The 14 year old Honda Accord is way more reliable than a 5 year old BMW. I dumped the BMW 3, and now have 275000 miles on my 07 Accord.

Installed it a couple days ago. I've been playing with it since then and it's working great. The only thing i'm worried about is how easy it is to take it apart if someone was to break in my car. Taking off the original radio was a pain but the new faceplate took me 5 minutes to check on some wires. Other than that, AC, heater, bluetooth, radio, nav are all working great.

Excellent Video. I basically followed this video to do the upgrade. The Unit itself comes with very poor instructions , not sure why. But it is worth the effort and much better than the stock radio/unit. But as you mention, this car you show has had the radio removed before. Getting that top trim piece off the 1st time is a bear. Honda has it secured with some white adhesive in addition to the clips. Also the bottom 2 screws securing the radio underneath are the only reason for removing all the other trim pieces shown. After that initial removal, I would not bother putting those 2 underside screws back in. It makes it much easier to work on the unit for future removals and work. Nonetheless overall excellent video you guys did.

I am in the process of installing this unit. I don't think you will need tape. I believe Seicane actually provided for all, but one of the clips used to secure the OEM head unit . The white standoffs on the bottom of the Seicane unit have two screws and can be removed. There are a series of holes that allow you to reposition the standoffs in the same location as the OEM head unit. You take the little metal clips off the OEM and transfer them to the stand offs. There are also two other clip points half way up.

Great video. Great product. The only problem is the price. You can buy a Metra climate control unit($200) and an android double din radio($150+) and save a couple hundred bucks. I would buy this unit if the price was under $400. $548 plus add-ons is a little too pricey for this unit.

update: it's been in for a while now and i love it! runs a little slow but if i chill out for a minute (literally about a minute or so) before taking off it starts to run smoothly, and infinitely better than the chunky stock radio. one of the reasons it runs slow is likely the heat; my car gets up to 140° during summer when it's 117 outside. (farenheit, i wouldn't be here if i was talking celsius)
i had hacked together an aux input to that stock unit but the aux cord started to break pretty early on and only played out of one speaker and had this constant whine. i got used to it until i installed this and was able to directly link with bluetooth and stream audio right from my phone - it was life-changing.

In those 5 years it has needed new tyres and break pads and has been fine until now when it needs a new exhaust from cat back. Getting a custom stainless steel replacement again at an unbelievable price. Highly recommend these cars! These manufacturers need to make a headunit for the 300/charger/magnums. They have a huge opening.

great job! nice radio too. i have a question about Apps-does this device have XM radio option? if so, does the gps get the signal or do you need another external app like an XM antenna? If the 2003 is not compatible with SiriusXM let me know. I had it in my 2004 honda accord, it was OEM in the original radio panel and i had the roof antenna. Honda tells me they do not recommend after market tech?! But it seems this worked great. could you text me answers to my 2003 questions. thanks

Can you do the same sort of 10 inch head unit installation for a 2010 accord?

I have a similar looking head unit that I bought from Aliexpress. The installed software is different though. For the most part I am happy with it. All the buttons illuminate when I turn on the headlights, but I cannot change the colour of them to match the dash. I was wondering if you have this function available on yours. Thanks.

This is so cool question do you just plug in the wires for the radio or connect and then do the rest

I only came here, to say that I love how they mention that the Honda is 14 years old, like it's an ancient car, especially since I have a 30 year old Nissan, that has a ton of custom work done to it.

    Nice job.
I saw that your touch buttons on the left do not light up at night. I did have that problem too with my Android Car Radio.
In my Car i had a orange cabel in my original Radio Plug that is for light switch and my Radio had one orange cabel too.
So i connect them and the buttons light up. Problem solved.
You can ceck your car radio plug with an multimeter . cose a cabel with no volltage and turn on the light ...
if the multimeter shows 12V thats your light up connection.

There was tons of cars In 03 with touch screens. In fact the Japanese Lexus Sc400 had a touch screen in 1989(1990 model) with a TV and back up camera crazy stuff.

There is also aftermarket apple car play head units as well now. For people with iPhones it’s basically your iPhone screen on the head unit. Use apple maps and music and Siri like nothing.

For all of you with questions about buttons back lighting. When the headlights are off, screen is beight and only touch buttons are lit up. When you turn on the headlights, the screen dims and both touch buttons and physical buttons are lit. For now, I think the only color is green, but I am trying to figure out how to change that.
