The Multi Function Tent Dragon is the World's first multi option tent stove offering efficient re-burning of the wood gases (clean, secondary gasification) to insure a clean burn and low fuel use. This is the first with multiple application tent stove providing high fire power frying, low fire power simmering, baking, grilling, heating water and heating in one unit!
This translates to the first clean burning portable tent stove that was not only designed for low emissions and low fuel use, but for multiple cooking functions. But that's only the beginning of this amazing new tent stove. For starters you notice the tent firebox features a glass window to view and enjoy the flame and a bake oven viewing glass. It gets better.
This portable unit has folding legs, that retract and fold under stove for a compact footprint for easy transportation. The stove has an adjustable primary ventilation dampner on firebox door and 2 rows of continuous steady state secondary ventilation positioned at the top of the firebox. A small aluminum baking pan pan is easily accessible slipped below the firebox grate for easy ash disposal.
The 11 gauge heavy steel (1/8") cooktop has a traditional 5 & 7/8" round cooktop cut out for high firepower frying, boiling, and woking for use inside or outside the tent. A larger rectangle cut out in the cook top allows the 7 & 3/4" x 10 & 1/2" grill insert (included) to be used when bed of embers are established to grill outside the tent. The oven rack is the grill rack and stores inside the oven when transporting along with the additional oven baking pan.
The right rear of the stove has a 10 & 1/2" wide x 9 & 1/4" x 7" tall baking oven. A removable 2 quart / 2 Liter capacity stainless steel hot water tank with brass spigot is mounted to the rear of the left . An additional 12 & 1/2 x 6" deep food or bun support rack rests above the hot water tank.
6 sections of chimney come with the stove with a spark arrester on top. First photo shows stove displayed with only 5 sections due to showroom ceiling height. The chimney extends 89 & 5/8" above stove's cooktop surface.
In summary, the Multi Dragon provides more options than any other tent stove on the planet, if performs the following functions:
* Space Heating (Includes 6 Stainless Steel Chimney Sections)
* Bakes (Viewing Glass and Temperature Gauge on Oven Door)
* Boil, Fry, or Wok (High Firepower Cooktop Cutout)
* Low Firepower Cooking (Reverse Rectangle Cut-out)
* Outdoor Grilling, with Grill Rack
* Provides Hot Water (2 Quart / 2 Liter Capacity Stainless Steel Water Tank)
* Viewing Glass and Primary Ventilation Dampner Control on Firebox Door
* Steady State Secondary Ventilation Insuring Efficient Clean Combustion
* Sustainable Clean Burning Combustion & Utilizes Minimal Fuel
* Portable Tent Stove Package Cooktop is 11 Heavy Gauge Steel to Insure Long Stove Life

Do you ship to Canada?
Jonathan B Im in AB and i want one of these as well. I haven't found a Canadian supplier. Did you order one through E775? I am trying to figure out the cheapest and easiest way to get one of these.
I didn't find one in Canada. So i got an army tent stove from princess auto for $50
Jonathan B welp...i bit the bullet and ordered one from the manufacturer in Oregon. I researched a long time. I didn't find one that compares, for what i wanted it to do. It's supposed to arrive friday. Fast and easy but very pricey! It better out live ME!!
@@wildflower746 Look into the Nomad stove, an alternative to the G-stove which seems to be available in the UK. It has a 3 liter water thing with a spigot, and a folding oven that folds flat. There is also a backpacking Tent stove made of lightweight Titanium that weighs around 2 pounds. One review I saw of the Nomad had a discount code for 5% off, that never expires. and free shipping in the US and Canada I believe.
Guy kept saying this was "portable" but never said how much it weighed. The Nomad stove only is about 20 pounds and has a carry bag about the size of a duffel bag.
I am not sure what size of room these would be able to heat up. May depend on the outside temp and the insulation.
Edit: oops you already ordered. Never mind then
My Uncle has what I think is this exact stove for a 1 room hunting & fishing cabin up in NH..
Throws off a good amount of heat & it's perfect for cooking up quick meals
I was going to get a cube for my sprinter van conversion but now I want this instead! Thanks to you I"m going to order it right away!
That is a real useful wood stove/ gasifier, I see one in my future. Thanks Scott.
