If you're interested in your own boat swag, LaZina opened a store where she hand-makes different items personalized for your boat from her shop in our home. Check out(channelsurfingcreations.com) if you would like to support us in keeping the videos coming.

This video is about all of the upgrades and warranty work we have done on "Channel Surfing" in the 10 months that we have owned her.
What I used to replace my batteries:
    600Amp positive busbar

    250Amp negative busbar

This might all be oversized because I'm not that electrician that spent any time calculating voltage drop over the extra distance. I basically took the approach that since I'm doing the work myself, I can upsize to ensure I'm safe and still be way ahead cost wise. I also put in a power post for the thruster battery.

The GXM54 antenna itself was $700 on amazon. The mount for it was $30. There isn't a spot on the mast to install it currently. So I went with this mount, found it off the shelf at West Marine, of all places.

The XM radio antenna addition to the Fusion radio. I spent an extra $30 on this instead:

The Vesper 8000 has a built-in GPS antenna. It's not strong enough to get a signal outside of the helm. BUT, putting this portable GPS antenna just right on top of the Vesper behind the helm works perfectly.
I used heavy-duty waterproof velcro to stick the AIS and the Splitter to the fiberglass behind the helm.

Your channel is super informative, thank you. I'm moving up this year from a 21EC to a 23. What spinner knob do you use?

I have a GXM54 and am trying to solve the same problem on my RT31. What specific XM antenna/adapter setup did you use to convert to a direct connection to the Fusion Stereo? Did you consider splitting the signal from the GXM54 or using a Shakespeare type XM Marine Antenna?

Nicely done list of upgrades. Did you rewire the hot water tank into the inverter/battery system? Given some thought to that on my C32 but concerned about forgetting about it when the boat is not running.
