The Girdle Bug, Pat's Rubber Legs, and Sexy Stone fly patterns are all very similar. The Girdle Bug is a classic fly with a black body and white legs. Pat's Rubber Legs and Sexy Stone are usually made in buggier colors, such as coffee or black variegated chenille with barred rubber legs.
The Girdle Bug fly is a trout fly that imitates stonefly nymphs. It's also known as the "McGinnis Rubber Legs", "Rubber Legged Stone", "Sexy Stone", or "Ugly Bug Nymph" and was created by Frank McGinnis in the 1930's.

Nice simple technique!
Thank you
@@flytyingzonedavehise this is a very productive all-season bug on the Little Blackfoot watershed for me. With HE and PT it’s an always at hand option.
@kurzhaarguy always a great option
Phenomenal as always 💪💪

whoop whoop! 👏👏👏👏🙌🙌
🥳🥳
I like the leg tie-in method. It’s efficient. How do you determine the leg and antennae length? I haven’t tied one of these but on other rubber legged flies, I use body length for antennae and 2 or 3x hook gape for the legs.
I just cut ✂️ 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Thanks for the lesson. Is your buddy a black or " coffee mocha" Lab? 😊❤ Love 'em all!
Cheers. Fisher is a chocolate.
@fishablerealisticfliesdavehise Great! Had Labs for over 30 years and we live with 4 right now. Great companions. Give Fisher a hug from this " old" fisher :o)
@@joeduca8582 the best companions.
Music is a bit extreme.
I think it's perfect.