Good Lord ,definitely never seen a tent stove as this ,really impressed . Thank you good sir for sharing !
Yep, and I can’t buy it anywhere!! Figures. So I can buy portable stoves without secondary combustion all day long, but the better ones with secondary burning are impossible to get SMH.
That is the best wood fired stove I have ever seen, props, I hope you still have those when I'm ready to get one. Cheers
Great explanation and illustration to help us understand the smokeless combustion chamber, thank you.
Wonder how well it would work for pressure canning.
I checked price, much better than a Kimberly, with more features! I am sold, and will not have to cut as much wood, seems better built than a typical box stove
How heavy is it? What are the features options how does the oven work? And are you going to show us?
Nice stove, great video! Sat here drooling in January England after you showed us the brats and beans. Breakfast time!
could you wrap the stack down and around to heat a mass?
OK YOU CONVINCED ME I AM GOING TO BUY ONE
how long will it burn a load of fuel?
After watching silver fire video on the Generation 3 tent Dragon, I am wondering if there are any long-term cleaning issues with this stove? Would you mind sharing which generation stove you have and how long you've had it and whether you've run into any problems cleaning the secondary burn ports?
Awesome stove, I'll be buying one as soon as they are available again in January!
Love the stove design and seems to be a fair price. But, 50 lbs is a bit much for a fly out or pack stove. Would work great for a base camp with vehicle access. I was getting pretty excited before the let down.
How warm does the stovepipe get? Would it be warm enough for something like another inline chimney oven attachment (bake pies, make bread, etc.) or perhaps REALLY make this thing more efficient and add a heat reclaimer? or add both? or even coil some brass tubing around it for a lot more hot water for bathing, cleaning, and so on? Just looking for a way to make it as efficient as possible. Thanks!
OmG
I'll take ten these!
Good vid dude
What a great product, thank you for sharing this with us.
awesome video thank you sir
it looks like a great stove but does it break down to a compact size like the "G
Stove and those welded side panels are for what purpose, they seem to do nothing unless they're part of that double burning function?
I would liked to have seen inside the oven and also how the stove is cleaned out after a burn. Looks like a wonderful stove.
He shows it now.
Great presentation and information, I bought a silverfire hunter a while back and it's a great stove
Wonderful demonstration video. Very informative. I really appreciate it!
Does it have a ash catch pan
Wow...look at the height of the stove pipe...can this be used in an rv or camper van
How did it do in the tents? How long is the burn time. I.e would you be able to get some sleep, in the field, between stokes and feeds.
Hey, consider rigging up a feed tube to a small generator to see if you can run it off this stove. Gasify into the generator. You may create yet another option for this!
i love it... does the stack bend in the wind?
I have a gas fired water heater in my basement. It has a 4" metal flue going up & through the roof. It already handles heat & fumes from the water heater. In a grid down, life or death case, what are your thoughts of disconnecting the water heater & connecting this stove up to the existing metal flue? GREAT VIDEO! Thanks!
have an expert show you the variables........good double wall stainless exhaust that must extend above the height of the roof.........it won't vent right otherwise..you could go out the wall,,,,,,,,,maybe through the floor /ceiling first to make use of chimney heat upstairs..........the worry is not worth it to hodgepodge it
ehhhh it would work... but for how long? dunno
I like this stove, but would you know the burn time once you load it?
A wonderful little stove!!!
I know I always like to complicate things, so without further ado:
(1) Since you have some good land there, do you think it would be possible to grow a crop of some form of grass that can be compressed into logs or pellets and used as fuel for that stove? It would be interesting to see how well you could do per unit area.
(2) Could you design a stove that runs on pyrolysis gases, and saves the charcoal for later use as fuel. I wonder how much more complicated it would be to engineer that?
(3) Could you design a compact pyrolysis electric generator that could feed power to a hotplate/stove? I'm thinking this would be the ultimate, since you'd get charcoal, the ability to manufacture liquid hydrocarbons, and power various devices.
(4) For any of these options, it would be great if you could use the exhaust heat to distill water.
probably more btus available coppicing some fast tree firewood at about 3 inches.
Wikus Van De Merwe that's not a bad Question ! I to would like to know.
