Good stuff 👍🏼 In the past I did an edge without the concrete and it only lasted a few months before shifting because the home owner ran the mower on it as they cut the grass. Concrete every time from now on.
I was thinking doing the same but was worried about water retention. It’s exactly the same size and placement. How could I resolve this issue so water doesn’t retain and flow away please advise thanks
Thanks Sean! What do you recommend up against the house where the brick is? I don’t like to idea of soil sitting against the brick as I think it may deteriorate the brick, especially fir those of us who have freeze-thaw cycles to enjoy. Even landscape fabric will let moisture through and into the brick. On one planter, my contractor put a thin piece of styrofoam against the brick and concrete and it seems to have held up. It just looks a little on the ugly side as parts of the top gets exposed when the new earth settles.

Nice work , would putting a caps on be over kill ?
Thank you, these aren't meant for caps. Its hard to tell from the video but the tops are textured so they look great as is.
How does water drain away from the house tho? Is the mulch sitting above the stone? Wouldn’t water pool and lift the concrete?
Its going to be a flower bed so the water will just absorb into the ground. Thanks for watching
What brand block is that? I like the straight clean edges.
Techo Bloc Brandon Edge
So the "Modified" is like item 4 or crusher run? Essentially it's 3/4 stone with fines?
Correct
