I started sleeping floors after high-school, then switched shops (went with the painter) because I was going to go to wyotech, but the painter at that time told me, I'll teach you 95%. I gotta keep a couple secrets he told me lol. So I was under his wing, started to edge in parts then the first car I painted (driver side) was a late 90's bmw and ran it from headlight to taillight on the hard body line those cara have. The first thing my boss said was, if you ain't running you ain't learning.
My start time in a autobody shop I went straight to the paint booth skip everything else because I started out painting my own cars so I had the experience I used my own car as my résumé when they saw how well everything looks I got a test run in the booth that’s how I got my start
Took me 14 years to get in my paint booth learned to do lil body work learned sanding learn masking and now I'm the painter at maaco took 14 years but I love it ❤❤❤