Where do you get the stove? The link you give goes to a scout gassifier stove.
I believe that the water tank on the side of the stove is for the primary purpose of melting snow for water when winter camping. The fact that the water may boil if left long enough is secondary in my opinion.
I am a homeless and was looking for something like that thank you!!!!
Me too were I get one
Homeless, but still, you have internet? I guess food and shelter are way down the list of priority!
Marc-André Morin
Ever heard of a library?
Right, but the cost...
$700 wood stove might be a bit rich for the homeless.
Just found this video. I was raised on wood stove cook'n. I Like this stove from what I seen of it. I definitely check these out. Thanks for sharing this video.
This stove really will be handy during a power outage, or even camping with family, and a group of friends! :)
Or like now with the current price of energy in the UK.
You said you were going to have a part two video on the tent dragon set up in a tent have you done that video yet. I can’t find it. I Would like to see the video of the 10 dragon working in a tent. Let me know. Thanks .
Paul Hamel
I have a gas fireplace and I want to burn wood this winter using its chimmney and a cast iron stove do you have a recommend?
verify the chimney was made for wood fire and not just gas ... if it is not made for wood ... then it will have to be redone and that is EXPENSIVE to retrofit ... better never to install a gas fireplace as they are basically useless for anything but heat ... a wood fire place is always good for cooking in on or in front of .. and with a fire box insert they make excellent house heaters and cook stoves ... as well
Nice Gadsden mug!
I was just thinking the other day about a good tent stove. Its not a bad price. Ill have to add it to the many items id like to buy but dont have the money.
stinkydroolface good price
well actually is better buy one. cry once
So where's the link to the actual stove at? All I am seeing is the link for the gasifier.
I’m sold on this style of tent stove. Only question I have is how does do with pellets? The price on these are 599 now and if pellets work just as well I’m picking one up. Nice vid.
Cooked the corn bread in 15 minutes, and burnt the hell out of it in 20.
How much does it weigh? How big of a space might it keep warm with firebox full of wood & for how long.
Great video! Thank you
can it be used in a small off grid cabin?
With that stove and the right tent I would live all winter in the tent up here in my part of northwestern Ontario Canada.
Nice little stove my friend
so you load wood from the top?
How big is the fire box? It looks small, I am nervous that I'll really have to process my wood down more for it to fit
Pretty tiny firebox. I would love a gasifier stove for my tent but the oven is a waste of space when heat overnight is the priority. Would rather see a big volume for fuel for long burn times and ditch the oven or make an add on top oven box of some kind.
Layne Rossi Yeah it is a small burn box. Id think 2 to 3 hours max loaded with hard wood.
Put a couple big rocks on top of stove for heat storage. It makes a huge difference. Be careful not to get some rock too hot or will bust. I have a couple small pieces of rebar that i put the rocks on so they not directly on top. Gives me another 1-2 hours of heat which equals sleep lol
Yeah I agree...burn box is way too small...site said it burn for 4 hours with hard wood...I use a cylinder stove in my 12x12 and load it before i hit the sack and still have enough hot coals in the morning to get the fire going again.
Yes, Thumbs Way Up for 'Cylinder Stove's products.. We have the mid-size 'Hunter', and Love it.. Just got their 'on-stack' Oven, and can't wait to try it out. But, for 'straight cooking', I can see this Dragon oven being a better 'combo design', and keeping smoke down is a great feature ('specially important in any Bear country.. :)
heat rocks ... lava rocks .. a big honking pot of water with lid .. a full side water can full ... an oven safe pot with lid also can retain heat so a 8 hour overnight heat source should not be a trouble ...as for the fire box if you use hardwood before calling it a night and close it down it should provide heat for about 6 hours and then add radiant heat while it cools down and anything that was left on it to provide extra heat plus the water tank cool down should make the heat last a minimum of 8hours.
I definatly want one of those. It's just what I've been looking for.
how long is the burn
1. hard wood full
2. soft wood full
3. twigs full
John Hales 🤔
John Hales 🤔😉👏😇😌😁🤠
Does this burn like a rocket stove, being that it burns the volatile gasses? Does it use less wood?
Yes, a Gassifier is reburning the volatile fumes, that are wasted as smoke.
