    Good review. Thanks. I've had the 10k for about 18months now (perhaps the first pair in the UK I brought back here from the States :) I primarily use them for ELR, and used off a bipod I have never failed to get a reading on any reflective target out to around 4000m. They just do the business. I'm sure you won't regret carrying them for your customers. (Oh & btw, they do have a mounting point for a standard 90° elbow type binocular tripod adapter... just screw off the wee cap from the distal end of the centre hinge where you'll find the ¼in female. Works a treat... ;))

    I’m looking to get my first rangefinder. I’ve settled that binos are the way to go for dual use for hunting and long range shooting. At the Sig KIlo 6k price point, is there a better option? Only really aware of the vortex fury or the Burris HD LRF. Any other options and would Sig be the best option?

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  4 месяца назад +1

      I do think the 6Ks are the best option at that price point and are significantly better than the ones you mentioned.
      The LRF and ballistic features are great and you’d have to spend a lot more to get better optical clarity. I’ve been disappointed in Sig optics in the past but they got this one right.
      If you decide to go with those and order from us, we can cover the taxes.

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  10 месяцев назад +4

      Yeah, I’m going to get one to review. My personal thoughts though are that I’m not a fan of LRFs mounted to a rifle. Really limits your use. It has to be zeroed to that rifle and has no versatility. It’s like the Wilcox before it. Everyone thought it was great then realized it was pretty impractical. You can’t even handhold to laze targets. You’re stuck with it on one rifle and that requires a setup process for it to work properly.

    John Walsh had a good question- do you still need to get or have a Kestrel with the 10k

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  10 месяцев назад +2

      No. The idea is they do everything the Kestrel Elite does. Updates the ballistic solution with environmental changes and distance with every target laze and then provides that in the heads up display.

    • @commonsense5709
      @commonsense5709 9 месяцев назад

      SIG are disposable throw away RF binoculars because SIG has no plans to offer repairs past their limited 5 year warranty and chances is the warranty may be already expired since it's from date of manufacture not date of actual purchase.
      Vortex has a lifetime warranty including their electronics so they will never become obsolete.

    • @justsnuggle
      @justsnuggle 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@commonsense5709 i-1000% agree. But you can't argue when sig is the one that's available, and has a pretty good feature set for the price. I think I just saw the 6K go on sale for $800 compared to the vortex rolling around 1300. But that's why I want the comparison because if the vortex has much better glass quality and features then the extra price is worth it when you include the excellent warranty.

  • @KevinWood44
    @KevinWood44 10 месяцев назад +2

    I heard Sig has BY FAR the best laser but horrendous optics/glass. Leica basically the opposite (amazing glass but just a decent laser) and Vortex is somewhere in between with both. Is this accurate?

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  10 месяцев назад +1

      The 6K HD has extremely good clarity/glass quality. Surprisingly impressive. I’ve looked through the Leica geovid, I’d need a Leica to look through side by side but I’d bet it’s close.

      @KevinWood44 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@paramounttactical Hmm No shit?? I guess it also depends what you are using it for. If it is also your binos you want/need better glass, but if you just need to range targets who really cares about the glass?
      I am looking for a higher end RF (compared to current Leupold) and it is a very tough call. I want a ballstic RF so Im looking at the Leica 2800, the Vortex 5000 and the Sig. Not an easy call. Thanks for the video...and info
