I have a Young man on Instagram who I video chat... His parents passed away and it's him, his siblings and grandmother. They are from Ireland. An the link he sent me to send him money is Remitly... I wanna help them with $40-$50 dollars but I'm a bit nervous.
I used remitly for the first time. Honestly it was cheaper than western union and my sister in law got money within 10 mins. I am impressed and oh yah when I called their call center twice their customer service was 10/10

I have used remitly for almost 2 years with no issues. But as soon as I sent a larger amount, the flagged me for fraud and then locked my account. I felt like a criminal when speaking to customer service. I was highly uncomfortable. It was a horrible experience.
I send $4000 a week ago now my transaction is on hold and i cant cancel it.They been holding my money and keep telling me they will cancel it and refund me soon.No matter if i call or use the live chat i get the same answer everytime "dont worry sir we will cancel it and refund u today" and nothing happens.I suggest everyone that's reading this to stay the hell away from Remitly!
@@clsm2195 Wow. I didn't notice at 1st but they have different levels. If you send over $1500, you have to "Apply" for the next level. That's when the interrogation begins. If they don't like even one of your answers, they lock your account. They asked me if I was at my house while I was talking to them. It was an awful experience.

I had the same problem on my first transfer. They lock your account and customer service treat you like a criminal ! ( They should lock their customer service ...they should be banned ...and reported to Better Business Bureau )

i have been using this app to send to family very fast
its really good?
we have used that many times.....this is the best and the fastest way of money transfer...and it charged just 1$ from the sender payment...instead of paypal and any other payment gateway that charge much more and take days to transfer...this remitly takes 10-20 minuts to transfer the payment in the recipient bank account.

I’m trying to send money to Ukraine from Canada. But this app asked me only the name of the recipient, his phone number, and the name of the bank. No data about the recipient's bank account, not his card number. Very strange. How should the money come? Maybe someone can tell me?

I just had chat with remitly advisor as their calculator was giving me less that what it supposed to do. I just thought I ll double check this with my own calculator so, I send 3000 pound to turkey current exchange rate is 22.73 remitly calculated it as 67.785 and my calculator shows 68.190 advisor keep changing subject saying remitly is showing me estimated total. How can they give you estimated total value without warning telling you that you and take some money of you without you reliazing. I didn't double check with my own calculator I would ve gone ahead and send the money and loose 405tl which is around 18pound. Misleading and not a trustworthy company I think most customers they just send money and don't realise that they are loosing alot money. Use your own calculator guys and see the results

As here with Rently infact in reality money does not cross the border. Remitly gets this money indian rupees in their indian account and pays from the German account to recepient's German account.

You have been warned!!! I used Remitly on a few occasions. The first time they refused to give my wife her money and they profusely apologized. The second time they refused her twice and then took 14 days to put my money back in my account. I am certain the 5 star rating for this company is from bots.