I am unable to find a link for the stove. I'm very interested.
Scott. How much of a square area would this heat in cold weather.
I am looking for something compact but for a permanent camping situation.
#gstove
Can you tell me if this will work in a ten with a floor in it, I am looking for a stove for a bell tent, to heat and cook with and I watched this video a year ago with prepping in mind, but now I am at it for all around camping.
Thanks in advance and have a blessed week & a happy new year.
Dale
If you look at the larger expedition tents at Cabella's, for example, you'll see that the tent floors are designed with a removable rectangle under the roof vent so that bare earth is under the stove. If you're going to use this kind of stove in a tent you'll need the roof vent anyway (and probably an extra roof layer for spark suppression) so you could cut out and stitch reinforce the edges of a rectangle for your stove. Might also think about a fire extinguisher near the stove just in case.
When loaded with wood how long will it burn?
Any idea how big of an area would that heat?
How much is the cost of the Silver Fire Stove
Did you do a second video on the stove?
With is the stack so long?
Does the stove pipe break down and fit inside the other pieces of pipe? Does the pipe fit inside the stove for easy storage? Looks like a great stove and you do make a good video btw. Thank you.
A Spit of Mud yes. Pipes fit in fire box. And side rack fits also. Water heater might fit in oven. But might not.
A Spit of Mud y
Nancy Rogers: To keep it all together so when you go to use it you are not missing a critical piece(s). Nothing like packing out something and can't use it because you forgot to bring the stove pipe too.
Will a solar panel make electricity just form heat and not from light for fire?
Most wood stoves need electricity for blower.
no ... a solar panel is a PHOTOvoltaic panel .. meaning it needs sunlight or light ... to create power ... BUT a steam driven generator can be used to create power to charge stuff or run lights and what not
Look up thermo-electrics. You can generate power directly from the heat, sufficient to run a blower.
Do you sale these pr have a blueprint to build it? With all the hardware needed
How do you control the heat for the oven?
Why did thy not allow the water tank to be placed next to the fire box? Water may never reach a boil in a tent in the winter.
have you used as a grill inside a tent ?=
Oh Thank You 😊
I'd love to see it in a bell tent.
Wish I knew I bought winner well stove and oven for my airstream. This stove looks a bit big for my space but I'm gonna check out the web site I do have a hunting tent.
Reading the comments, people are so quick to pull this thing to pieces. Ok its a stove, it has an oven (which can be filled with thermal mass for extending heating time), its all round OK, the metal probably isn't too thick as its a portable model but it should last if you take care of it. it has a bit of a gimmick'y water heater that doesn't seem to get the water exactly "hot hot" but meh, you can always throw a pan of water on the pot heater. All in all it seems a good product, I don't have a link to anything that would better suit so I shall just call it a good video :D. If anyone wants to complain or pull the product down, please feel free do do so AND add links to a product you think is superior :D
Wow, love this! Btw, do you think the Biolite stoves with fan & usb charger are a serious option for short term off-grid cooking and device charging?
Noel Biolote takes a lot of fuel and time. Better to use solar and a battery bank.
Noel thats what I own and yes. with pellets it burns for 1 1/2 hours and it gets HOT fast and will not smoke at all as long as the wood is dry and shortly after the innitial light. though I am looking for something as good with a 6 hr burn time
the charging puts out maybe 1 amp which is something after 1 1/2 hrs it only gives a 20% increase on my phone. but it will almost burn you out of a tent trust me it gets HOT
John Hales, BioLite has the Base Camp model. It's quite a bit more substantial and features a constant feed door. If your fuel can fit through it, you can keep it lit by pushing the logs as they burn.
Around $300 and available at select Lowe's.
Ric Havic thanks though with a full box how long will it burn before ya have to wake up n feed it?
When will these be back in stock for purchase?
How often does one need to add wood on average? Will it burn through the night?
Thanks in advance!🙏🏻
Jesse.🌹
Super love it😍❤👍
Any idea when this will be back in stock in stainless steel?
when do we get to see it in wall tent
where are the door gaskets?
Do you have recommendations for income wood stoves?
Can we use inside kitchen?
I like this one. I think it's better for a small cabin, than a tent.
