Another home run Doug! Love your ideas and creativity. Excellent work shop, I think I'd be in heaven working with all the tools you've got on hand! keep the projects and videos coming.
awesome project and techniques. After watching what seems like thousands of woodworking videos, you and Sharon have a way of making things easy to understand; I'm not sure quite what it is since you both have different approaches, but it's easy to watch your videos then go make a project yourself. Thanks and make yourself a good day
Theres something peaceful about watching you work. I dont know. Doug working on crafts. The kids upstairs yelling and screaming and all the while the dryer just keeps the beat going. I was going to ask if youd ever made a whirly gig, but I think this will do. Love your videos. They brighten my day sometimes..
Alright, I’m getting sick of your videos. First, I saw you fishing from a canoe, so I bought one and absolutely loved it. I count down the days until I can get back out on the water and catch some trout or bass. Then, you walk through the woods and stop and look at stuff. I did this with my kids, and we saw more on one small trail than we ever have on longer hikes. Your absurd wood figures are handcrafted and endearing. I bought a knife kit off Amazon and chopped off an aspen branch only to make something out of a Picasso’s nightmare on my first attempt. Subsequent efforts have put a strain on Colorado’s aspen population but have produced statues that are starting to look almost human! Why have I been carving wood when I could be binging on a Netflix show? Now you made this Rube Goldberg door knocker that would be absurd if it wasn’t so charming. Please stop showing me these types of things so I can go back to being lazy. Sarcasm aside, I really am inspired by your videos!
@@dougLinker you're awesome. would love the hatchet door knocker. how much you charge to make them? jasonf414@gmail.com heard about you on joe robinets channel. awesome bro.
Love the door knocker Doug. Years ago we had a similar knocker that was a Woodpecker instead of the hatchet but you couldn’t hear it inside. Adding the aluminum plates probably makes all the difference. It’s great that you can fully “explain” a video how to without saying a word.
This was awesome Doug! My dad is really crafty & enjoys being in his shop making all kinds of stuff. I will have to show him this video. I know he will love it. Hope you're having a great weekend! Happy Mother's Day to Mrs Doug.
If you keep giving me ideas like this I'll never get through my to do list for this spring. Great idea Doug and another good instructional video, even if there wasn't any dialog. Cheers till the next one!
Lol on the dutch wooden shoes on your feet. Fancy door knocker there. You are so full of surprises. I bet Shawn aka My Self Reliance would love to have you do some of his wood working and or building. Some of those things you made for the axe door knocker look so real once painted up. I love the red stained wood on your home. Thanks for sharing your awesome talent.
I love watching your projects Doug, so creative. And watching how easily your bandsaw was citing through everything tells me a need a new bandsaw blade 😁
Hello Doug, I came to know you through Joe Robinet's page loved his work and have become of fan of yours. I'm a mountain dweller in Western North Carolina and be in touch from time to time peace
your vids are the best doug you have a way of making them to the point keep it simple step by step none of that on and on talking for these type videos but !!! you also have videos were i could sit and listen to ya for hours !!! great job and im still chainsaw carving as a matter fact its getting very big fast !!! and i was first ta give a like this time hahaha !!!
awesome idea turned out great. Can it be heard from inside? also really cool idea with the longitude latitude sign (do visitors get a carving? or just a pocket of wood chips?)
Great Video, thanks. Just be careful of your welcome to sign next to the door knocker it's got your location on it, probably best not uploading videos with your home location on it. Cheers Ben
That is brilliant, the concept could be enlarged to cover various 'employments', hammer for carpenter, spanner for mechanic, knife for butcher etc...some thought may have to go into gynecologist though... :)
Another home run Doug! Love your ideas and creativity. Excellent work shop, I think I'd be in heaven working with all the tools you've got on hand! keep the projects and videos coming.
