Просмотров 185День назад
In this podcast I discuss what happened to a missing hiker in Northern BC. Sam disappeared on a 10 day hike and somehow survived for 50 days in the remote Northern BC wilderness. What I say in this podcast should be taken with a grain of salt and is not 100% factual. I have not talked to Sam and I am only going off of the info that we have been able to gather from social media and news outlets....

While out doing a late season grouse hunt, I ran upon several deer out in the bush and it quickly turned into a deer hunt. This is a one of a kind catch clean and cook. Make gutting and butchering easy with this knife and saw kit: am...

Fresh Grouse and Bannock Cooked Over the Fire - Catch Clean and Cook
Просмотров 44021 день назад
I started the day out hunting grouse in Northern BC with my .22lr. After harvesting a grouse and cleaning it up, it was time to cook the chicken over the fire. We made our way to our favorite camping spot and cooked up some bannock on a stick and the fresh grouse over the fire. We even topped it off with some homemade beef tallow that I brought along. It was the cherry on top that made it just ...

I’ve seen rock tumblers on every single Christmas catalog since I was a kid. And never what the hell they did. Now I know. Thanks!
i got though a 4 day power outage with the Coleman version of that stove was awesome hot food it is like a thing.
where is your state bro?
Shooting Spruce grouse is like hunting in your chicken coop
The same stove seems to be sold by about 20 different brands. I've had mine for over three years and run about 6 cans or so through it. Great single burner.
I called it cruising..not hunting..expensive on gas!!!
I was at Walmart the other day the older Coleman stove they $108 for it
@davidwright5580 they can be a bit pricey but at least with Coleman they typically last a very long time.
Good morning naber from Dawson
Good morning!
Enjoy the shows from the Great White North. I have a Coleman Equivalent of this stove. Have had it for over 10 years. It’s a great trip traveling stove I keep in the van for roadside meals. What I have experienced is 1.) be very careful of the flame. Butane burns really clean and sometimes in bright sunlight you can’t even see the flame. You have to tilt your head to observe the vapors. You can get burned if you don’t respect the flame! Be extra cautious with little ones around. I travel the Great Lakes often along the Interstate from Lake Ontario to Superior and all in between mostly State Side. This is a great rest stop stove. 2.)When the weather gets stupid cold butane is not the best option like outside windy northern Minnesota in January. White gas ⛽️ is the best for cold weather. Also outside temps will affect your boil time. Make sure you pack extra fuel. Love the hunting videos. The bear with the shotgun was good The chickens Deer. Thx for sharing. Love the camper videos too Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you for the useful tips and thank you for watching so many videos. Im glad you enjoyed them! Have a Merry Christmas and best of luck in the upcoming New Year.
Great video
My grandfather bought one of these log splitters 16 years ago. It has slit lots of wood and I use it to this day.
Name it right groose not chicken or duck or turkey why you call it chicken ?
Never heard em called chickens b4. Must be an Alaska thing?
Did he become rich nowadays? In case like that.. so everybodies will speculate what have happened to him. Nice podcast
Great info. , you don't keep the leg and thighs ?
Did you guys just throw away those legs...
Congratulations!!! Nice buck. Great eats for winter.
Where the fucks the danger lol
Wow Sheldon. That is interesting to say the least. You made some compelling points. I think the one I am stuck on the most is he was upset about not catching one fish, yet he was still rationing his food after 5 weeks in the bush. That part doesn't add up at all. He went out on a 10 day trip, so if he never caught a single fish how did he still have food left? Another great point is a savvy outdoorsmen like himself would have known how to make a signal fire. If he wanted to be found he would have known what to do. I don't believe he wanted to be found.
What about eating the legs & gizzards?
Congrats on that nice buck Sheldon - really nice deer and good shooting Gotta love meatloaf - cheers
The lazy way and wasteful way
Just watched this again. I’ve seen some videos where the content creator did show the killing and gutting of the animal and RUclips did not pull the video. But as I recall, they started the video with both a text and a verbal banner advising that the content shows the ethical killing and preparation of a common game animal for the purpose of eating it. And that if you find such content, disturbing, then you shouldn’t watch. It’s up to you, but it might be worth looking into.
@Mike990920 what happens with a lot of them is they won't pull the video but the won't allow it to be monetized and you won't make any money from ad revenue. Or they call it "limited revenue" and you get a few pennies from youtube premium.
@ I suppose an option is to set up a patreon account. Though I have no idea how money donated to this gets to the content owner.
Question, how deep did you let her drop.... ?
@asdfbc around Prince Rupert we typically fish between 200 and 400 feet.
Beautiful deer Sheldon!!! I can’t believe he letcha walk close enough to get a shot!! BTW, I’ve never done it, but there’s recipes for DIY brown sugar, using regular sugar and molasses.
Really missing these days
This is the life I want

I wish I could show more but unfortunately RUclips is pretty sensitive these days.
shhh i don't want Trudeau and his liberals to tax on the last free things left we can enjoy, With all the negative things going on in Canada protest ect. nice to unplug and get away. keep up with the good work.
Not too often that I come across a channel and feel the need to instantly subscribe. Love the content buddy
@JohnTS14 that means a lot, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Can we also do hunting with you bro!!?
I love going to the backyard grocery store. Way better quality of meat than any grocery store
Absolutely!

Tea? How about hot buttered rum(.)
Does it come with a charger
yes it does
I feel most at peace when I’m out in the bush too. Thanks for taking me along on your campfire cookout and hunt. Take care Sheldon!
@bcforester4603 thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Take care of yourself out there.
If we shot from a public road or across a public road down here in the states, we would be in big trouble. I like your laws north better. Thanks for the video.
Man!! Always love your videos!! Great selection of music shortly after the opening of your video. Also, in the opening minutes, there was a scene where you were driving up a snowless dirt road with snow off in the woods to either side of the road. The contrast was beautiful. I forget the name of it, but I watch another channel of a guy named Ryan Kusk, who does a lot of off grid stuff somewhere in Northern Alberta. In his recent video he posted, he also ran into the issue that his camera battery shut down because of the cold. Very nice winter camp lunch! Too bad your Mrs. couldn’t join you. I hope McD’s ‘n KFC are comp’ing you for the plugs! Peace n love to you brother! ☮️💕
Always great to see you Sheldon 👍
@@P3T3RXIII thanks. It great to see you as well!
Fun hunting! Love it Sheldon
I have a single shot 16 gauge but I wish it was a bolt action cuz that is just too cool for words.
@sebastiengoyettemichaud7477 ya its a cool little gun. I'm always looking at the used gun sections and looking for cool odd treasures like this. I recently found some side by side 16 gauges that I'm wanting to get to add to the collection.
Can’t believe those er “chickens” just stand there after being shot at. Where is this place ?
These grouse don’t seem to afraid even when shot at
I would think grouse are very weary. This must be like in Canada
Yes grouse good eating I bet
