That is literally his name in the comics: Angel, and he's one of the founding members of the X-Men. The one guy that Magneto frees from the convoy is known as Multiple Man, and he's a lot more dangerous than this film shows. His 'dupes' are completely independent and have the same powers as he does, however as he is the "Prime" he can reabsorb them at will, also gaining all of their skills and memories in the process. He creates a dupe via kinetic energy, whether that be by being slapped/punched, snapping his fingers, or stomping a foot. He can also kill someone instantly by shoving a hand in their mouth and creating a duplicate inside them, exploding them from the inside out. The body that Charles was showcasing to his class and talking about the ethics of consciousness transfer was that of his twin brother, who was rendered essentially braindead in the womb due to Charles' mutation overwhelming his mind. Charles transferred his own psyche into his brother just before he died, which is why he says hello to Moira McTaggert at the end.
@@kevinnorwood8782He became the Archangel when during the "Mutant Massacre" incident his wings are crippled and become gangrenous, so he gets them amputated, and then Apocalypse kidnaps him and offers to restore his wings in exchange for serving him as one of his Four Horsemen, to which he agrees. Stranger Things is MAJORLY influenced by X-MEN and the Phoenix Saga, with Eleven obviously being the Jean Grey. In episode 1 of ST, before Will gets taken, he and Dustin are racing for an X-MEN comic; specifically, his X-MEN 134. That comic is the beginning of The Phoenix Saga. I even had a tee that was made up of comic book versions of the ST cast comprising the exact cover of that comic book. It's brilliant.
Jean herself is beyond stronge amd with phoenix...she is in another level...she has the power to do anything she wants...destroy, create( universes... everything)
It's actually kinda funny since the comics state that the Phoenix actually limited her powers some. Jean is stronger without tapping into the Phoenix side
The obvious connection between Charles and Eric is fascinating because a common interpretation of the characters is Charles as MLK and Eric as Malcolm X. Opposite sides of the same coin.
Magneto being so ungrateful towards Mystique was awful omg and RIGHT they had the gun w the antidote ???? I just love the X-men dynamic yk bout discrimination and everything. Glad you liked The last stand I did like it too ❤️
I think that moment was meant to emphasize how vile Magento's hatred towards humans is! Even when he was injected with the cure, he was so disgusted with himself he was pretty much dead inside. He put so much pride in himself for being a mutant, that if any were to convert into being a human he will abandon you no matter how loyal you were. When it applies to myself, his mutation is what literally defines him where he is literally nothing without his powers and if he loses that, he's NOTHING.

I saw this movie in theaters when it first came out and I had no idea that post-credit scene was even a thing. They weren't really doing that back then
You’re actually more right than you think about Wolverine’s healing ability making him so dangerous, because there’s another facet to it. If Wolverine takes too much continuous damage in a short amount of time, his healing factor goes into overdrive and makes him temporarily invulnerable for a short period. But as a side effect, he goes completely berserk while he’s in this state and can’t tell friend from foe. “He’s lost in some kind of berserker rage and now he can’t feel the pain anymore!” -The X-Men anime series from Studio Madhouse.
People shouldn't blame Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn for stuffing so many characters in this movie That was probably AVI ARAD's call so he could sell more toys
I like all the XMEN movies because they are all part of the stories. I have to laugh at comments saying they did one or that one wrong like you could make a movie that would satisfy all the comic books. I enjoyed this one a lot as well as the Dark Phoenix. The undertaking that it takes to bring any comic to life is a massive undertaking. I appreciate them all. I am with you both, a great movie.
04:18 In the comics that's Charles twin brother, before his body got desintegrated by Jean he moved his mind in his brother body, to bad that thia movie and the next ones will not explain this
Technically, this isn't over yet 😊. When you get to "The Wolverine" it picks up where this movie ends, years later of course. I am sure everyone in the comments will give you both the timeline of the next X-Men movies. Looking forward to seeing the reaction for Wolverine and "Days of Future Past." I will recommend that when you get to Days of Future Past, watch the "Rogue version" as opposed to the theatrical version. The original theatrical version had cut out all of Rogue's scenes, the Rogue version is much better in my opinion. All in all, great reaction you 2. Looking forward to your next one. I will promote your channel once my official trademarks go through and I launch my platform 😊
Growing up (yep I'm an old boomer fart) with the comics, "The High Flying Angel" (Warren Worthington) was always my favorite. Beast (not blue back then) was next and Ice man. Storm grew on me and so did Cyclops. I never knew until these movies that Jean Grey was the Phoenix. I also never got into Magneto and Mystique until this movie series. Great reaction as usual guys... keep watching these... you'll love it!
