- Trying out our outbacker fire box wood stove that we bought for our bell tent.whilst giving it a first burn we cooked a pan of homemade soup and a brew. I want this stove but with a rocket stove attachment on the side so the fuel handling and ash is outside the primary unit. Keep the rest the same.
That sounds a great idea possibly use less fuel 👍👍👍

@@360OutdoorAdventures I use mine in a basic miltec tipi, with a homemade flue protector. It can get too hot if you let it, but like any other stove, keep it under control and I'm sure it'll serve you well. Happy camping 👍👍👍👍
@@crazytwospoons that sounds brilliant I bet it's great when it's cold and the weather is bad. Our son bought us a bell tent and we hoped to get out over the winter but with one thing and another, we never got a chance. Still managed a few camps in the hammock, I do like the stove seems solid. That’s a big chimney probably need that because of the tent right? Can you put a full size log in it? Looks like you could when had the soup going. Chilling by the waterside nice. Yum! Good stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, the tent is maybe ten foot tall at its highest point so the flue needs to be tall. We could put a good size log in the stove one thing it will keep us nice and warm on those cold winter camps.

Good vid. I wander if those stoves would be good to put in a camper van? Bit less space taken up than a normal stove?
No, too hot and they need a none air tight room like a shed or a tent.
I saw one review saying 'It's great in my van'.

Hi, Jon, it didn't take to long at all once I removed any burning wood and the ashes. Maybe 30 minutes and it was cool enough to handle. Thanks for watching atb Garry. 😊😊👍👍
