  • I bought the cheapest hot tent woodstove I could find on Amazon. It is the Vevor woodstove that cost me $130. I unbox it, set it up, do the initial first burn and left it out overnight in the wind to give you a true and honest review.

I bought this same stove after watching this video directly from VEVOR in June 2024. The stove pipe that was included in my purchase is a swaged pipe not a tapered pipe so no need for clamps and no chance of the pipe collapsing. Though clamps are included, I won't use them. The swaged pipe is very rigid once assembled. My stove was 90% assembled. I only had to install the stove pipe flange and the damper on the front of the door. I'm very satisfied with the quality of this stove and I expect it to last years. It should be perfect for my 9.8' bell tent.
Update after several uses: This small wood stove definitely keeps my 9.8' bell tent very warm. Once you get a feel for controlling the burn with the dampers you will have good control over the heat. Burn time is around 2 hrs depending on the hardness of the wood you burn. FYI...The first three sections of pipe on the stove can get orange during a burn. I used a 4" x 30" piece of vent pipe to use as a heat shield over the stove pipe so as not to burn the stove pipe jack on the tent. The heat shield works very well although it is bulky to carry around. A shorter piece of 4" pipe would work also. A heat shield is pretty much a must when using this stove unless you have a higher ceiling tent. I suggest testing out your new stove outside of a tent at night for the first time to get a feel of how hot it gets and how to control the burn with the dampers. Lastly, I lined the bottom of my stove with a layer of small

I'm surprised teh aluminum plate on top doesn't melt

@@JasonSmith-wj2ht I had the same concern about the aluminum plate melting but even when burning a fire that turns the stove pipes orange, it has not let go. I've used the stove for 15 nights camping and no issues with it. FYI...sitting a pot of water on that aluminum plate brings it to a rolling boil easily.

Thanks for doing a review with the product operating. I’m getting tired of reviews of people just taking the product out of the box. Next we going to have product review of the order and tracking!!!

Haha I hate those reviews. That's why I show it actually being used. Thanks for watching!

If they don’t use it, it’s not a true review. I set up and try out my purchases asap. In the yard or house, it gets used.

My question wouldn't the dampner come off the back if you mounted it to stay in the back, or is the mounting asymmetrical?

Do you think it would be safe to use it in a caravan?

If I was putting any woodstove in a vehicle or structure, I wouldn't recommend a cheap, collapsible stove. I would go with something solid and durable.
