it would be interesting seeing a comparison between Regular Empire, remnants and blizzard force, the strengths and differences between each subset of Empire builds!!!
My top 5 : 1) Vador commander 2) Speeder Bikes (for the design and the mobility) 3) Scout troopers (for their look) 4) Stormtroopers (for their big white dice pool) 5) Dewbacks (for the look)
@@seb2750 for storms -> T-21 (for Critical 2) + targeting scopes (to re-roll up to 4 white dice among 8 And for Scouts -> Up close and Personal (because they shoot at range 2 anyway) + emergency stims (to make them worth it longer)
I remember my friend would often run 1-2 AT-STs while I only had access to Grievous, B1s, and droidekas. Fighting those things in the early days of the clone wars waves was terrifying.
@@viityazz9466 Used to be they were even pricier, as were their upgrades. I am saving 14 pts now for the same loadout as when they first came out. Not insignificant.
I too love Death troopers! But I feel like I can't quite figure out how to use the speeder bikes. They just dissolve in the first few rounds every time I use them.
8:43- I love Iden!!! I use her a lot in army lists in both 800 point games and 1,200 point lists (I always prefer playing a 1,200 point game if I have the time and someone that also has the time and ability to play it)!!! This one I don’t really need advice about because I know what she can do!
17:45- The greatest Sith in this game (so far)!!! I love Darth Vader but I have not used him since the last two changes to the game! He is really good (if) you can get him up close and personal with the enemy. But it does take a while to get him there. Unless you use one of his spots for “burst of speed”. But that would limit how I use to use him. And what’s this thing about “force choke” not being a thing anymore?!? I’ve looked it up the last time you mentioned it and the only information I could find was that it just cost 5 points more than it use to!?! That’s annoying but that doesn’t make it worthless!!! I asked this also back then also and either never got a response or just wasn’t notified about it!!! If I remember what video it was I could check for it like that……. Anyways, I like Vader but he still cost a lot when you include his extra cards onto the full cost and slow. Plus he is the “strongest Sith Lord” of this game so far. He should be a lot more powerful……. at least with his attacks. If not anything else. Who else uses this monster? And what kind of list do you build around him?
I love 1. Death Troopers, but just like how they were used post Rouge One, they are extremely under whelming. 2. Shore Troopers(I just like Rouge One), 3. General Veers, he got replaced by imperial officer, but not on my heart, 4. Cad Bane, I use him in my sep list to spice it up because with my local meta, you have to hard counter 5. Vader, purely out of respect and genuine fear. I loathe him, but I am slowly getting better at countering Blizzard Force
I love Stormtroopers, they are what I've played mostly in my Imperial lists and there the classic frontline holder, pretty cheap, and have pretty great upgrade options. I made a 501st Trooper squad and nicknamed them "Triton Squad" and with their red saves they became a stubborn wall against almost any rebel firepower. I'm more of a Republic player who is familiar with the phase 2 trooper horde.
Dewbacks have been an awesome part of Star Wars since their first appearance in the movies. I've just started collecting, but they will definitely have a spot on my painting area.
I haven’t used Iden or Palpatine yet. But the others would rank highly for me as well. I do love rolling up with a squad of snow troopers and then barbecuing some pesky rebels.
As the Emperor says, "DO IT." LOL I am 38 and I got into Legion 10 months ago; it's literally the best thing I've done in at least a decade. I hope you join us in this great hobby. Buy your favorite character first; just one purchase, and see how you feel. I bet you'll find your way to all the fun and challenges like the rest of us did haha.
After watching this, I had to add that I also enjoy the snowtroopers, in fact, they are the reason that I got into the game. They are fun to paint and also fun to play.
Shoretroopers, decent base rifle, vet ability. so good. but I just got snowtroopers, and they are fun, will be putting them in my lists regularly for now
Everything on your list is what I would put on my “1,200 point list”! But not my 800 point lists!!! I like more units than more expansions units. It has been a long time since I’ve made a 800 point list for the Empire but this is what I mainly run! 800 point list without mentioning the add on cards: Iden Versio Krennic or Agent Kallus Boba Fett (sometimes) (3) Stormtrooper units (2) Snow trooper units with flamers (At least 1) Full Scout trooper unit Inferno Squad with Del (normally) (1) SF squid And depending on if I know what my opponent is running or how I want to play the game that will determine what else I’ll add. I like Death troopers but they are way over priced right now! That needs to go down at the least 15-20 points before I run them again in a 800 point army. I’m going to go and spell check everything and come back. Because I’m 90% certain I misspelled a lot and I didn’t remember what something else is called! Edit: I actually didn’t do as bad as I was thinking I did with spelling. This is already long enough so I won’t add my 1,200 point list. But like I’ve said before, I prefer to play those games!
I like the Occupier Tank, if only because there are very few actual "tank" tanks (as in tread-propelled) in the Star Wars franchise. Win, lose, whatever - I’m doing it with a tank. The AT-ST is my second best fave in Imperial vehicles.
Rite Let's go my favourite units for each rank for the Empire! Commander: Agent Kallus - Not the strongest Commander out there but I've always liked Kallus, he's got Contingencies and Cunning and I love to run him with Bounty Hunters. Though a bit gutted that there isn't a rebel option for him yet as his story arch in rebels was one of my favourite parts of that series, still not as good as Clone Wars though 😅😜 Operative: Bossk - While Boba got a nice upgrade from where he started, I think from the get go Bossk was a solid Bounty Hunter pick and I've ran him with Kallus many times over the years. Core: Snowtroopers - All way's liked them even before Blizzard Force, even before special forces gave us Gideon Hask as another solid upgrade option for them. Special Forces: Imperial Death Troopers - They're just so good at all ranges they are so much fun and very versatile. Support: E-Web - I have three of them and they're just great, they work well with Shoretroopers and the Gav tank and even outside of Blizzardforce they are a solid unit for putting out suppression Heavy: Gav Tank - Yeah maybe not as good as the ATST but I loved Rogue One, it's my favourite Star Wars movie, and the scene with this in it was great. Rite on with the video!