Such a great series! This one certainly had the most "all out" action of any superhero movie so far. I do think it suffered a bit from executive meddling, putting two major storylines into a single film. This could easily have been *either* Dark Phoenix or The Cure but it didn't need to be both.
Professor x post-credit scene explanation: in the womb Charles had a twin which he absorbed the consciousness of which gave him enhanced brain activity leading to his telepathy and caused his twin to be a vegetable. Charles had his twin put on life support so in the event of his death he could transfer his consciousness into the twin's absent-minded body in which was what we saw in the post-credit scene
Rogue powers don’t suck the movie just uses her as a sucky character but she actually one of the greatest say if she holds on to icemen long enough he would die yes but she will have his powers
I like seeing blind reactions from first timers. A lot of people dislike this movie and try to ruin others reactions with their opinions but I’ve seen people actually enjoy this film by watching it on their own without going in with that mindset from others
great reaction as always…so I don’t remember where I read/heard this comparison..but it’s on how the ideology and approach of Prof. X & Magneto characters were inspired by MLK & Malcom X…(MLK/Prof X and Malcolm X/Magneto)…I find the parallels kinda on point!
The end credits scene of Xavier is that he had a twin brother that he caused him to miscarriage but not killed. He was left brain dead or damaged. His twin was in England being taken care of by Moira MacTaggert. She is a part of a group based in England called Excalibur. This group is a cross between the Avengers and the X-men but funded by the government. It’s lead by Captain Britain. This is why when we saw Marvel’s What If ? where Captain Carter was going by Captain Carter and not Captain Britain because there was already a character that was a British version of Captain America just a mutant. Anyway when Xavier was disintegrated he sent his conscience to his twin brother’s body. This would have been explained in the next movie and we would have met Excalibur. But this movie didn’t do as well as Fox would have liked so they decided to go in a different direction.
Just wanted to share a few things. First magneto and professor x are based off of Malcolm x and Martin Luther King. The mutants are based off of black people during the civil rights era. Also magneto is Wanda's and quicksilver's dad!
FYI: Beast wasn't born with blue hair and skin. It wasn't even part of his original mutation. His mutation (beastly size, strength and dexterity) mutated further to alter his appearance. In other words, he knew he was born Caucasian.
The Phoenix (jean is the main host) is the entity of life and destruction. Straight chaos like you said but stable chaos if it makes sense ? Sw and Phoenix are like the yin Yang of powers as the strongest entity in this universe tho. Because regardless Phoenix is the most powerful entity of every universe multiverse and everything and more. Cant wait for mcu to actually exploit the Phoenix right and NOT kill it once it gets release but give us the Avengers vs X-men story 🙏🏽🧿🤍 The Phoenix can be somehow control when Jean becomes the white Phoenix but beside that ! The xmen mansion is in Victoria British Columbia. Known as Hatley Castle it is one of Lord Dunsmires Castles (an coal barron). It was later turned into Royal Roads Military Academy; it is now Royal Roads University.
Not the glare during “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” 😂😂 you kill me girl
Yeahhhh nice!!! i was really looking forward to that 🤩 made my day again
much love and big greetings from austria 🇦🇹
“Dang so that means we’ll get no more Mystique”
Oh boy
Phoenix and The Scarlet Witch are like Yin and Yang lol it’s not random that she reminds you of Wanda 😂
Before Stan Lee, appears Chris Claremont, the screenwriter who made the most iconic adventures of the X-men for 16 years
Shoshana got it! lol Do you know how many reactors were LOST about Xavier's consciousness? lol Im so happy you guys continue the X-Men journey because its not just ya'll that is getting great entertainment, we all too. DId you guys not recognize Juggernaut tho? lol
So much Lore to this franchise.... Can't wait for the reveals of certain connections to come across your faces...I grew up with the Cartoon... there is sooo many mutant powers and good villains.
