My electrical project is finally finished! Woohoo! Ahh... it feels so good to have these major projects done in the van. Follow along as I install a LiTime Battery Monitor for my lithium batteries in my camper van.
If you'd like to see everything I use in my van, click here: www.minivancam...
Welcome to Minivan Camper Gal! I'm Kelly and I camp and travel in a Chrysler Pacifica Minivan, doing part-time van life. Here you will find van build videos, tips on the digital nomad lifestyle, general travel vlog videos, and more. I'm into minimalism, and I eat a mostly plant-based vegan diet. I'm still learning how to do vegan vanlife well! I have some great vegan camping recipes to share with you, but would love some suggestions, too! Sometimes I stealth camp in the city, but mostly I like to boondock. Join me and my camper van as we embark on all the car camping adventures!

Nice job, video made more sense than 3 others I watched. New subscriber, just starting out with you tube. Stay tuned this 70 year old is going to attempt a van build 🤣🤣 FYI have seen some of your videos in the past, all good.

    Hi Kelly,
I believe you have the coolest van in the land. The monitor you installed will keep you informed and is already paying off by alerting you to the solar panel problem and you were able to fix by yourself. Way to go! Now it's time to enjoy your investment and all your hard work. I hope you get a million miles out of your lovely van.
    -----Steve.

Well done Kel another triumph ! They should install a lid that flaps down to hide the display though, or as you said, figure out a dimmer button or time the display off. They could include a pair of dark sunglasses with every order ! You could put a hook above on the frame and hang a tea cloth ! I like it dark at night don't you? ❤😎

A battery monitor "Fuel Gauge" like that is essential. It lets you go to bed knowing you won't wake up to some alarm going off because the battery died in the middle of the night and the furnace and refrigerator can't run. I installed the Victron, but the Renogy or LiTime are much less expensive.

    Love my BMS!
I installed one in my electrical system too.
Great information, and to your point: great for troubleshooting.
Let us know how those plastic mirror clips work out.
(Quite frankly, I’m hesitant about using hard plastic like that. Those clips are brittle)

Seems like an "ok" device. I know several companies use that type, however, I'd rather go with a monitor that has Bluetooth built in.

This is why a portable power station is so convenient that you don't need all that space and wires and all those components, and it's portable
