Просмотров 185День назад
In this podcast I discuss what happened to a missing hiker in Northern BC. Sam disappeared on a 10 day hike and somehow survived for 50 days in the remote Northern BC wilderness. What I say in this podcast should be taken with a grain of salt and is not 100% factual. I have not talked to Sam and I am only going off of the info that we have been able to gather from social media and news outlets....

Fresh Grouse and Bannock Cooked Over the Fire - Catch Clean and Cook
Просмотров 44021 день назад
I started the day out hunting grouse in Northern BC with my .22lr. After harvesting a grouse and cleaning it up, it was time to cook the chicken over the fire. We made our way to our favorite camping spot and cooked up some bannock on a stick and the fresh grouse over the fire. We even topped it off with some homemade beef tallow that I brought along. It was the cherry on top that made it just ...

    Enjoy the shows from the Great White North. I have a Coleman Equivalent of this stove. Have had it for over 10 years. It’s a great trip traveling stove I keep in the van for roadside meals. What I have experienced is 1.) be very careful of the flame. Butane burns really clean and sometimes in bright sunlight you can’t even see the flame. You have to tilt your head to observe the vapors. You can get burned if you don’t respect the flame! Be extra cautious with little ones around. I travel the Great Lakes often along the Interstate from Lake Ontario to Superior and all in between mostly State Side. This is a great rest stop stove. 2.)When the weather gets stupid cold butane is not the best option like outside windy northern Minnesota in January. White gas ⛽️ is the best for cold weather. Also outside temps will affect your boil time. Make sure you pack extra fuel. Love the hunting videos. The bear with the shotgun was good The chickens Deer. Thx for sharing. Love the camper videos too Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Wow Sheldon. That is interesting to say the least. You made some compelling points. I think the one I am stuck on the most is he was upset about not catching one fish, yet he was still rationing his food after 5 weeks in the bush. That part doesn't add up at all. He went out on a 10 day trip, so if he never caught a single fish how did he still have food left? Another great point is a savvy outdoorsmen like himself would have known how to make a signal fire. If he wanted to be found he would have known what to do. I don't believe he wanted to be found.

    Just watched this again. I’ve seen some videos where the content creator did show the killing and gutting of the animal and RUclips did not pull the video. But as I recall, they started the video with both a text and a verbal banner advising that the content shows the ethical killing and preparation of a common game animal for the purpose of eating it. And that if you find such content, disturbing, then you shouldn’t watch. It’s up to you, but it might be worth looking into.

    • @BuickOutdoors
      @BuickOutdoors 13 дней назад

      @Mike990920 what happens with a lot of them is they won't pull the video but the won't allow it to be monetized and you won't make any money from ad revenue. Or they call it "limited revenue" and you get a few pennies from youtube premium.

    Man!! Always love your videos!! Great selection of music shortly after the opening of your video. Also, in the opening minutes, there was a scene where you were driving up a snowless dirt road with snow off in the woods to either side of the road. The contrast was beautiful. I forget the name of it, but I watch another channel of a guy named Ryan Kusk, who does a lot of off grid stuff somewhere in Northern Alberta. In his recent video he posted, he also ran into the issue that his camera battery shut down because of the cold. Very nice winter camp lunch! Too bad your Mrs. couldn’t join you. I hope McD’s ‘n KFC are comp’ing you for the plugs! Peace n love to you brother! ☮️💕
