordination on top of it... unbelievable

      you will ruin your balance and coordination if you have inappropriate level of strength.
      you cannot separate any aspect of rings performance from any other; all must be there, or your performance will be crap.

    I know they are shorter, but it's incredible that it's possible to sustain all of your weight on your sholders. The shoulders and chests of these men are amazing.

      @@balbibouot many humans can achieve the simplest of exercises a gymnast can , on the other hand every body can kick a ball . The talent of a gymnast is not his ability to score goals it’s his ability to perform the perfect form .

    I wish I had the chance to do this sport when i was young, forget it now, especially with a broken elbow ! These guys are awseome and tough !

      you should get rings and practice with it anyway, it will really strengthen your elbows and your arm bones, i used to have a lot of problems in my shoulder joints and elbow joints and wrist joints with lack of mobility, pain in moving, and clicking and popping all the time.
      i may have had injuries but mostly just not using these and exercising them.
      with the practice of gymnastics especially rings i have incredibly good feel in my shoulder girdle and elbows,, really flexible and strong now, and no joint issues.
      it was really hard at first, but gymnastic straight arms exercises really do make your elbows extremely tough, just make sure to pace yourself and give your body enough nutrition and time needed to recover and become stronger.
      it will increase your bone density and make the previously fractured bones stronger as well.
      start slow and see how it goes.

    If you think this doesnt take a lifetime of practice to do this go to your local gym and try out the rings there. Alot of them have them so shouldnt be too hard to find.

    People wondering why they don't train legs. They do, but to get the perfect balance to be able to do iron crosses you need less mass in the legs. :)

      I was thinking about that and realised that extra muscle mass would a big hindrance to the competition as it would weigh him down and create possible mobility issues.

      Type 2 or type 1?
      Type 2 is curable. It can be reversed through fasting, diet, etc.
      Just like people can train to get a front lever or handstand push up, people can also remove type 2 diabetes with discipline.