I think that is a great idea if it comes in different sizes
Where do you go for a good tent that you can use this stove in?
You can add it to almost any tent. You need a "stove jack". Plenty of videos on how to do it. A carbon monoxide detector is always a good idea.
Good job!
How would it do in a yurt?
Awesome stove and awesome price.
Would make a nice addition to my emergency preparedness needs when it comes to being out of doors or in a temporary tent structure during an emergency or function. Price point not that steep either.
How well would this work for heating water with a coil for domestic hot water?
Why not do like I did 35 years ago and build yourself a 30 gallon Wood Burning Water Heater !
Gotta Link? :) ..to Your design, specifically..
NO Links - My 30 gallon Wood Burning Water Heater originally started it's life as an Antique , free standing , Stove Oil Burning Water Heater . I removed the bottom pan and all of the Stove Oil burning apparatus . These old Oil burning Water Heaters have a couple of features that make them very adaptable to WOOD Burning - 1) The central flue pipe through the tank is of a heavy gauge metal (won't burn out) , and 2) The central flue pipe has heat radiating fins protruding from it into the tank . Next , after removing the outer wrap & insulation , using an Angle Grinder & Carborundom Cutting Blade , I carefully cut off the bowl shaped bottom of a discarded 30 gallon gas water heater . Next , I drove the bowl shaped end into the bottom of the Oil Burning Water Heater with the concavity facing inwards . Again using the Grinder I cut a piece out of the side of the discarded unit to give me at least a one inch overlap on all sides of the opening on the Oil Burning Water Heater , welded on Hinges , fabricated a Latch for the door , and installed in the middle of the door an old Cast Iron Draft from a burned out antique Pot Belly Wood Stove . I insulated the water portion of my water heater with a double layer of Fiberglass Insulation and a sheetmetal wrapper to protect the Fiberglass . My Wood Burning Water Heater is outdoors on a good FIREPROOF base and atleast 18 inches from any combustables ( walls , etc. ) . I made absolutely certain to install a PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE in the top of the tank , it would be VERY EASY to accidently create a STEAM BOMB . I hooked up the Wood Burning Water Heater the same as for any other type of water heater . With the tank full of water , a few handfulls of firewood , and about 20 minutes time and there is plenty of HOT Water . -- DISCLAIMER: This is the way I did it . I absolutely will NOT assume any liability for ANYONE copying my methods . YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK !
Special Note: If you are seriously interested in having a Wood Burning Water Heater , I have seen NEW, Manufactured, Wood Burning Water Heaters selling down in MEXICO . This was about 20 years ago, so it might be worth investigating .
Don't let the water tank run dry or it will warp
Is there any reason why you couldn't use this in your house for an emergency heat source assuming you put it on bricks and vent out the window?
the smoke will kill you
@@aps-c1766 he said vent out the window, not in the house 🤣
in a small room yes
I bought one of the stainless steel cook stoves when I fired it up the first time the plate both toplace would not come off until the store was cooled off but when I put the plate the other way when I fired It Up full plate would come off from the stove
When you're pushing the costs to $300-400, it's a lot easier to come up with all kinds of great ideas. (I'm not against Silverfire, I have a Super Dragon.) Once you get into that kind of budget, you can put together a number of ways to cook, heat the space, insulate against heat loss, all while you promote flag, apple pie and Mom. Has anyone held a design competition for solutions to the set of problems the Tent Dragon is supposed to address?
I bought it only for the 2ndary burn to avoid smoke.. and it smokes like crazy. I may be doing something wrong, but they have the stainless steel version now and it was $700. Wish I would r just doubled that and bought a regular wood burning stove. No directions for cleaning, needs constantly fed, and though well built, it weighs over 75#’s. Not happy
DT T54 - check the door fitting. Mine arrived and the door didn’t fit correctly so it wouldn’t have worked properly. Make sure the rope seal is in contact all the way round. If it isn’t the latch might need bending flatter to squeeze the door closed.
Andy P thanks, Andy!
Where is part 2?
Nice review ;-)
when you grill meat ,the fat will drop into the fire , is that okay ?
Where can i buy one like that? i would really like to know. Very nice. Would possibly heat a small two bed two bath home under 1100 sq ft.
why the stack so high?
