I believe the new Aquis Date Calibre 400 has a easy strap change feature, like a quick release, as well as a 5 day run time on a full wind.

Great demo. I have the same watch and this was helpful.

    Great video mate
Got the same watch! Getting serviced at Oris at the moment (thought I'd better after 8y). Am considering getting a new replacement rubber strap and retaining the original clasp (got the push button titanium one). Oris want A$500 for the entire strap/clasp. Cheers

Thank you, very useful. I have the same watch and spent am age spinning the screws before looking for help. The strap came with a link to the Oris website, but the page is no longer available 🤬. When paying this sort of money for a strap, I'd have expected instructions and the proper tools. I stumped up for the strap change tool, but you actually need another screwdriver as well! I love to strap, but Oris really should try harder to provide instructions and the right tools for the job.

I'm guessing this procedure is for the pre Y head springbar screws?

    Nice helpful video!
    Can I ask you:
What tools I need if I want to transfer the clasp from one rubber strap to another. And how its done? Is it difficult. I am going to buy orange rubber (now I have black) and just wondering will I buy the orange without the clasp.
    Thanks!

All you need is a spring bar tool.
You extend the strap in the clasp and you'll see the 2 holes either side in the end plate that hold 2 spring bars.
Push the end pins in, give the end of the strap wiggle and it should pop out.
You can also do this if you need to cut the strap down to fit.
      Thanks for watching.

If you want the tool from oris, its like 60 bucks, those are proprietary screws I believe, nice video

This is the original version of the Aquis and the screws are just plain with a straight slot.
I did wonder how I would do this video if I had the new Aquis...
      Thanks for watching.

      Sorry dude.
No idea how to change the Aquis bezel.
I would very much doubt that you would be able to put a Rolex bezel on an Aquis. The bezel would be worth more than the watch !

Is that a special screw driver because it doesn’t seem like a regular little screw driver?

Picked them up a few years ago from a site called esslinger.com.
Not sure if you can still get them but good value if you can.

Where did you get the rubber straps from? I thought with Oris you had to choose between the bracelet or the strap?

    • @WatchSlob
      @WatchSlob  5 лет назад

I bought the strap from a dealer in Germany that I found on Chrono24.
It was a few years ago now and I can't remember the name.
