yeah, she broke up with me during quarantine. After 5 months. Thefirst 4 months where so incredibly wonderful from both ends that she literally said, that she want to be my woman forever, and go wherever I go, that Im literally the most beautiful person, that she loves my cooking and that she doesnt know how to live without and so much more. She literally was completely all over me. But she is also a very sensitive person, although I am too. But she had a horrible ex apparently, and she is anxious of people generally. And I was really a super positive person with lots of energy and passion and I gave her my heart and my love and my care. However. Not knowing all the downsides, we came in those 5 months in 3 confrontations (discussions I would say as that sounds much more positive). In the first one she was overreacting while I tried to tell her something in the good for the relationship (right in the first month). Then the 2nd she said something that offended me, which she uses as a whole point against me. And the 3rd one is while we came into quarantine and where we both made choices that could have made that discussion go way better and much shorter than it was. But the thing is. I had a wonderful 11 year long relationship before and that person completely loved me till the end, and nothing I ever did was seen in her as bad. And this new person who I had just a few discussions with, made her go 180 from me being the best thing that ever happened to her, to me being a negative person, me being not a harmonic person and she needs harmony she says. While I on the other hand never judged her for anything and knew in a healthy sense that just by talking about things would make things better and make us grow to eachother. That never happened because she was completely judgmental, and full with assumptions and never gave us the room to talk about it together. She fully avoided my every attempt from there on, did not talk to me, refused everything I said and said that it's her feelings and her reality. But o well. Im looking internally now at myself, and that's all I can do
Same, shit sucks, especially when you weren't able to see that person during all of quarantine and you get split over facetime. Doesn't help when you still have feelings for that person and would still love to be in that relationship. Time will eventually heal your pain but for me and most of you in this situation it is very very hard to see clearly. If you're wondering and because sharing and reading other people's stories makes you feel less lonely, we were together for a bit less than 3 years and she was my first love. We didn't split for bad reasons, she just felt as if she loved me as a friend and not a boyfriend. It definetely hurts since I feel otherwise and I do believe quarantine hasn't helped so I would just enjoy spending one last day with them and explaining how I feel, seeing if we just had a rough couple of months and can try to help each other or just simply crying in each others arms. It feels better knowing that I'm not alone in this and I wish that every one of you gets better over time. Just know that you are human and it is alright to feel horribly sad, but that doesn't make you a lesser person, in fact it makes you strong and makes you amazing.

I got broken up pretty harshly by my ex. Calling me names. Blocking me. And that actually is making it a lot harder for me I think because it hurt me a lot. We were together for about 8 months. I cared about her, still think about her even when I'm doing other things or talking to friends. I think for me if it was a calmer breakup with closure and reassurance I would have taken it much easier. Still very sad but I'd be able to come to peace with things a lot easier. Me and my ex was together for over 2 years. She started acting different suddenly and she out of nowhere lost feelings and broke up for me. Come to find out she was cheating talking to somebody else prior for 1 week before doing that. Same happened to me. We had a disagreement about something petty and went a week without talking. Tips that helped me get through: 1) hit the gym! It takes "the edge" of it, and if you get to #ResultCity and see the progress you´re making it will gradually feel even better. 2) Indefinite No Contact! Let them feel how life is without you, and let yourself feel what you h a v e to feel. Don´t postpone it! Let it come, grief, be sad, be angry, scream into a pillow, what ever you have to do to get it out of your system. (and understand that you will go back and forth emotionally, one day "bohohohooh" next day "meh, this isnt so bad?" third day "bohohoho" 3) Understand that it is o v e r, whatever you h a d is over the minute they said good-bye, but, that does NOT mean you won´t get back together again and start something n e w. It makes it alot easier not to fight for something that´s gone. Just realize it´s ok, and nothing is final. Maybe you get a second shot, maybe you won´t, but what you had is over. Leave the denial of the situation behind you. 4) Remove them from the pedistal, they are not better, they are not a god, you are not beneath them. You are equal. Understand how fantastic you - yes y o u are. 5) Understand the p o w e r you have. If your ex comes back y o u get to choose i f you want them back or not. If they don´t come back, either way become the greatest version of yourself you can be and get someone better, or, understand that you actually do not need anyone to be happy. 6) Read books. Whatever interest you have, read, it is calming for your mind to read 7) Work on the relationship that last for the rest of your life - the one with yourself. Become your own best friend, get comfortable with your thoughts, if its through praying, mindfulness or just doing what you love doing, be kind and loving to - y o u 8) Don´t fall for breadcrums and "false hope". If your ex write you a text, don´t take it as a sign they want to get back together, if they like a post on social media you put up, don´t read in to it! Stay strong and have a cool head, let them take the steps if they have that interest. 9) Talk with and too yourself, "vent", write down what you wish you had said to your ex, how they made you feel, and when you´re ready for it - burn the notes. 10) Realize you do not need closure, you don´t have to stand on top of a mountain and shout "I HEREBY LET GO OF MS (or mr) EX", no, closure is moving on with life, babysteps. 11) Do not get into a rebound, thats not fair to that person, and in the end, not fair to yourself either, in fact, it can make you feel worse. Date when you feel ready for it. You get your validation from your friends, family and collegues - and yourself 12) Take your time, and do not pressure yourself with trying to "rush it", healing takes time. 13) understand that your body has memories too, you can do a lot of work with your mind and thoughts, but, a smell trigger a memory, a touch trigger a memory, and you can feel like "I did all that work and I still get these flashbacks?". Your body also need to heal. 14) Listen to advice, but, take to heart what suits you, your situation is different from everyone elses. You "feel" in your gut what´s right for you. 15) What you feel, what you´re going through emotionally, is not unique, its millions of us out here! ;) and we all know - you´re going to heal, and you will one day look back at this and go: "hmh, what a waste of energy that was! Feeling that bad for THAT person?! What was I thinking?" It can actually turn out that this was a blessing in disguise - for you 16) Let go of fear, or rather feel the fear but push through it - thats what´s makes you brave. I can keep on going here, but I don´t think anyone will read this much text on youtube lol. One last: "just when the caterpillar thought that life was over - it turned into a butterfly" kinda cheesy, but, you will get stronger, you will g r o w