14:38- I love using the AT-ST in 1,200 point lists!!! Not so much 800 point lists though. Uses up a lot of points and for most games you can’t even get game points to win. It does dominate but unfortunately if your opponent knows and has played against it before already then their not going to waste any effort into taking it down. So that takes away one of the benefits. I would like to see how 2 of them in a 1,200 point list runs!?! I don’t understand how people play a 800 point game with 2 or even 3 of them in a game!?! That just sounds insane to me
7:15- I have one of these fully built and painted but I’ve never used them in game yet!!! No real reason. Just never think of it when building a army Edit: Anyone know what’s good with this guy? What list he works good with and what weapons are best for him?
@kajn3206 před 1 sekundou the worst is when I'm all Snow trip rum, so dreadlocks can also be used Shots will climb out of cover to shoot and hide again There was one problem with the at-st, a friend was playing against a snowspeder and he kept turning it.
Dewback were one of one of my favorite figures to paint. Shore troopers were also fun to paint. I liked their look in the movie. I love seeing a LAAT on the field, but you’re right, the AT-ST dominates. Is it really breaking the rules when you are making the rules?
Can’t not include Kallus in my lists! He’s come such a far way since he first came out is amazing to see! His 2 pip command card is one of my personal favourites!
Let me start off by saying I’m sorry this is very long! I’m trying to answer all the questions I think will come up with this comment right off the bat! Instead of someone asking these questions and never getting a answer because I’m only notified about 25% of the time from RUclips! It’s annoying when I get a notification saying someone just replied to one of my comments and when I get there to read it it’s actually 1 of 5 different replies that I’ve received and didn’t know about from months and months ago and the last one I got was someone pissed that I never relayed to their other ones!!! Anyways, if you can’t handle long comments then just skip this! No one is making you read it nor is anyone making you comment about how long it is either!!! 13:13- I’m sorry but that’s not a “free attack”! By definition a “free attack” is when you have already attacked this turn and then you have the option to attack again!!! It’s actually a free “move” action if and only if you attack! I know some people will understand what you mean but only because they have do it before and/or they have had to deal with it before. But for the sake of new or newer players you should be wording it correctly. Obviously you can do what you want and I know you will but if your reasons are still the same for why this channel exists you should be trying to help new players. Not hinder them! I can’t even tell you how many games ended up being a loss cause after the 2nd or 3rd round because I learned something incorrectly from this or another SWL channel. And what I mean by that is that I had a game plan going in but once I realized that what I thought I could do with certain units was wrong my game plan was dead and because those units were now either too far out in the battle (unprotected) or way too far back to be helpful until the end of the 4th round or the 5th round the game was pretty much lost. And yes, I know other people are good enough that they can come up with a new strategy on the fly and still win I’m not that good yet! I’m still learning. But it’s hard to do that when a lot of the rules change every 2 or more years! Not to mention I’m a very slow reader and it’s hard for me to retain the information (because of my learning disability’s)!
I just need to get my first minis (the blizzard force box) so can I get any suggestions for that 3 units of snow troopers. Is it possible to made 4 small units and what of equipment to put in units ? Thank you
Like your list, but i personaly have a huge problem with Vader. I like him lorewise, but i think in the tabletop he is absolutly toxic and way to strong (ruleswise). That's interesting for sure. However I feel like Kallus' Contingencies may not be utilized quite as well in a list like that, unless you add another character with command cards... and then you really get expensive.
Are inferno squad or imperial special forces good? I'm probably going to get them for rule of cool anyways, but if anyone has advice on how to use them, I'd appreciate it
how on earth can you say that Iden has gotten better, they basically increased her cost by 50 points if you want to use one of her most game defining keywords(Covert Ops) and at the same time changed the rules with objectives meaning even if she uses this overcosted keyword she can't even start touching an objective. Iden has actually dropped a crap ton in playability since the new CRB
The shorter version of my last comment 13:13- you do not get a “free attack”!!! You can’t attack, move and then attack! It’s a “free move” if you just attacked. Please start wording these better!?! Thanks!
15:50- “8 armor”?!? Um, what?!? Is that a new rule change? Where instead of all hits go away it’s now up to 8 hits goes away. And then the rest go through!?! Or is this one of those “you worded it wrong”again? Maybe you just misspoke and didn’t acknowledge that that’s what just happened!?!
My top five: Stormtroopers (mine are Tatooine themed) Scout Trooper Snipers Dewback Riders At-St And of course, Darth Vader. Bonus: Boba Fett Bounty Hunter.
My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they’ve set me on a path from which there is no escape.
I’m condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else’s future. I burn my life, to make a sunrise that I know I’ll never see. No, the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror, or an audience, or the light of gratitude.

