I think it's interesting that Konnichiwa is "こにちわ" instead of the correct "こんにちは" it's sort of something lost in translation that a lot of people who just start learning Japanese might spell it the first way instead of the second correct way. It's really fitting for the Tems seeing as their grasp on language is quite bad in either language lol Edit: Perhaps a better way to translate would be "Hewwo" instead of "Hello"
It is to emulate Tem's bad grammar. I have to say, Undertale's JP publisher did a great job at localising the game. You know they did so when the boys and the girls who have streamed the game have shown understanding of certain puns / jokes / characters at different points of the game.

Japanese doesn't usually use gendered pronouns and in this instance I don't think they used any here either so I guess that the translator just went for the default "he".