yeah, she broke up with me during quarantine. After 5 months. Thefirst 4 months where so incredibly wonderful from both ends that she literally said, that she want to be my woman forever, and go wherever I go, that Im literally the most beautiful person, that she loves my cooking and that she doesnt know how to live without and so much more. She literally was completely all over me. But she is also a very sensitive person, although I am too. But she had a horrible ex apparently, and she is anxious of people generally. And I was really a super positive person with lots of energy and passion and I gave her my heart and my love and my care. However. Not knowing all the downsides, we came in those 5 months in 3 confrontations (discussions I would say as that sounds much more positive).
In the first one she was overreacting while I tried to tell her something in the good for the relationship (right in the first month). Then the 2nd she said something that offended me, which she uses as a whole point against me. And the 3rd one is while we came into quarantine and where we both made choices that could have made that discussion go way better and much shorter than it was. But the thing is. I had a wonderful 11 year long relationship before and that person completely loved me till the end, and nothing I ever did was seen in her as bad. And this new person who I had just a few discussions with, made her go 180 from me being the best thing that ever happened to her, to me being a negative person, me being not a harmonic person and she needs harmony she says. While I on the other hand never judged her for anything and knew in a healthy sense that just by talking about things would make things better and make us grow to eachother. That never happened because she was completely judgmental, and full with assumptions and never gave us the room to talk about it together. She fully avoided my every attempt from there on, did not talk to me, refused everything I said and said that it's her feelings and her reality.
But o well. Im looking internally now at myself, and that's all I can do

Same, shit sucks, especially when you weren't able to see that person during all of quarantine and you get split over facetime. Doesn't help when you still have feelings for that person and would still love to be in that relationship. Time will eventually heal your pain but for me and most of you in this situation it is very very hard to see clearly. If you're wondering and because sharing and reading other people's stories makes you feel less lonely, we were together for a bit less than 3 years and she was my first love. We didn't split for bad reasons, she just felt as if she loved me as a friend and not a boyfriend. It definetely hurts since I feel otherwise and I do believe quarantine hasn't helped so I would just enjoy spending one last day with them and explaining how I feel, seeing if we just had a rough couple of months and can try to help each other or just simply crying in each others arms. It feels better knowing that I'm not alone in this and I wish that every one of you gets better over time. Just know that you are human and it is alright to feel horribly sad, but that doesn't make you a lesser person, in fact it makes you strong and makes you amazing.

I think for me if it was a calmer breakup with closure and reassurance I would have taken it much easier. Still very sad but I'd be able to come to peace with things a lot easier. Me and my ex was together for over 2 years. She started acting different suddenly and she out of nowhere lost feelings and broke up for me. Two years down the drain over someone new he met during our 1 week off from talking. I was crushed! A month later come to find out it didn’t work out with her and he tried to woo his way back to me. I miss what we had, but I can’t accept him back. Had to move on but even four months later, it still hurts. I keep telling myself, it will get easier one day. I hope you’re doing much better.

