New Bullets New Powder: 8.6 Blackout

I was the same way with the 300 whisper/blackout, found a supersonic load with the 110 varmagedon bullet, the cranked out a few hundered to shoot. Same with the subsonic loads.

I have a Hornady cx255 and these Barnes TSX 225 for this powder, 1680 also has a load for these 225 weight pills too.

Remind me what charge weight we calculated. I think we did the numbers on the smaller pills

@@therevoman no one read this, this is just for nate! haha we talked about the cx225 grain hornady and this tsx225 being 28-30 grains 30 max i wrote down, of re10x.

i think thats exactly same grain of 1680 as well for 225 grain mono bullet.

@@EagleRun23 I’ll run the tax later, if the bullets have different lengths they’ll seat differently causing different pressures. ;)

@@EagleRun23 I've been using AA2015 powder for my cx 225. 2000 FPS 32.5 grains shoots super consistant.

To muddy the water even more, I recently mentioned I bought a PTG reamer for 8.6 blackout which says SAAMI spec on the PTG site, I haven't received it yet, but it was shipped. More interesting I just ordered Redding 8.6 blackout dies from Bruno Shooter. Traditionally PTG has made the reamers for Redding, so PTG reamers and Redding dies have been a safe bet. Interesting on the SAAMI label, IMO. I'm curious to compare the Hornady vs Redding dies.