Everytime I see your introductions the first thing that pops in my head is Au revoir Shoshanna! Lol (from inglorious bastards)
The girl who can walk through walls is the same person from The umbrella academy
I just subscribed. Y’all have a very listenable approach and nice easy voices.
I saw this movie in theaters when it first came out and I had no idea that post-credit scene was even a thing. They weren't really doing that back then
X-Men first class,X-men Days of Futures Past, and Logan are MUST WATCHES
Magneto is top tier vilain
8:57 That Was Optic Rage
Great reaction y'all!
If you think this 1 was great wait until you see Days of Futures Past!
I always thought Jean Grey was one of the most OP mutants ever. Which is why she couldn’t control it
People shouldn't blame Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn for stuffing so many characters in this movie
That was probably AVI ARAD's call so he could sell more toys
and Tom Rothman at Fox who hated this property and kept slashing the budget and cutting scenes that would have developed Jean Grey/Phoenix further
Fun fact in the comics juggernaut is not really a mutant he got his powers from a primordial god of magic and him and Charles are half brothers
Looking forward to seeing the reaction for Wolverine and "Days of Future Past."
I will recommend that when you get to Days of Future Past, watch the "Rogue version" as opposed to the theatrical version.
This is the best series X Men we stand together
If I were a mutant... I'd be on Magneto's side
Such a great series! This one certainly had the most "all out" action of any superhero movie so far. I do think it suffered a bit from executive meddling, putting two major storylines into a single film. This could easily have been *either* Dark Phoenix or The Cure but it didn't need to be both.
In the comics storm was married to Black Panther
Her and scarlet witch are like ying and yang. One can’t defeat the other 😊. Hope this helps
A lie
Almost 2 months since the last X-Men movie...
Love yall channel and reactions. NGL though, yall give me “Get Out” movie vibes 😂 She looks similar & so do you. I just thought it was funny lol 😎
That head cut off scene was from the cartoon series
X-Men ‘97 (or X-Men: The Animated Series season six) is now streaming. Seasons 7 and 8 are in development.
I like seeing blind reactions from first timers. A lot of people dislike this movie and try to ruin others reactions with their opinions but I’ve seen people actually enjoy this film by watching it on their own without going in with that mindset from others
she cant take powers away but she can suppress his laser eyes some how.. idk how she dos it. love the vid though hope to see more!!
great reaction as always…so I don’t remember where I read/heard this comparison..but it’s on how the ideology and approach of Prof.
The dopest part is the it’s based on the civil rights movement with Malcom x and MLK 🫡
Yes X Men The Last Stand is nice 😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊
Cant wait for the best of the franchise Days Of Future past
Cant wait for mcu to actually exploit the Phoenix right and NOT kill it once it gets release but give us the Avengers vs X-men story 🙏🏽🧿🤍
The Phoenix can be somehow control when Jean becomes the white Phoenix but beside that ! They can’t control it hhh🫠
This was my favorite as a kid 🤷♂️
Scarlet Witch and Phoenix are the most powerful mutants, the absolute Omega of their respective groups. Last I checked, Scarlet Witch was the most powerful.
not in live action she isn"t and scarlet witch isnt mutant
@@nina_4800 Did you watch Wandavision? That it was revealed she's a mutant? I'm not talking comics, I'm talking films and series. Also, Pietro amd Wanda are Magneto's kids, as is Polaris, half-sister to Wanda. So, yes, she is a mutant.
@@themetalchicaI did watch and it was never revealed what series did u watch, she's just a witch in mcu and in comics magneto is her adoptive father
@@tayshaunmore I read the comics.
@@tayshaunmore Agatha took her back to Tony's missle, which showed her using mutant power to "stop that bomb", just as Agatha said: that without the Mind Stone, her ability "would've died on the vine." Now please stop. Or Google.
Room Danger in X-Men Famous in Comis and Animated , Little movies.
It's Room X-Men Training
Glad you liked it! 😅😁
The first movie isn't great, but i still maintain x2 and x3 are some of the best superhero movies. The are very street level, so they feel more relatable than a lot of the Marvel stuff. Wolverine struggling to get to Jean is such a crazy scene.
Storm IS considered an Omega level mutant, so yea she's super powerful.
They did Storm, Bobby and Magneto dirty.
Magneto is my fav!!!
