That's just the norm lol. Poor NPCs have their brains locked behind server tick rate so the longer a server is up the more brain dumb they are.
It put me in a 15 person server yesterday with 30ish server fps. I learned that these issues are entirely server load related. The AI was downright deadly, just landing around crim bunkers was deadly as the turrets were on point. AIs would make two person coordinated pushes when alerted. An AI walking around a corner as I was shot me before I could shoot him. Left multiple bunkers heavily wounded and some in a bodybag.
AI being shit is working as intended, unfortunately. It's all server related, and since servers turn to shit really quickly, AI basically crashes down to 1% effectiveness.
@@ConnorLinley then they should implement an offline or singleplayer mode. Cuz everytime I re-download the game I’d uninstall a couple hours later due to how f*cking unplayable the game.
The game is great if it works and the community need to stop sucking RSI d*cks and grow a pair and tell them to do their f*cking job.

It is playable. 3.18 was a particularly buggy patch because they introduced Persistent Entity Streaming which was a massive backend change to how the game functions. They ironed out the major issues over 3.18.X patches and by 3.19 it was back to normal - janky, but perfectly playable.
This game looks like it will be amazing if they make it playable.
For many even it's (sometimes more, sometimes less) broken state it's already than most or all other games.

Great video! I did the same Microtech delivery mission. I was lucky as it was in the day with good vision. I took out the bad guys, grabbed the box, then the Black came in and took out my ship. So I took out those bad guys and stoled their ship. All ended well....and more fun actually.

If youre doing raid on orison you can chill in the elevators of the buildings for safety. If the door opens, the NPCs cant see or shoot you, but they can hear you, so fire some shots to get theri attention and then leave a grenade outside the door as a treat ;)

Hey, I really appreciate that you just show the game as it is: Too many Star Citizen Videos only show the one time the game isn't a hot pile of garbage and try to sell it as this amazing experience while in reality, you try to do anything for 10 hours only to end up with nothing in the end due to a plethora of nonsense. But hey, it's "just an alpha" right? Anyway stay healthy and keep up the good work :)
It’s so funny you mention that because I’m editing my next video now and I show a pretty annoying bug that has plagued a lot of people. It just is what it is. But the moments between bugs are fantastic and that’s what I wanna show. This game has a lot of bad press. But any game these days has a number of bad bugs, toxic community, or console exclusivity that keep people away. In my eyes SC is just another game. But it’s the one that made it out of kickstarter and is actually still growing.
@@ItsCozyBoy I get where you are coming from. It's just that the game exists as an Alpha since 2013 and it is weird for most people that they keep adding on new features while the existing game and features are not working as intended.
Building a solid foundation that works and then adding features and updates over time is the way to go in my opinion and the game would see tons of positive reviews if it were that way.
But as it stands, most critics only see a broken mess with die hard fans repeating the same excuses year after year and that leads to the other extreme where seemingly everyone not in love with SC just calls it a scam which is also stupid.
I also hear this again and again and again: "It is a buggy mess, it runs like crap, it is often confusing and unintuitive BUT MAN does it look it and great when it works!"
Heck, even you said something to that effect in your reply!
I backed this game 8 Years ago and i stil hope to see at least Squadron 42 coming out in my lifetime but even though i feel bitter about many things in this game let me say this: You can enjoy this "Techdemo" for a very small fee, you can enjoy a few ships, try out a few systems (If you are lucky that day ;) ) and get a good feel for what COULD be down the line.
You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to do that. Get a Starterpack of your choice and that is good enough :)
And at the end of the day it is like you said

They are fantastic indeed and if more people would show those parts but also the real state of the game then that would be amazing!

Great vid really well done and the music was giving me interstellar vibes. Man you really need to look at your radar more when flying - the enemy ship was marked in bright red the first time you went down and got blown up and then it was still there in bright red the second time you went down and got blown up! You got to treat every ship you come across like your arch enemy until proven otherwise. It's hard at the mo as the NPC ships are such a mess with empty / white ships strewn everywhere but if its blue or red on your radar - sit up and take notice.
You put a lot of effort into editing this and it shows. Easy subscribe if I'm getting SC content like this. 🔥

Just got a crime stat today for shooting a friendly with no marker which was annoying but the worst part is that I got stuck in the space station because the ship claim is busted. Loving the live release.