Tips that helped me get through:
1) hit the gym! It takes "the edge" of it, and if you get to #ResultCity and see the progress you´re making it will gradually feel even better.
2) Indefinite No Contact! Let them feel how life is without you, and let yourself feel what you h a v e to feel. Don´t postpone it! Let it come, grief, be sad, be angry, scream into a pillow, what ever you have to do to get it out of your system. (and understand that you will go back and forth emotionally, one day "bohohohooh" next day "meh, this isnt so bad?" third day "bohohoho"
3) Understand that it is o v e r, whatever you h a d is over the minute they said good-bye, but, that does NOT mean you won´t get back together again and start something n e w. It makes it alot easier not to fight for something that´s gone. Just realize it´s ok, and nothing is final. Maybe you get a second shot, maybe you won´t, but what you had is over. Leave the denial of the situation behind you.
4) Remove them from the pedistal, they are not better, they are not a god, you are not beneath them. You are equal. Understand how fantastic you - yes y o u are.
5) Understand the p o w e r you have. If your ex comes back y o u get to choose i f you want them back or not. If they don´t come back, either way become the greatest version of yourself you can be and get someone better, or, understand that you actually do not need anyone to be happy.
6) Read books. Whatever interest you have, read, it is calming for your mind to read
7) Work on the relationship that last for the rest of your life - the one with yourself. Become your own best friend, get comfortable with your thoughts, if its through praying, mindfulness or just doing what you love doing, be kind and loving to - y o u
8) Don´t fall for breadcrums and "false hope". If your ex write you a text, don´t take it as a sign they want to get back together, if they like a post on social media you put up, don´t read in to it! Stay strong and have a cool head, let them take the steps if they have that interest.
9) Talk with and too yourself, "vent", write down what you wish you had said to your ex, how they made you feel, and when you´re ready for it - burn the notes.
10) Realize you do not need closure, you don´t have to stand on top of a mountain and shout "I HEREBY LET GO OF MS (or mr) EX", no, closure is moving on with life, babysteps.
11) Do not get into a rebound, thats not fair to that person, and in the end, not fair to yourself either, in fact, it can make you feel worse. Date when you feel ready for it. You get your validation from your friends, family and collegues - and yourself
12) Take your time, and do not pressure yourself with trying to "rush it", healing takes time.
13) understand that your body has memories too, you can do a lot of work with your mind and thoughts, but, a smell trigger a memory, a touch trigger a memory, and you can feel like "I did all that work and I still get these flashbacks?". Your body also need to heal.
14) Listen to advice, but, take to heart what suits you, your situation is different from everyone elses. You "feel" in your gut what´s right for you.
15) What you feel, what you´re going through emotionally, is not unique, its millions of us out here! ;) and we all know - you´re going to heal, and you will one day look back at this and go: "hmh, what a waste of energy that was! Feeling that bad for THAT person?! What was I thinking?" It can actually turn out that this was a blessing in disguise - for you
16) Let go of fear, or rather feel the fear but push through it - thats what´s makes you brave.
I can keep on going here, but I don´t think anyone will read this much text on youtube lol. One last:

You feel lost, lonelier than ever and insecure. its normal, it w i l l pass. For some of us its gradual, for others it's more of a "chunk" of healing. Either way, it takes time to rebuild yourself again, but as you're reading this, you're in fact healing. No storm lasts forever, neither does these feelings you have right now. I know it might be hard to imagine, but trust me.
- change is always difficult in the beginning, especially a forced change. Don't be too hard on yourself, it wasn't all your fault, its always two in a relationship. You blame yourself for everything, but with time you will get perspective, your self-esteem will come back bit by bit and that pedestal will begin to fade, you will see the entire relationship with clarity and you will think "wait a minute? he/she said this and that? did this and that! Me and my ex ended horribly but now we're just friends (again) and I trust him. He is a close friend of mine. He and I work much, much better as close friends than a couple. I used to despise him for dumping me thinking I did nothing when in fact I was a horrible girlfriend and him dumping me was a decision that was good for both of us. He is a great guy, he wasn't in the wrong in our relationship. I was way to clingy and it was unhealthy. I learned a lot from that relationship and break up. I'm a better person because of it. If I stayed away from him after he dumped me I would have never realized that. I guess it really depends on the person.

I recently broke up w my bf because he didn't act like he loved me at all, spoke to other ppl, ignored me, didn't show any affection and all constant efforts to talk things out proved unsuccessful and i finally broke up with him cause, even tho it rlly hurt to do so, it hurt more to stay in the relationship.
