    Oris is so underrated. I've always loved the branding on the strap.

    People shouldn't underestimate the smell! I have multiples on rubber and the bracelet. The two on rubber look nice and they smell nice (two ++)! The rubber does cut the weight down a bit, too.

    I decided on the Oris Rubber Strap. It's quite comfortable with a sporty look - the fine adjustment works well.

    Other than for my Dress watch. I only wear Rubber straps. They certainly aren’t for everyone, but for my lifestyle (nothing crazy... washing car/dishes, working on dock at cottage, hunting (no sound), weight, etc) this kind of strap is better (for me) and cheaper. Current watch=SKX 007, Next watch=the Oris Aquis (39mm), Dream watch=Yachtmaster 2 (39mm). All on Rubber. Btw. I like the Oris branding on the strap. Thanks for a great video.

      The Aquis on the rubber strap has become my go to, work beater. Still super comfortable.
      All the best for acquiring your next watches.
      Thanks for watching.

    Great review brother...I prefer a rubber strap on higher end watches or at least having both. I don't like babying my watches, I feel once a watch impedes on your comfort or ability to enjoy life (without worrying about scratches, nicks, etc) the watch is not worth the $. My stainless bands get scratches very quick so I like to keep a rubber strap on the majority of the time

    • @davidm5853

      These damn stainless bracelets cost up to 1\3rd the price of the damn watch it's insane

    I bought mine with the bracelet. It is phenomenal, very well built. It lacks only the micro adjustment without tools. I just ordered the rubber band. It must be awesome as well because it is so expensive!

      The rubber strap is expensive but you'll understand why when you get your hands on it.

      Sorry for the late reply, I've only just seen this.
      I bought the strap from a German dealer I found on Chrono24. It was a few years ago now, so I don't really have any more details.
      It was a lot cheaper than buying from an AD

    • @WINDINGCROWNS
      @WINDINGCROWNS Год назад

      @@squigglyphrank9348 I don't think $200 is expensive. I just bought a new 2023 Aquis green dial on rubber. My AD said bracelet is a little over 300 and will give me a huge discount. A lot of other Swiss brands bracelets and straps are much much more expensive.

    I think the branding on the strap almost ruins it. And the limited options due to the integrated design diminishes what I think is the best dive watch under $5k

    • @WatchSlob

      Far Mand
      My wrist is 18cm.
      For those in the 19th century, that's just over 7 inches.

    I really have very skinny/thin wrists, doy you think this rubber strap is gonna be okay for an extremely thin person? or should I get the bracelet for better snug fit? thanks in advance

    • @WatchSlob
      @WatchSlob  7 лет назад +1

      The rubber strap is a lot more adjustable so you should be able to get a pretty decent fit.
      Plus, if you have very thin wrists, you can also cut the strap down.
      I think the issue for you will be the case size. This version of the Aquis is 43mm and I wouldn't want to go any bigger.
      Oris did produce a 40mm version of the Aquis. I'm not sure if they still do, but that might be more suitable for you if you can source one.
      Thanks for watching.

      Great video. One question about cutting the strap down - where abouts on the Oris strap do you cut it down?

    • @WatchSlob
      @WatchSlob  7 лет назад

      If you pause the video at 1:09, you can see the indents on the clasp end of the strap.
      There are 2 springbars that connect the strap with the clasp. Undo those and away you go. There are slots in the strap to reposition the springbars.
      If you are going to cut the strap down, just do one section at a time and check the fit.
      If you cut too much off, there's no going back !

    My rubber strap perished behind lugs within two years sending the watch to the pavement while walking along road. Will not be fitting another.

    • @WatchSlob
      @WatchSlob  5 лет назад

      That's really unfortunate.
      I don't wear mine that frequently, so it's still in pretty good nick (still smells nice too).
