Absolutely love Moab!!! Hiked Arches and Canyonlands in June, last year. So mesmerizing and life changing! Heading to Bryce Canyon in 3 weeks for another solo hike!
Isn't it amazing?! You are absolutely right -- completely mesmerizing and life-changing! Our first trip to Utah was the exact start of us deciding to move to Colorado. It was Utah that pushed us to finally make the move we've always wanted -- life-changing for the best. Have an amazing time in Bryce Canyon!!
Such an amazing part of the country! We were out that ways last year and absolutely loved it! It's pretty cool you were able to see it with some snow too, I feel like the red rocks, with the white snow and the blue sky must be so pretty to see in person! Great video Jeanie, keep up the great work! 😊
Ahh!! Thanks so much! The snowcapped mountains as a backdrop was absolutely breathtaking. We may just make this an annual winter trip. It's just so beautiful with the added bonus of no crowds! Thanks for watching 💕
Just discovered your delightful videos! You're wonderful and appreciate the reminder of my 1 week trip to Moab this April.....I agree with you about not going during the crowded season! I think I will return in winter. Thanks for the education, too.....from one Coloradoan to another. God bless!
Thank you so much for the kind words! And yes, we plan to get back there again this winter...it's so nice going during the non busy season! Thanks for watching!
Have an amazing time! I would check the "All Trails" app for dog-friendly trails - we don't have a dog, so that's nothing I really pay attention to. But I'm sure there are a ton of great options for you! Thanks for watching!!
The road is pronounced Pot Ash. Named after the potash mine and evaporation ponds. The more brown/red the pond is, the closer it is to harvesting the potassium from it
Great video. You packed a ton into 2 days! Fun fact, near the end of your video, 11:40 Landscape Arch was supposed to be called Delicate Arch- they made a clerical error. I've been to Moab about 6 times- going back again very soon. Next visit, check out Morning Glory Arch. You should also rent a SxS and head out to Chicken Corners and don't miss a tour of Hell's Revenge. It can be a little intimidating for most people to drive it themselves if they have never been there before. Visiting in January is great but early/mid March is generally nicer- prices jump up a bit however it is much warmer and less issues with snow. We mostly like to explore the countless trails and canyons and it can be tricky (or closed) when there is snow.
Where's the most economical place to stay with clean rooms. Will visit arches that are closest to parking spots only. Will do stargazing of course then leave early next day. Thanks
Hi. Thanks for the tips. I would like to ask what brand of pants you are wearing? My husband and I are planning on going around Christmas time, and I don't know what would be the best attire to be able to move freely while we hike and yet not be freezing. We are from south FL. Thank you in advance for your suggestions. Thank you as well for so much info in just two days. We are really looking forward to getting out to Moab after trying to plan the trip for 3 years now.
@Jeanie Marie 😲 I've been looking at these for a while!! I love that brand! Thank you so much for all the info. Really looking forward to visiting Arches NP 😊. Can't wait to visit all the beautiful locations. You have given me some great homework to complete before the trip. And I get to do in amazing weather comfortably. 🤗🤗❤️❤️
Hi I would love some tips! My family and I are going to visit Moab this spring and we would love to see some beautiful places.... the problem is I am very afraid of heights, and most of the youtube videos I watch about different hikes/parks etc. make me so nervous (and i really want to enjoy myself lol). Are there any pretty areas/hikes we can visit for someone like me??
I've been to Moab many times and I keep coming back to do new things. Moab is very crowded these days, too crowded to really enjoy it, but I still come back. (I was in Moab 2 times last year and 3 times the year before.) You talk about not having cell service to look at maps- it is very inexpensive and well worth it to pay the subscription fee for GAIA gps. Put the app on your phone, download maps for the area where you are going, and you will always have accurate maps of where you are.
@@JeanieMarie The earliest I've been is beginning of March and it was getting very busy then. It was also very cold- we got snowed on one day and sleeted on another day. I don't handle the cold as well as you do.
Two days is tight for a Moab trip, but you can cover it fairly well in three. Day 1: Arches, finishing up in Moab for dinner. Day 2: Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point State Park, which combine very well. Day 3: Drive the Hwy 128 scenic route, hike to Corona Arch and do other awesome stuff around town, most of which is free.

We miss Moab so much. Did you eat at Dough Bird? Best donut ever. Was closed when we tried to go there for chicken.
Moab is awesome! Plan on going back many more times in my life. We didn't make it there...it was closed for the season...so next time, hopefully!

Have you ever stayed in an AirBNB? I love AirBNB! I don't stay in hotels anymore.

Oh you missed so much- you could easily spend 1 or 2 weeks there and just scratch the surface. I can't add up how many weeks I've spent there.

I'm sure.
Have you ever visited Monument Valley?

PS don’t drive The Schafer Trail in a Dodge Ram, it doesn’t fit around the hairpins.