Just one trick mate, those rocker vests that 9 tails wear, are good for money if u sell it at some cloth stores. Each of those 2 types of rocker vest can be sold at 2400 aUEC, really good money for starters.

I remember the first time I heard about Star Citizen.
It was during break at my first job in the UK. I just stepped off a plane a couple weeks back, it was in 2012. I was young back then, barely 25, and full of hope for the future. I remember me and some buddies discussing the newest video games we'd get to play once we saved up some money to buy decent PC's. We were all very excited to play Star Citizen soon.
It was 11 years since then, and now I'm nearing middle age. I had a full life, and I regret none of it. I settled down, back again in the home country I left all those years ago, and though I never started a family, I did many things that I look fondly upon.
My one big regret is that I probably won't live to see Star Citizen released. But such is life, is it not? Only in movies do you get to cross off every bucket list box, tie off every lose end, fulfil every ambition. But on the whole, looking back at a life well lived, I am content.
Oh man... Your story really hit me in the feels... I hope Star Citizen will come out of Alpha soon so you can fulfill that old dream!

Had exacly the same experience today with the „repel orison“ Mission 4x times… I decided to go salvaging with the „Venture“ which was quite good. Earned 400 in 3 hours without dying. Nice vid!

Also take downs now count as dead when doing bunkers so you don't have to kill them but if you don't kill them you don't get the 500 AUEC from call to arms

Exactly, Star Citizen is about the experience you get while playing, it's not an efficiency sweatfest like most hardcore survival games, or eve online

Nothing is better than seeing them all crouching on benches
Don't forget to always turn your engines off after landing cause some planets and moons have heavy winds that can cause the ship to blow or float away after you leave the pilot seat

The random orbital strike sent me.
I started again this update and second bunker mission I already shot a friendly. It’s ok tho, next I soloed a bunker with no guns since I couldn’t find a gun store so just decided to wing it. I was able to grab guns off the dead guys. Very fun overall.

lesson from bunker mission when you loot and wear bad guy armor, when you meet other player on same bunker, they will shoot you thinking you are the bad guy

How often can you save ? What do you lose when you die ? What do you keep ?
When you die you loose everything unless you go back and pick it up. You can store things at space stations so you don’t loose it.

Hi, great video, how did you learn to fly your ship so well? My ship, as I learn, is all over the place.
Practice practice. The C8X is a pretty Spazzy ship and can be hard to control. I’ve had my fair share of over shooting and crashing my ship into buildings or mountains.
I love the feeling of being in space and just looking around I really want the corsair but yeah its expensive but what I hate in star citizen is I really dont know what to do like the only pve combat you can do are bountys and bunker missions and they get boring the more you do them.
I’ve been there. That’s why I started these videos. It makes it more fun to explore and get artsy shots. It slows me down and I enjoy every detail of the game.

@Cozy Boy relatable, lol. Went on a trip in my aurora with a buddy yesterday and fell out of the ship so he had to turn around and get me, then we met up with another player after running out of quantum fuel and eva'd to their ship where I got stuck in the hull and took lethal damage. Good news though, they got me out and stuck me with a medpen so we were able to complete our mission and get paid. Love this game
The AI is actually comparable to other shooters. It's the server tick rate that makes them seem blind. Play on a goldilocks server and they'll mess you up legitimately.

My first security mission , the "Black box recovery" , got killed in the first 5 seconds, then got charged 30k for a medic. That's why I gave up on SC.

@@JuanBrolo DANG! you're stacked! Also look at the C8R, replaces some cargo space for a medical bed. I have one on my main account and I love using it to get around quickly and patch me up if things get spicy.

@@ItsCozyBoy if you need any of those ships I can still make any lti ship lol. I still have about 14 upgrades to the merchantman that keeps it around the 380 price range. I used my last 250 upgrade on mine the rest are from the redeemer to the merchantman and from the Andromeda to the redeemer at it's original cost

Watching a lot of glitches in this video or you talking about common ones that don't happen to you like not spawning in your ship is extremely jarring. Oddly enough at 10:43, that bug is actually immersive in a funny way really.

I just started playing last year and since then it already feels like a brand new game. I'd like to think the game will come out in 2025 but they have a lot more foundational technology to roll out before this game is even optimized enough for more people to play it. It does feel good to be on the ground floor of something new.
