Hey guys! So I know many of you are home from work, have lost your jobs, are now doing school online, and are bored with how much time you have at home. I can't be the only one who has started baking things I would never bake before just to fill my time lol. So today, I wanted to bring it back to the basics and talk about how to start and grow a RUclips channel. If you've always wanted to have a channel but used the excuse "I just don't have time", now is your time to do it! So today I'm sharing my tips on how to start a successful RUclips channel and how to grow with 0 subscribers.

In my opinion starting a channel is still well worth it. I remember paying for views and subs on Famester in the early days of my channel (not this one of course), but I don't regret now it because it helped me so much that I don't think I would've ever make it to where I'm now if it wasn't for Famester.
7 years ago I wanted to start a channel but anxiety took over. I've now started my channel this year and really enjoying it! Good luck to everyone 💓

This is great Cathrin!! I would add to this the reality of the time and strategic planning that goes in place with every video. You can create videos for RUclips without feeling like a vlogger and instead use it as vid marketing for your biz.

It's crazy how hard it is finding a niche , especially when u like ALOT of stuff
The question I ask my students/clients is not what they like, but what is the one thing that they can talk about at the drop of a hat and go on for hours about. Don't try to find what others want to hear. Talk about what you're passionate about and that passion will get people to watch you even if the topic isn't their #1 interest.

I completely agree with you! There is nothing bad sitting at home and knowing that you are safe. It’s better then to be a patient in the hospital. We live in NYC and my husband is a doctor and he works with people with coronavirus. So we are in a high risk and I really hope people understand it and sit at home... 🤞

Love your inspiration! There certainly are challenges along the way and I've come to a wall. I've been filming and editing on my phone which was fun and rewarding at first but when my video quality wasn't too great either I made my videos too long or had to upload at a lower resolution, I started to have doubts on my channel. I'm trying to get over the hurdle of laptop storage, difficulty with iMovie not recognizing my files, buying a camera, deleting content that took me the whole day to film but hated it because my old kitchen was in my background and now despite what content I make I need to upgrade my laptop and software. Mind you that's all within three weeks. Just when about to buy a laptop with my dad's help, I've come across other problems, but that may be internal like me, myself and I. So I watch RUclipsrs like you to keep me motivated. Starting a RUclips channel is overwhelming and I want to get over that hurdle and just make content without beating myself up I don't want to give up RUclips and that's my goal for the first year.

I started my own youtube channel a year ago, but I really have only my own views counted. And I really think the content is good, humorous. I made arty animations/comedy sketches about how RUclips’s Algorithm works. And funnily enough, my video’s are not recommended to anyone by the algorithm.
I’d better start watching Cathrin’s videos again & really pay attention this time;)
