Thank you for the information. I have a beautiful croton that was a gift to me five years ago. I'm learning to take the best care of it I can. Since you never know, I'm going to propagate it to try and make sure I always have a part of it. So, this information is important to me in a special way. Thanks again.
You just subscribed to my channel thing and I really appreciate that. I only have like 40 people so that really means a lot to have someone like you as one of them. We love your videos and use your ideas all over our garden. Thanks again. And for making the videos.
@@GardenTricks of course brother. My wife actually works at a organics and produce market here in Florida so we get a bunch of cool plants and trimmings we take home and nurse back to life lol. We just now started to kitchen scraps to grow with. Amazing how many things can just be planted rather than thrown in the trash. We wanted to start mixing plants together if you know anything about that? Like hybrid citrus or something like that. Also here in Florida we have a pretty great grow season. Almost year around. And not because of the cold but the dang hurricanes lol. Talk soon Brother.
@@michaeltodd2923 Many things can be regrown from kitchen scraps like cilantro, mint, spinach, beet root, onion, ginger, garlic, etc. also guava, strawberry, etc. You can also turn kitchen scraps into compost. I have a video on regrowing cilantro ruclips.net/video/C9bQjJ3_cgI/видео.html
No need of cutting crotons leaves in half, it will still root. Best to root in a mud type mixture not soupy. I do this all the time works great. Key is to keep the soil wet do not let it dry out!!
Very Nice video 👌👌 Sir I have tried many times but not get success. I don't know what are the reasons. Now again I will try, this time I will go to your method
You will succeed if you follow the pricedure. You can also grow croton cutting in water quite easily in water like this ruclips.net/video/5lqUQUQpDTM/видео.html
I need help! I have a very small croton mammy that was part of an arrangement from my father's funeral. So it is very important! I repotted it and the leaves kept falling off. When it had only 2 leaves left, I removed them, pruned the roots and carved some of the stem at the bottom for new roots to form. I then planted the stem in a pot and covered it in plastic. I am worried that the roots are bad! Could I just cut the whole bottom of the stem off like you did here? It has roots on it. How can I save this plant? I have also placed some living leaves in water 16 days ago but I don't see any root development at all. Thanks!!!
If you have put the rooted plant in the enclosed bag, then it may die. You can cut a 5-6-inch long cutting from the top end of the branch and try to root that as shown in the video. If you have over-watered your plant then the leaves s may have dropped due to that, the stems will also become lumpy.
Thank you. I like this video. I have a question. When you say "Enclose in a clear polythene bag". Is Enclose totally, no air or I have to do some hole to the bag? ...Sorry by my english
Thanks, you liked the video. You have to fully enclose the pot in the bag. The enclosed air is sufficient for the cuttings. The aim is to create a mini green house having high humidity, needed for roots development.
I like your natural voice better and I don't find it difficult to understand. The robo-voice kind of makes you suspicious that the info is not good (although I'm sure it is and you just used that because of your accent). Regardless, thank you so much for sharing this info. It's the wrong time now, but I'm going to try to propagate my croton in the spring. :) Yours look so bushy!
You can add Bajari used in building construction work. You have beaches, use beach sand after washing it. Or buy Perlite from garden shop. The aim is to make the soil porous so that it becomes free-fraining draining.
Croton do not grow very tall. If you timely prune the growing tip of the branches, then the tree will become bushy. If you grow croton in containers, you can move the plant if required
First ensure that your croton plant is not dead. You may give some fertilizer or add some cow manure and see what happens in one month. The plant may lose some leaves in winter, new leaves may emerge in summer.
If water is more or less. If you feel soil damp below 1 inch , then stop watering for a few days. If water stays on the soil, then place the pot in sun for a few hours and then mix some coarse sand in the soil. If you feel dry soil, then water. Always water away from the center.
Leaves par hath lagane se yadi dhili soggy lage to iska matlab ki pani adhik hai. Kam pani se croton ka plant marega nahi, lekin adhik pani se plant mar sakta hai. Isliye croton ko pani kam dena chahiye. Hope your croton plant will survive.
The method is the same, but you should try only in the growing season, in summer. Try taking a semi hard cutting in winter. The croton cuttings may strike.
You should try 4-5 cuttings, then some may root without rooting hormone. Or you can use aloe Vera gel in place of chemical rooting hormone as shown in this video ruclips.net/video/nMjIDTZitYI/видео.html
@@lawrence6699 The sealed bag method is a simple substitute for rooting the cuttings. Once the cuttings are rooted, you have to take out of the bag and replant.

@@GardenTricks thanks.
Thank you! And in reading the comments I noticed that cinnamon or honey or aloe vera is also a wonderful to use in place of rooting hormone! Thank you
Yes, they can be used as rooting hormone. I have found that aloe Vera gel is the best as it contains auxins rooting hormone.

Hello sir I newly gained your channel please tell me about cassia nadosa care in a pot thanks
Thanks for subscribing my channel. I will post a video on cassia nadosa care in future.
thanks for you what's the powder used for cutting
It is thr rooting hormone, which promotes rooting. You can use aloe Vera pulp as rooting hormone.
Im in the Philippines - do I need the plastic bag to cover them still as we have high humidity
It is always good to cover to maintsin high humid environment.
Full watch 😊
Hello, if i place the croton cuttings in water vase under bright sunlight, will it survive untill root, please advise
Place the cutting in water in bright shade, not in direct sun light.

Can you explain why you cut the leafs in half?
To minimise the water loss due to evaporation from leaves.
What is the reason for cutting the leaves in half of the stems being propagated?
To decrease water/moisture loss in soil through leaves.
@@GardenTricks thank you.

whats that white liquid b4 putting to soil
It is rooting hormone, which encourages root growth. You can try growing without this as shown here

The propagation of crotons is done from a new growth, so cut the stem when the plant is growing. jab nayee daliyan ug rahi ho tab.

To make the soil free draining so that water does not stand, otherwise cuttings will rot.

there is NO easy way to grow a croton UNLESS you have a green house, or get lucky, cause they are one tough house plant to grow,
That is why I enclose the planted cuttings in a sealed bag which creates high humidly inside similar to a green house.
They seem to lose vigor indoors, and fail to thrive (except in a greenhouse).
@@lawrence6699 The sealed bag method is a simple substitute for rooting the cuttings. Once the cuttings are rooted, you have to take out of the bag and replant.