It's so hard to play Empire and not include Vader. He is just so iconic.
Also he's our only light saber toting maniac. I usually feel I have to bring him to stand a chance against other force users. :P
Luckily you can have him as commander or operative, so lots of options
So iconic and very strong now. He used to be trash so it's just awesome to have him be great as he should be

5:07- I love Palps but he needs way more health for his cost!!!
I've been playing with Op Vader before he got buffed and before Empire was good. Now my go to is to start my build with Op Vader and 2 Black Suns.
Currently playing Republic and loving it but I'm excited to run Empire when it's finished

I will be playing empire for the first time next week with Agent Kallus! I'm so excited for more Star Wars Rebels content to reach Star Ware Legion.

sup my man love the content and has defiantly helped me start my republic army
They did really good with the models for legion!
The dark troopers have been crazy to work with, specially when with a LAAT
I enjoy Bossk! And of course meta speederbikes but they are just too iconic and fun to blast across the board to not take.
I love playing empire but I've been recently expanding to the Republic
I cant wait to try tempest force, I just need another at-st
No surprise to see Vader and big pappa palps. The empire is the empire because of them

I’m a big fan of Bossk, I have a hard time not bringing him in when playing against rebels
Boba fett. Not because he is one of the best right now, but because he was a blast to paint.

Kallus is on my list
My fav is ch is starkiller what do you think of him?
I'm theory-crafting an Empire list right now - what's your opinion of Krennic with Kallus for potentially 6 turns of Cunning?
That's interesting for sure. However I feel like Kallus' Contingencies may not be utilized quite as well in a list like that, unless you add another character with command cards... and then you really get expensive.
Are inferno squad or imperial special forces good? I'm probably going to get them for rule of cool anyways, but if anyone has advice on how to use them, I'd appreciate it
3 squads of special forces lead by Iden - rule of cool :) allows for a massive alpha strike overwhelming attack.
Gotta love Vader

Don’t play this game but it looks sick.
